Travel video about destination Vancouver in Canada.
Vancouver is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the American continent, a dynamic metropolis set in a beautiful location with a temperate climate throughout the year.
Close to the harbor area, the city's skyscrapers have proliferated in recent years. The capital of the southwestern province of British Columbia has developed into an economic centre of renown.
The city's oldest buildings were built less than 100 years ago because the former wooden houses of old Vancouver were destroyed by fire. Several buildings reflect the origin of their inhabitants and are similar to those in the United States and Europe.
Inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, an elegant structure of pink stone and glass, Canada Place, is located in the busy centre of the new harbor district and is also the city's most recent landmark. Close by is Harbor Centre, a modern skyscraper complex with a shopping centre and a Skylift to the top floor. A glass elevator transports visitors to a 167-metre high observation platform where the view across the city, harbor and bay is overwhelming.
The exciting Skytrain is the city's most popular means of transport, an ultra-modern train built on posts that zig zags its way through the city. Each of the city's most important destinations are easily accessible and it has reduced the city's traffic problems considerably.
For the World Exhibition of 1986, on the edge of Chinatown, gardeners and craftsmen from Suzhou, China established Canada's first classical Chinese garden, the Doctor Sun Yat Sen Garden. Its ponds, bridges and small pavilions are similar to those in China, masterpieces of Far Eastern garden design.
Everything in Vancouver is youthful, attractive and dynamic, a place in which Canadian politeness unites with the Pacific way of life!

Welcome to Toronto, the largest city in Canada and a hub of trade and culture.
“The City That Works” is full of a can-do spirit that is reflected in its buildings. From the famous CN Tower to the castle-like Casa Loma, there’s all sorts of eye candy for the architecture enthusiast. Your Toronto tour should include a trip to Edward Gardens in Hyde Park, or one of the many other green spaces located in the city. Take a bike ride along the trails, or enjoy a picnic while the local chipmunks look on. Don’t drop anything; they’ll grab it.
Your Toronto sightseeing can continue at the Harborfront Center. Go for a walk along the marina, or grab a pint at a brewhouse. And no trip to Toronto is complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, so make sure you’ve got your team paraphernalia in order before you venture inside. Looking for shopping? You’ll find the Underground City and Kensington Market ready to welcome you and your credit card – or several credit cards, as the case may be. After a day of madcap purchasing, why not stock up on fresh, healthy food at the St. Lawrence Market? You’ll have worked up quite an appetite for delicious local produce.
Before you leave, head to Niagara Falls and take in the spectacle of nature’s power. You’ll never forget the sight and sound of all that water pouring over the falls, nor will you ever forget your trip to Toronto.

When you arrive in Quebec, you’ll immediately notice its unique combination of old-world architecture, French elegance, and North American friendliness. Throw in a penchant for winter sports and a rich historical past, and you’ll have plenty to do in its capital, Quebec City.
The walled Upper Town is on the to-see list of most Quebec tours. This is part of the historic Old Quebec, first settled by Europeans in 1608. You’ll find a fantastic view of the St. Lawrence River, along with winding streets filled with historic buildings housing restaurants, pubs, and small shops.
Venture out into the oldest retail center on the continent and enjoy a croissant and a coffee, then go for a bike ride along the Old Port. This used to be one of the world’s largest shipping thoroughfares, though now it’s known primarily as a cruise ship destination.
If you’re in the mood to meet some of the local wildlife, head to the Quebec Aquarium, where you can see polar bears, seals, and other animals that inhabit the Arctic. Feeling like reaching great heights? Stop by Montmorency Falls, where you can hike up to an observation point and marvel at the beauty of the natural landscape.
All this walking and hiking will make you hungry, so at dusk, visit Rue St. Paul’s many restaurants to pick out the perfect place for dinner. The city is buzzing late into the night; if you’re up for dancing, a drink, or a cup of coffee after dinner, you’ll be in good company.

Travel video about destination Canada.
The journey starts in Halifax and stretches right across Canada, from east to west and from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Halifax is situated in a deep, well-defined bay on the Atlantic coastline and has one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world.Ville De Quebec is the capital of the likewise-named province of Canada. In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing building in the world and in less than a minute its lift ascends 335 metres to the top. Niagara Falls lies between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on the Canadian-American border. A trip on the ‘Maid Of The Mist’ is a magnificent experience where the tremendous power of the water is awesome. Three times a week, the Canadian, with its 30 wagons, 2 locomotives and total length of more than a kilometre, winds its way through the Rocky Mountains the water from which accumulates from mountain glaciers and flows into three oceans: the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Arctic. The capital of the south west province of British Columbia, Vancouver, is located beside the Pacific Ocean and is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the North American continent. A fitting final destination for a tour of Canada’s wonderworld of magnificent contrasts.

It is a journey to the solitude of Alaska and its splendid wildlife. We begin in Vancouver, Canada’s pearl of the Pacific Ocean, along the Alexander Archipelago in the Gulf Of Alaska. Vancouver is a young city full of joie de vivre with captivating charm and European flair, set in a beautiful location and with a mild climate. Next to the snow-white tented roof of the densely built quay near to Canada Place, is the centre of a new harbour where cruise ships from all over the world come and go. Ketchikan is a small town is located five hundred and twenty six nautical miles north of Vancouver and was founded by the Tlingit Indians. In the 1880’s the town based its economy on salmon and wood but today it relies upon tourism. Creek Street is a wooden construction on stilts located along Ketchikan Creek, previously the city’s red light district but now full of elegant shops and restaurants. Since 1900, Juneau has been the capital city of Alaska, the forty ninth state of the U.S.A. Tlingit Indian leader, Chief Kowee, discovered gold in Gold Creek and the gold rush began! The spacious and speedy gondolas of the Mount Roberts Tramway travel up the mountain of the same name with fine views of the harbour with its cruise ships, the Gastineau Channel, the Chilkat Mountains and the Inside Passage. The ice flows of the thirty two glaciers of the Kenai National Park Fjords are now melting faster than they can grow and the fjords are becoming larger. Yet still the landscape is a huge wonder of nature, a remote world of ice and snow. Alaska is the epitome of vastness, wilderness and natural scenery, a unique habitat far from civilization.

A glimpse of the City of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. This is my favorite city in Canada and one of the most beautiful in the world in terms of location. When visiting the country, this city is a must. It is truly world-class!
Filmed at the end of April - early May 2015.
Vancouver is consistently named as one of the top five worldwide cities for livability and quality of life. It's a coastal seaport city with a metropolitan population of over 2.5 million inhabitants, the third most populous in Canada.
Vancouver is one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada. 52% of its residents have a first language other than English.
Vancouver is one of Canada's warmest cities in the winter. On average, snow falls on eleven days per year. It's also one of the wettest Canadian cities.
Vancouver is one of Canada's largest industrial centres. Port Metro Vancouver, is Canada's largest and most diversified. While forestry remains its largest industry, Vancouver is well known as an urban centre surrounded by nature, making tourism its second-largest industry. Each year over a million people pass through Vancouver on cruise ship vacations, often bound for Alaska.
Vancouver has one of the largest urban parks in North America, Stanley Park, a 1,001 acre public park that borders the downtown and is almost entirely surrounded by waters of Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The park is surrounded by the near-century-old Vancouver Seawall, which can draw thousands of residents and visitors to the park every day. The park also features forest trails, beaches, lakes, children's play areas, and the Vancouver Aquarium, among many other attractions. In June, 2014 Stanley Park was named ‘top park in the entire world’ by TripAdvisor.
Major film production studios in Vancouver and Burnaby have turned Greater Vancouver and nearby areas into one of the largest film production centres in North America, earning it the film industry nickname, Hollywood North.
Vancouver has hosted many international conferences and events, including Expo 86, the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2010 Winter Paralympics. In 2014, following thirty years in California, the annual TED conference made Vancouver its indefinite home. Several matches of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup were played in Vancouver, including the final at BC Place Stadium.

With a population of only 300,000, Iceland can feel like the most isolated place on earth, yet its capital Reykjavik, is only a three-hour flight from London and just under six from New York.
Reykjavik is relaxed and welcoming, yet possesses a cultural life that holds its own against other European capitals. Most buildings are built simple and low to beat the North Atlantic winds. However, the city is also graced with grand civic architecture inspired by Iceland’s natural beauty, such as the soaring central tower of Hallgrímskirkja.
Many of the country’s most popular sights are within easy reach of Reykjavík. Immerse yourself in the spirit of Iceland, at the Blue Lagoon. Then spend a day or two in The Golden Circle, an area which encompasses three of Iceland’s greatest natural wonders; Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Field, and Gullfoss.
Iceland’s main ring road strings together an endless series of epic landscapes. Less than two hours drive east of Reykjavik are two of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Continue eastward towards Vík, Iceland’s southern-most village, where you’ll find the dramatic landscapes of Black Beach, Reynisdrangar, and Dyrholaey. Follow the ring road for another two hours into the ethereal light of Jökulsárlón Lake, where icebergs break away from Europe’s largest glacier and float for years before tumbling out to sea.
Head north and feel the earth rumble at Europe’s mightiest waterfall, Dettifoss. Then explore the Myvatn region, a tranquil lake surrounded by nature in all its violent beauty. Take a careful walk through the boiling landscape of Namafjall, lose yourself amid the lava pillars of Dimmuborgir, and peer into the caldera of Krafla Volcano.
Known as the Capital of the North, Akureyri is the perfect place to warm up and enjoy some creature comforts, before heading off into the wilds again. In Iceland, every side road is a story waiting to unfold. So come, and live your own Icelandic story, it’s one you’ll keep telling for the rest of your days.

Santiago de Chile, a city of extremes, is surrounded by the world’s longest mountain range, driest desert, largest ocean and southernmost grassy plains. The cosmopolitan South American capital has the perfect mix of both historic and ultra-modern attractions.
The lively Plaza de Armas houses the divine Metropolitan Cathedral and the National History Museum. Santa Lucía Hill is the place where the city was founded by the Spanish in the 16th-century and the Chilean Museum of pre-Colombian Art shows what life was like here before colonial rule.
La Moneda Palace is the seat of government and the place of Augusto Pinochet’s 1973 military coup. The Museum of Memory and Human Rights documents the dictator’s repressive regime.
Santiago has many city parks. Parque Bicentenario is in Vitacura, while the sculptures of Parque de las Esculturas are in Providencia. Centrally located Parque Forestal, houses the Museum of Contemporary Art. Nearby is Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, in a former train station.
Find colorful street art, craft shops and sidewalk cafés in Bellavista. From this neighborhood, you can access Cerro San Cristóbal to look back at Santiago one more time before exploring Chile’s many natural treasures.

Jerry Brown Travels Vancouver Island The Bouchard Gardens.
The Butchart Gardens is a group of floral display gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada, located near Victoria on Vancouver Island. The gardens receive close to a million visitors each year. The gardens have been designated a National Historic Site of Canada due to their international renown.
In 1909, when the limestone quarry was exhausted, Jennie set about turning it into the Sunken Garden, which was completed in 1921. They named their home "Benvenuto" ("welcome" in Italian), and began to receive visitors to their gardens.
Ownership of The Gardens remains within the Butchart family; the owner and managing director since 2001 is the Butcharts' great-granddaughter Robin-Lee Clarke.
USA Today and 10Best.com readers chose The Butchart Gardens (the only Canadian garden on the list) as one of the 10 Best Public Gardens (we're #3).
In the National Geographic's 320-page Four Seasons of Travelbook, released October 15, 2013, The Butchart Gardens was named one of the Top 10 Magnificent Gardens.

Lori and I are visiting Vancouver Canada we thought you'd like to look at some the street performers as we do a little walking tour of the city.
Vancouver Canada is a very clean and well organized city. It is very easy to take public transportation as you explore the surrounding areas.
If you don't understand how to use the various transportation just ask somebody. The people here are very helpful.
As we explored the city on foot we were entertained by some of the most colorful and vibrant Street entertainers. The entertainers are so excited about their performances and definitely give you a fun and entertaining show. Be very generous with them because they are providing an art-form. Drop a few coins or dollar bills in their basket as a way of showing your appreciation.

Greg Hung (Owner of ChicVoyage Productions) drew on inspiration he had from home sickness experienced after almost 2 months of travel in Asia to produce a tribute to Vancouver.
Fresh off filming in Asia, HD footage during the 2012 Winter season at Whistler and Grouse was captured. This video consists of 8 months of accumulated effort and passion and features greater Vancouver, Whistler, Tofino, Grouse Mountain, and Cypress were used in this video. Some other areas featured include Granville Island, Coal Harbour, Richmond, Lonsdale Quay, Granville Street, Butchard Gardens, Cambie Village, and English Bay.
ChicVoyage Productions is a part of the ChicVoyage group based in Vancouver, BC. Chicvoyage productions focus is on HD cinematic video tours and travel productions worldwide.

After traveling as much as I have you learn to appreciate that Vancouver is a naturally beautiful city. It is most beautiful during the summer months and during rare sunny days during the winter in the mountains. I must admit there are times during the year when Vancouver is wet and cloudy. Watching this video helps me connect with why I love Vancouver. I wanted to share the natural beauty of Vancouver in an my own way through my vision and hopefully inspire travelers to visit and remind Vancouverites to appreciate the beautiful city that we have. I had in mind my family in Singapore and my little nephews to give them a chance to see what the snow is like on our world class ski resorts. I've placed coordinates in the named locations so visitors can look up the coordinates on google maps if they want to visit those spots.

The essential Toronto Travel Guide - Emily Agard tours us around the best places to eat, drink, shop, and play in Toronto.
What to do in Toronto in the month of December 2014.
There's so much to do in December this month! Emily tours you to the hippest places and events in the city. First stop in this month's adventure is the Christmas Market in Distillery District, a haven for great fashion finds and holiday spirit.
Get know to Michelangelo up close and personal through his exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario titled ‘Quest for Genius: Michelangelo’ which runs until January 2015. This exhibit showcases the trials and frustrations of Michelangelo which ultimately led to genius.
There are definitely lots of things to do and see on your next visit to Toronto! If you're in town this month of December catch:
• Toronto Christmas Market — Nov 28 — December 21
• Quest for Genius: Michelangelo —18 October - 11 January
• New Years Eve Celebrations at Nathan Phillip Square — Midnight New Years Eve
• The Nutcracker - 14 December - 4 January
While in Toronto, make sure you check out:
• CN Tower Edgewalk
• Toronto Zoo
• Allen Gardens
• Casaloma
• Hockey Hall of Fame
• Art Gallery of Ontario
• Royal Ontario Museum
• Toronto Islands
• Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
While at the CN Tower, check out the 360 restaurant for dinner with a great views of the city, or the AGO Frank restaurant for an artistic side to dinner.
There are a host of Museums in Toronto such as the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum.
Want to try something different, check out EdgeWalk. Walk and lean above the clouds on the top of the CN Tower. At 152 stories high, this is something you need to check out.
You can't go past Eaton Centre, Bloor Street, and Queen Street when it comes to shopping in Toronto and, of course, Yorkville Road in general.

Travel video about destination Coast to Coast in the country Canada.
Sweden is located in the south of Scandinavia between the North Sea and the East Sea. The Göta Canal connects Kattegatt on the west coast, with the east coast and is the main waterway through Sweden from Gothenburg to Stockholm. From Gothenburg, we travel by boat, the Göta Älv, inland. One remarkable lock after the other opens up huge gates and the inflow of water raises the boat to the next level. The Trollhättan Canal Museum provides a good insight into the construction of the lock system and old drawings show its planning and construction from 1609. It also includes the history of the Göta Canal and how in 1718 Christopher Polhem was commissioned by CharlesThe Twelfth to build a canal. The pathways alongside the canal were once tow paths where oxen pulled the ships along by rope and trees were planted to provide shade to both Man and beast. Our journey leads into the waters of Bottensjön that is connected to Lake Vättern until we finally arrive at the port of Karlsborg. Behind the walls of Karlsborg Fortress are barracks, various buildings and a church. It is a truly massive construction, built in 1809 after Sweden lost Finland to Russia. Located on the idyllic Lovön Island is the royal castle of Drottningholm Slott that is the main residence of the Swedish royal family, the Versailles Of The North. Queen Hedvig Eleonora had this Baroque castle built in 1662 and in 1744 it was presented to Queen Louisa Ulrika as a wedding gift. This classic route from coast to coast has been an amazing experience with the "Blue Ribbon of Sweden" an unforgettable dream!

Travel video about destination Toronto in Canada.
Toronto is a sensational city. Canada’s ‘secret’ capital: boomtown, show town and financial metropolis, clean, safe and with five million inhabitants.Gigantic skyscrapers and with a frenetic lifestyle, Toronto is where many Canadian banks and multi-national companies have their palatial offices of steel and glass built in what was once a waterfront wilderness. The old City Hall was built in 1899 in Victorian style and consists mainly of sandstone. Its Venetian clock tower faces an array of modern skyscrapers and almost opposite is the futuristic looking new City Hall, a symbol of the city’s cosmopolitan flair. It’s easy to become disorientated in Toronto’s Underground City. Most of this subterranean complex extends beneath the financial district and is the largest of its type in the world with countless shops, restaurants and subway stations. An endless network of corridors and passages connects these vast shopping centres and offices to the Central Business District.Since 1975 the city has possessed a unique monument, the Canadian National Tower or, the C.N.Tower. At a speed of six metres a second four external elevators zoom to the top of the building and it takes only fifty-eight seconds to reach the Skypod platform. The massive Skydome stadium is home to the Blue Jays baseball team. The huge pitch contains a hundred and six rolls of light green turf and is illuminated by more than seven hundred two thousand watt spotlights. The building is multi-functional and has a movable dome that can be opened and closed as necessary depending upon the weather. Niagara Falls, although extremely touristy, is an unforgettable experience. For the adventurous there are bridges and platforms close to the raging waters and the roar of the mighty torrent can be heard from a great distance while the awe-inspiring view of the waterfalls make it easy to forget the surrounding hustle and bustle of fellow sightseers. The Indian meeting place of bygone times has been transformed into a huge city that is a true gem among Canada’s other great cities. Toronto is without a doubt the most multicultural city in the world!

Travel video about destination Montréal in Canada.
Canada's second largest city, Montreal is a fascinating blend of European charm and the American way of life.
In Vieux-Montreal, narrow lanes and small houses recall the past and also the lifestyle of the original settlers. In the old fire station at Place d'Youville - one of the oldest markets in Montreal -- is the Centre d'Histoire in which the 350 year cultural history of the city is on display, from the development of the Irokese Settlement, its prolific fur trade, and right up to today's shining, energetic Metropolis.
Although Montreal is located 1,600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country's interior, to the ocean. A trip on the Saint Lawrence River with the pleasure boat, BATEAU-MOUCHE, contrasts old, historic warehouses with the highly contemporary apartment block of the Cité du Havre Habitat.
Le Tour Olympique, Montreal's "Crooked Tower", offers panoramic views which extend more than 80 kilometres from its 175 metre tall viewing platform. Next to the Olympic Stadium, the Biodome, in which exotic animals from many corners of the world roam among waterfalls and tropical forests.
Next to the gleaming skyscrapers of the inner city, there are museums, churches and art galleries and in the old quarter, there are more historic buildings than in any other North American city, not forgetting the parks and the romantic harbor. Montreal is a gem!
