Loewe (Spanish: [ˈlweβe]) is a Spanish luxury clothing and accessories brand based in Madrid and is owned by the LVMH Group. Loewe is known around the world as being one of the very best when it comes to luxury leather goods.

Loewe's story goes back to 1846, when Madrid was preparing for two royal marriages, that of Her Majesty Isabel II of Bourbon to the Duke of Cadiz and that of the Princess Maria Luisa Fernanda to the Duke of Montpensier. That same year, a group of Spanish craftsmen opened a leather goods workshop in the most commercial district in Madrid, Lobo street (later Echegaray Street) in central Madrid. It was in 1872 when Enrique Roessberg Loewe, a German craftsman specialized in leather working, arrived in Madrid and decided to join forces with the leather workshop owners and establish the brand. Twenty years later, in 1892, E. Loewe was present in the streets of Madrid, with a large poster staking his claim and marking an entire era. It was then that the firm began to become known among the general public. Enrique Loewe brought his precision and technique and Spain its sensuality, creativity and peerless expertise in leather.

Industrialization moved the production of many household items, such as soap, from local communities to centralized factories. When shipping their items, the factories would literally brand their logo or insignia on the barrels used, extending the meaning of "brand" to that of trademark.

Linda Evangelista (born May 10, 1965) is a Canadian model. She has been featured on over 600 magazine covers. Evangelista is mostly known for being the longtime muse of photographer Steven Meisel. She holds the record for her multiple appearances on the cover of Vogue Italia, all of which were photographed by Meisel.

Evangelista was born to Italian parents^{[citation needed]} who emigrated to Canada and was raised in a working-class, traditional Roman Catholic family in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada near Niagara Falls, where she attended Denis Morris Catholic High School. Her father worked for GM and her mother, Marisa, was a bookkeeper. She has two brothers. Linda knew she wanted to become a model when she was 12 years old. Evangelista began modelling when she was discovered by an agent from Elite Model Management at the 1988 Miss Teen Niagara beauty pageant.

Evangelista later moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management. She then moved to Paris to further her career. She worked extensively with fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh who encouraged her to consider a short do. Top hairdresser Julien Dy's then cut her hair into what she described as "a bowl cut with sideburns". She cried during the haircut but it turned out to be the defining moment of her career.

Stuart Vevers graduated from the University of Westminster in 1996. His first job was at Calvin Klein followed by Bottega Veneta, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton where he worked with Marc Jacobs. He joined Mulberry as Creative Director in 2005 and was instrumental in the company's success, transforming their leather goods into the must-have bags. He has also collaborated with Luella Bartley and Designer of the Year, Giles Deacon. In 2006, he won the British Fashion Council's Accessory Designer of the Year award. In July 2007 it was announced that he had been appointed Creative Director of Loewe.

After Bottega Veneta, Stuart Vevers joined Mulberry as their creative director in 2005. Mulberry is a British luxury brand that is known for its leather bags for men and women. In addition to leather goods like the Roxanne and the Bayswater handbags, which have become covetable fashion classics, they also produce menswear womenswear, and footwear for women.

During his time at Mulberry he was responsible for increasing the brands high profile public image with a range of highly desirable bags, accessories and clothes as well as a highly successful advertising campaign photographed by Steven Meisel.
