"That's the thing about Wales really, we talk until the cows come home (..) we're very sociable people" The track starts at Bronwydd (near Carmarthen) in South Wales, and travels along a short section of the former Carmarthen to Aberystwyth railway line. A steep climb out of Bronwydd village, travels through open fields and wooded hills, hugging the River Gwili all the while. A round trip takes about an hour. You can travel on the train all day for the price of one ticket. There are even opportunities to take a ride on a miniature railway and make use of a beautiful and tranquil picnic spot beside the river. Dogs are allowed to travel on the floor of the train. Round off your trip with a visit to the museum, well stocked shop, station building, signal box and the Gwili Tea Room. "The railways first arrived in Carmarthen in 1860 and can you imagine how people must have felt in those days. I suppose today it would be the equivalent of someone landing from the moon."
