Inflation target 5%, don't want rupee back at 45 level: RBI Governor to NDTV
In an exclusive interview to Prannoy Roy, Dr Raghuram Rajan says that RBI aims to bring down inflation to a level at which an ordinary person doesn't have to worry about every day. He said while RBI cannot control onion prices, some tough measures are needed to tackle inflation as it has spreads beyond food to services like healthcare, education and housing. Raghuram Rajan also told NDTV that he is not uncomfortable with current levels of 61-62 of the rupee, but insisted that he doesn't want the rupee to go back to 45 to the dollar levels. His message for the industry is to bear with central bank's decision to raise rates till inflation cools down. Community Wellness Day Randolph NJ http://www.randolphcwd.com/ In this video, Tim Ziakas of RBIS Baseball & Softball facility in Randolph, shares why he feels so passionate about Randolph New Jersey's 1st Annual Community Wellness Day. He tells you about what services his team will be sharing as well as what amazing gifts he will be contributing to the event. Make sure to stop by and tell Tim you saw him on his YouTube video. Dr. David Simon, is the director and co-owner of Randolph Pain Relief & Wellness Center in Randolph, NJ. He was selected as the proud host and coordinator of Randolph's Community Wellness Day to be held on May 3, 2014, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at The Randolph Middle School. The middle school and the Randolph Rotary club believe that this event is so important for families that they have asked to partner and collectivly co-host the event. Community Wellness Day is a national event focusing on educating all the members of our community concerning important information critical to the total wellness of all of our residents. We will be sharing an array of information on health, safety, environmental and financial well-ness, in addition to providing food, fun and entertainment. This event will be taking place in many cities nationwide during a 4 week period of the Spring of 2014. Proclamations have been issued by Randolph Mayor Jim Loveys,Senator Anthony Bucco, Assemblymen Anthony M. Bucco and Michael Patrick Carroll. We are so excited that our political leaders have recognized this as an important day in our community to empower people to take back responsibility for families' well-being. Local law enforcement personnel will be on hand to provide important ID information for children, families and seniors and the local fire department will also be providing fire prevention and safety information. Other programs being offered include: financial literacy; environmental awareness; health screenings, drug & alcohol awareness and much more. As you can see, there is information available for all ages of our community. Admission to this important community event is free of charge. We have selected the Randolph Middle School Wellness Initiative and Randolph Rotary as our special beneficiaries. It is important for leaders and citizens of our local communities to understand that the health care crisis is not going to be solved in Washington; it is going to be solved when we come together as a community and give people back the tools and skills they need to empower them to make better lifestyle choices. Dr. Simon and other concerned professionals, work very hard outside of their offices in our community to give people the tools they need to take back responsibility for their family's health and well-being. It is for this reason that he is so proud to be bringing this event to your town. But he cannot do it alone. We know that all of you value the future health and prosperity of our community as much as we do. Please support us as we engage in a cooperative effort that benefits the needs of the Randolph Community We am looking forward to seeing you at Randolph's Community Wellness Day. 18th Dec 2013:RB's monetary policy RBI keeps Repo rate, CRR unchanged Following are the highlights of RBI's mid-quarter review of monetary policy: * RBI keeps key policy rate, cash reserve ratio unchanged * Repo rate unchanged at 7.75 pc; cash reserve ratio unchanged at 4 pc * RBI to wait for more data before taking policy action * Outlook on global growth continues to remain moderate * Volatility in the financial markets could pick up following the inevitable taper of the quantitative easing in the US * Lacklustre indicators on services and subdued domestic consumption point at continuing headwinds to growth * Expenditure cuts by Govt will only add to the pressures on the growth front * Revival of stalled investments crucial for growth * High inflation numbers risks entrenching inflation expectations at unacceptably elevated levels * High and persistent inflation also increases the risks of exchange rate instability. * RBI expects inflation to be contained on vegetable prices going down sharply * Current inflation is high but its trajectory is uncertain and there is merit waiting for more data. * RBI to be vigilant and will act between scheduled policies if expected softening in food prices does not materialise.- published: 22 Dec 2013

(Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball's internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.
