Sports Illustrated is an American sports media franchise owned by media conglomerate Time Warner. Its self titled magazine has over 3.5 million subscribers and is read by 23 million adults each week, including over 18 million men. It was the first magazine with circulation over one million to win the National Magazine Award for General Excellence twice. Its swimsuit issue, which has been published since 1964, is now an annual publishing event that generates its own television shows, videos and calendars.
Two other magazines named Sports Illustrated were started in the 1920s and 1930s, but they both quickly failed. Following these events, there was no large-base general sports magazine with a national following. It was then that Time patriarch Henry Luce began considering whether his company should attempt to fill that gap. At the time, many believed sports was beneath the attention of serious journalism and did not think sports news could fill a weekly magazine, especially during the winter. A number of advisers to Luce, including Life magazine's Ernest Havemann, tried to kill the idea, but Luce, who was not a sports fan, decided the time was right.

Father thanks for playin' with my friends and me
I'm glad they got to meet the man I know
You always knew the words and taught me honesty
Picked me up when I was feeling low
If I could talk to you one more time
I know you'd work things out just like before
Where did I go wrong can you hear me sing this song?
Father I won't see you anymore
Mother dry your eyes why do you cry those tears?
You knew someday your baby'd be a man
Letting go is hard when it's for ever dear
I know it's late, but now I understand
If I could hold your hand one more time
And hear your lullabies just like before
I know that I did wrong, so I'm singing you this song
Mother, I won't see you anymore
Son, I wish you knew how much we're missin' you
I saw them cry their tears from up above
I try to tell them, but the words aren't getting through
I didn't mean to hurt the ones I love
Mother, Father, I hope to see you soon
And things will be just like they were before
I'm sending all my love, I'm watching from above
We don’t know what it’s like to not be free
Like when you’ve lost your sight you cannot see
That’s why one chance is nothing to lose
One chance for you to lose
Do you know what this song’s about? It’s just a love story
About a people just trying to break out solidarity
But to us, it’s just front page news
Yeah, to you, it’s just news, to you
They try to look but all there is red -- It’s a social state
Surrounded by the muscle heads to intimidate
But like a tree that’s dead, it’ll fall, though it’s tall
It’ll fall and that’ll be all
Their backs against the knife -- The military
If they lose, how they will spend their lives in obscurity
It’s just a love story
Will they die or are they dead?
With a hole through their heads
We don’t know what it’s like to not be free
Like when you’ve lost your sight you cannot see
That’s why one chance is nothing to lose
One chance for you to lose
It’s just a love story of solidarity [x2]
Never learned my lesson, is it wrong way?
What you doing to yourself boy?
If you play with fire they say you gotta pay
What you doing? What you doing?
But what can I do? They’re everywhere
Who you fooling but yourself, boy?
I just saw her standing there
Just show and tell me, baby
Show and tell me maybe
On your way to school do you get good grades?
What you doing for yourself, girl?
Is that where you learned to walk this way?
What you doing? What you doing?
If I don’t get you I know someone will
Who ya fooling but yourself, girl?
So go ask your mother if you can come out and
Just show and tell me, baby
Show and tell me maybe
You’re at a party
You got a girl in sight
You just wanna rock ‘n’ roll
You’re hoping she just might
All I want is a piece of her time
Don’t know her name, she don’t know mine
All I want is a piece of her time
I know what I want
You know they all need it too
I think I’ll take it
To have something to do
All I want is a piece of her time
Don’t know her name, she don’t know mine
All I want is a piece of her time
All I want is a piece of her time
Don’t know her name, she don’t know mine
All I want is a piece of her time
She’s the girl of the day
Just for awhile
Then I’ll be on my way
After she smiles
All I want is a piece of her time
Don’t know her name, she don’t know mine
All I want is a piece of her time
Piece of her time
Long hard trails underneath the Texas sun
Rode into the town I was lookin' for some action
Drier than a cactus, had my back against the wall
Suckin' down the hooch, when I heard the stranger yell, "Draw!"
Tried to do some talkin', but his hand was on his gun
I was quicker to the trigger, so now I'm on the run
(Chorus)
Cause I'm an outlaw, running like the rest
No one buys my story, that I shot in self-defense
Outlaw, runnin' from the pack
Baby here they come, yeah they're breathin' down my back
Hi-ho silver, now they're comin' after me
Gotta keep movin' or they'll hang me from an old tree
Tell my wife and kids I'll see them when I can
Gotta keep movin' I am a wanted man
Tried to do some talkin' but his gun was at my head
New Song!
What I say about how I feel
Just to make a difference
Goes to show how you act
What will come next?
I won’t tell you what to do
For someone else will
But I’ve got something to say
Look around and tell me what you see
Do you realize things ain’t what they used to be?
I’ve filled my head with problems
I’ve messed my mind with problems that I care about
Once over
New Song
What I say about how I feel - New Song
Just to make a difference - New Song
New Song
Standin' at the station suitcase in my hand
Left that cheatin' woman layin' with another man
But that's okay... I never loved her anyway
If that's the way you want it babe
I never loved you anyway
Drink up all my whiskey
And I pick you up when you fall down on the floor
Takin' all my money
Then I find your ass headed towards the door
If that's the way you want it girl
I never loved you anyway
Baby listen to what I say
If that's the way you want it babe
I never loved you anyway
Standin' at the station starin' down the track
Left that cheatin' woman with my footprint on her back
But that's okay... I never loved her anyway
If that's the way you want it babe
I never loved you anyway
Waved goodbye to a friend of mine
I guess its time as the sun shines through the dawn
Another night is gone
Seems like days since I saw her face
In her place no trace of yesterday
Yeah but that's okay
If she never comes back it'll be too soon
I'm doin' just fine just me
And the man in the moon
Well all in all it ain't a bad change
I like it alone 'cause no one ever complains
I don't confuse the names
I heard about love is blind
Well I found lying times and true deceit
The way she uses me
The air so think it feels like June
I'm doin' fine just me
And the man in the moon
If she never comes back, it'll be too soon
I'm singin' my song to the man in the moon
Once in a while you can catch me smile
With time to burn I turn the music on
I play my favorite song
All in all it ain't a bad change
I like it alone 'cause no one ever complains
I don't confuse the names
I remember her face when I hear that tune
I'm doin' fine just me
Look at the scenes; it seems another world, so far away
Then the page is turned
As you look away
To suburban days
Where we live, so laissez-faire
I’m not talking about a foreign land
It’s in front of your eyes
Do you know what it’s like to have not
Just to try to survive?
But it’s just another song
While we live, so laissez-faire
Why is it always
I’ve got my corner of the world
You’ve got your own
You live, you let live
Got nothing to give
Who knows her, laissez-faire?
Who cares?
You can’t deny
For I know I‘ve been guilty, too
Every day that we just seem to see it through
But at least I’m aware
That we live
So laissez-faire
In for the slaughter
I’m coming in for the kill
Asking all those questions
I should have known it was just a phase
They want to judge me
Too afraid to judge themselves
Too afraid to look inside
Too afraid to swallow their pride
It’s so sad, don’t you know that it’s true
Believe in what you’re living, that’s what you got to do
And you reap what you sow and so shall you reap
And sow your soul will grow
How can you touch me when all you really know is my name?
It doesn’t matter when you try to make the blame
And when you’re wrong then you want to make amends
You say let’s return as friends
I thought we always were
It’s so sad, don’t you know that it’s true
Believe in what you’re living, that’s what you got to do
And you reap what you sow and so shall you reap
It’s time to do the whoas
You want to judge me? [x3]
It’s so sad, don’t you know that it’s true
Believe in what you’re living, that’s what you got to do
And you reap what you sow and so shall you reap
It’s time to do the whoa…
No, they won’t let me go there no more
It’s bad habits left at the door
Face to face, though ignored, that frighten me
Influenced to ignorance
You influenced to ignorance
Influence
Influence
That makes sense for you
You that accused
Of second thoughts just used
That impel me to pursue
The old ways that always stay
A thought occurred to me
From what I thought to be
I looked around and saw the sound
But like the dark it surrounded me
Unaware of the stare
That my mind held to see
Influenced to ignorance
Looking down
And on the ground
But it makes a nice home
For my friends and me
I’m on my way
So please don’t bother me
Can’t you see that I’m much too busy?
And a glance is as close as I will get to you
Too you [x3]
I look when you walk [x2]
I look when you walk by
See my crown
King I’ve found
And I got a grate for a throne
That you can share with me
Clean up town
So no-one else will see
A service drone in the name of pity
To keep the streets nice and clean for the public to view
And it’s all for you
For you
I look when you walk [x2]
I look when you walk by
I look when you walk [x2]
I look when you walk by
[x4]
To see if you’re looking
Woke early this morning at the crack of dawn
Wiped the clouds from my eyes
Couldn't sleep a wink cause the things you said
Were hangin' heavy on my mind
You turn and walk away when I've got talkin' to do
You think you know it all well I got news for you
You can be the branch I'll be the tree
You give me your advice then tell me it ain't free
You belive in you now baby I'll believe in me
Never had a doubt 'till you come my way
Now I'm feelin' borrowed and blue
Wouldn't know your ass from a hole in the ground
You could learn a thing or two
You tell me that you're right, when I know that I am
You bend the rules, just to break them time and again
You can be the candle, I'll always be the flame
Don't tell me that I can't, didn't ask you if I can
You believe in you now baby I'll believe in me
You turn and walk away when I got talkin' to do
Hey, there goes the girl
Whose hair looks like it’s always slept on
Miss designer jeans, there come on
You know the type, the type of girl
That makes you feel right at home
And a phone and at home
Although you know she has never known
Talk about hi gene
Hygiene [x3]
Invalid entry
She’s all the life
Everybody’s party
You hear all the talk
The stories that everyone just denies
But then why do they turn their heads?
When she walks on by?
Talk about hi gene
Hygiene [x3]
Talk about hi gene
Hygiene
She makes the world go ‘round and ‘round
She makes the world go up and down
I look in mirrors
I look in your eyes
I’m looking for answers
I still don’t understand
Why is it every time I see you, I can’t help myself
There is something inside me that draws my stares on you
I know you don’t care for me but I won’t face the truth
An impulse, instinct, reaction to what you think
And your life’s an instant
Like what you just thought
No matter what you say
But it’s too late to stop
Human behavior [x4]
An impulse, instinct, reaction behavior
An impulse, instinct, reaction behavior
An impulse, instinct, reaction behavior
Behavior [x5]
I sniff glue just like you
That’s all I live to do
I always like to destroy my brain
Because I like the sense of pain
Glue sniff rot my brain
Glue sniff fucked my head
You fucked up your head
What about me?
Don’t you know you might as well bag it?
Glue sniff
Glue sniff
Glue sniff - Feel the pain
Glue sniff - Rot your brain
Glue sniff rot my brain
I fucked up my head
What about me?
Don’t you know you might as well bag it?
Now come on listen honey
I'm talkin' to you
Just need an answer
Tell me what ya wanna do
Now relax and take it easy
Stop all your jive
Don't leave me hangin'
Baby let me come inside
She's such a teaser the way she walks
I follow right behind
I wanna push push push it in ya honey
You burn me up inside
Give it up why don't ya give it up
Don't give me reasons honey won't you
Live it up (X2)
You got me tongue-tied baby and you're lookin' amused
Give me a signal tell me that you want me to
You got me rock hard honey, from your straddlin' smile
Don't keep me waitin', baby I don't like that style
She's still the teaser, the way she talks
It hooks me everytime
I wanna push push push it in you honey
Oh God she blows my mind
Give it up, why don't ya give it up
Don't give me reasons, honey won't you
Live it up
Give it up, why don't ya give it up
Don't think about it, baby won't you live it up
She's such a teaser, the way she walks
I follow right behind
I wanna push push push it in ya honey
Look at me, I look at you
What the fuck you gonna do?
I feel boxed in, well, I just wanna fight
Through the problems in the night
Fight (for what you think is right)
Hey, all ye crunchcloths, we all say
Fight for the united way
Fight together, fight as one
Fight forever till we’ve won
Fight (for what you think is right)
To unite
I’m walking down the street just a-minding my own
In a strange town, a thousand miles from home
When I’m searched by the man, and he says to me
That “I am the law” and that’s the way it’s gonna be
It’s called American justice
But we know the truth
It’s called American justice
But what can we do?
No matter what’s the truth, they’re gonna put you away
Push you around, no matter just what you say
It’s them against you, but you’re not just alone
Even though it seems your only friend is the telephone
And it’s called American justice
But we know the truth
It’s called American justice
But what can we do?
They’re never wrong, only mistaken
It don’t replace your rights that have been taken
They throw the book away, you’ve been forsaken
For American justice has just been faking
If you got no money then you’re just out of luck
‘Cause the lawyers and legal aid, they just don’t give a fuck
That’s why the jails are full of the poor and black
And once they get out, you know they end up just going back
It’s called American justice
But we know the truth
It’s called American justice
But what can we do?
Yeah, what can we do about American Justice?
Do you care to take a stand?
Try, try, try to understand
Should we want to remain the same?
Or do you want to see a change?
Should we want to lend a hand?
Find ourselves in other lands?
Or stand outside the door,
For it’s harder to look than ignore - new
What’s old is new, around you, what’s new?
It’s time to take a stand -- Are you there?
Or if you see a change now will you stare?
If I ask you to use your mind, do you dare?
Or will you just lean up against a wall
Cause you’re scared if you stand you might fall?
Listen to what we got to say
Here are the screams of today
We’re not telling you what to do
We’re just asking questions of you
For we want to know just where you stand
Try to understand
For we are here to take a stand
To stand on the brink of something new
What you think and what you do
Are just what we are questioning you
Can you see the missing link?
Through apathetic attitudes
What you feel and what you seek
Work a day, work a week
No, go happy lives
Day to day, are you satisfied?
Listen to what we got to say
Here are the screams of today
We’re not telling you what to do
We’re just asking questions of you
Lies! Lies! [x2]
Did you hear the news today?
We want the truth
Can you read between the lines?
We want the truth
Are you shown the way?
We want the truth
Believe what I say?
It’s the end of the world
Well, would you even believe that?
You’ve got to see straight
Take care before it’s late
Stop, stare, you are your fate
Be aware life’s a long wait
Falsehoods - cry wolf [x2]
Patience is a virtue they say
It’s easier to follow than to stay
But the truth hits like deadstops
Like the impact after a shot
Don’t deceive your second thoughts
It came without a warning
No one just knew
Except the ones who were doing it to you
Looked all around
It came without a sound
Was no reason, no time
No warning, not a sign
It came without a warning [x4]
It came from beyond
When they dropped the bomb
You were watching the Brady Bunch
While your brain was out to lunch
Fast food fed on Captain Krunch
Drowned in atomic punch
Gone in an eternal munch
You didn’t even have a hunch
It came without a warning [x4]
Came without a warning [x3]
Came without a warning [x3]
I stepped up to get stepped on
I stopped to see it that day
When the sun went down on our holiday
And there’s pictures though that confirm the surprise that’s realized
When beneath the paint
You see it’s all love/hate
Ain’t it funny how you feel lost
Even though you found your way back home
Taste’s so bittersweet, it’s just the cost
Of being everyone’s stepping, stepping stone
Bet you never thought [x4]
Ain’t it funny how you feel lost
Even though you found your way back home
And taste so bittersweet, it’s just the cost
Of being everyone’s stepping, stepping stone
I’m not your stepping stone
I’ve got a hole in my back [x10]
Looking through the headlines
Sheltered from what’s real
There’s a heat in the street
That you can’t feel
You think we got the great society
The cities will snap before they bury me
Bedlam in the streets of the USA
Oh, you’re stabbed in the back, have a nice day
Social disintegration is paving the way
The next generation, just like yesterday
And you can watch it on tonight’s news
The youth of the streets got nothing to lose
Bedlam in the streets of the USA
Oh, you’re stabbed in the back, have a nice day
They’ve got no hope so they got no fear
Smashed in heads, don’t shed a tear
The tension is mounting and the time is near
Bedlam in the streets of the USA
Oh, you’re stabbed in the back, have a nice day
Looking through the headlines
You’re sheltered from what’s real
There’s a heat in the street
That you can’t feel
Bedlam in the streets of the USA
Oh, you’re stabbed in the back, have a nice day
They’ve got no hope so they got no fear
Smashed in heads, don’t shed a tear
It’s plain to see the other side
Just as it’s easy for you to start a fight
One person is limited to what he can say
But if we stand, stand together today
We amerarockers
You amerarockers
I amerarockers
We must look to the other side
So we can tell what’s wrong from what is right
To solve our problems here’s the one thing we can do
You dance with me and I’ll dance with you
We amerarockers
You amerarockers
I amerarockers
And when I look around
I see all wearing frowns
I know H.R. would say this is a real shame
Why must it always be you cannot see
Why don’t you stand up and rock with me
We must look to the other side
So we can tell…
To solve our problems here’s the one thing we can do
You dance with me and I’ll dance with you
With you
We amerarockers
You amerarockers
Wake up in the morning
Put on my shoes
Wipe off that frown
And rid these suburban blues
I make up my mind
Define my ideas
Tired of going backward
These past few years
I look in the mirror
But I can’t see
Got to figure out
What I’m supposed to be
I’ve got things to do today - things to do today
Wasted time don’t pay when you got things to do today
Maybe I’ll say hello
As I’m walking by
Try to get my goodbyes in
Before it’s time to die
Time to count my change
What’s the difference?
Now, there ain’t no hanging around
Got to make sense
I’ve got things to do today - things to do today
There is no war - just death
And we’ll blow ourselves up till there’s nothing left
‘Cept the reason we’re told to accept
There is no war - just death
This is no Greyhound Bus line
And I’m about to blow my mind
There is no war - just death
The zoo closes [x4]
Don’t be surprised when death is thrown in your eyes
Too late to realize
There is no war - just death
And we’ll blow ourselves up till there’s nothing left
‘Cept the reason we’re told to accept
There is no war - just death
This is no Greyhound Bus line
And I’m about to blow my mind
There is no war - just death
The zoo closes [x4]
There is no war - just death
And we’ll blow ourselves up till there’s nothing left
‘Cept the reason we’re told to accept
There is no war - just death
This is no Greyhound Bus line
And I’m about to blow my mind
What I say is what I say
And what I do is what I do
What I want I want today
Right now I just want to get through to you
Might make you happy, might make you sad
By telling you things that make you mad
We may fall, but we will grab
All the thoughts we thought we never had
Still screaming
Your eyes to the ground
Your head’s in a splay
Once you feel the pain it won’t go away
You can’t leave it - just reave it - believe
What we believe is what we believe
And if you compromise you’re still just deceived
Your life’s a life and one life can be reaved
But what you feel, it can never be seized
And now
I’m still screaming
Might make you happy, might make you sad
By telling you things that make you mad
We may fall, but we will grab
All the thoughts, the thoughts we never had
No money down
Blue about the green
I got none seen
A no money down
Know in time there’s a rainbow to find
A no money down
Money makes the world go down
Empty pockets to fill
What about that bill?
A no money down
Know in time there’s a rainbow to find
A no money down
No money down [x2]
I’m up and down
Don’t want to go to your battleground
To find your enemy and shoot ‘em down
Don’t want no part of your wars
Don’t want to hear that silent sound
Dead bodies on the ground
Don’t want no part of your wars
Your ads are just a disguise
Don’t tell me no lies
Come home, shot between the eyes
Don’t you know, it’s the old sensation
Dog tag identification
Don’t want no part of your registration
To prepare me for the surprise attack
Just die for Ole Big Mac
Now whose turn is to go to bat?
Your ads are just a disguise
Don’t tell me no lies
Come home shot between the eyes
Uncle Sam wants you
The army, the navy, the marines, the air force
1014 is a number like you and me
Mr. Everyday, passerby
He’s, he’s a killer
He grabs his thoughts
He packs his gun
Takes his knife along
Oh, it’s just for fun
He’s, he’s a killer
They say he’s insane
Who is to blame?
Don’t look behind you
It makes me wonder why…
He’s your next-door neighbor
The one you never knew
Who’s thinking what you never thought
Is your number up?
He’ll follow
Through the night
With his eyes
He’s a killer
Why is his mind [x3]
Not just like mine?
1014 is a number like you and me
Mr. Everyday, passerby
Went to your house baby they said you weren't home
I asked if you could call me then waited by the phone
I don't like this feelin' think I'm slowly losin' my mind
Girl I heard the rumors you found somebody new
When I heard you had a new love broke my heart in two
Honey let me hold you tell you what you mean to me
I don't wanna lose ya I'm waitin' here so patiently
You are all I need girl you are the world to me
You'll break my heart in two if you found somebody new
You are all I need
My friends tell me I'm crazy, you're just a waste of time
But a love like ours is special, you're always on my mind
Do I wanna hear the answer to the question that is
Burnin' in me... Oooooooh
Why can't I just hold you, and look into your eyes
Wrap your arms around me, make love to me tonight
Give me one more chance girl to show you
Who knows?
Who cares?
Why bother?
Break through today
Do what you say
Gotta make a way
See through me
Don’t hide alone
In the unknown
Life’s got to be worth the time
See through mine
Or just put me away
Just throw it away
For then it’s just no use
And there’s no use for you
Who knows?
Who cares?
Why bother?
We dare
Break through today
Do what you say
Gotta make a way
See through me
Don’t hide alone
In the unknown
Who knows?
Who cares?
Why bother?
We dare
Facing corners of what to do
Oh, say can you see
Through intellectual poverty
At your suburban luxuries
From slimy sea to sea
You - your negative attitudes don’t surprise
You - you hide behind a price tag disguise
You - you don’t even realize
That all the change we talk you deny
America’s youth career extermination
U. Suck A.
No use in trying to find my generation
U. Suck A.
Old glories, you know they make good stories
But the 80’s gave begun in the Amera-kingdom
You - you’re there to utilize
You - your numbers are easy to organize
You - you don’t even fucking recognize
That all the change we talk you deny
We’re from the basement
We’re from underground
We want to break all barriers with our sound
We’re sick and tired of being rejected
But we’re not down, ‘cause we got a direction
Feel boxed in
We feel boxed out
Can’t waste no time
We got to break out
I want to scream
I want to shout
We’re fed up
We’ve had it
We’re from the suburbs
From the streets
From the sixties
You gotta move your feet
We’re sick and tired of being rejected
But we’re not down, ‘cause we got a direction
Feel boxed in
Feel boxed out
Can’t waste no time
We got to break out
I want to scream
I want to shout
We’re fed up
It’s a bash, one big party
It’s all up front
Where you should be
It’s a total mash
Let me reach out and grab your heart
There’s no reason for you to stand apart
Prefab notions that hold your motions back
Cuts off your head, and tells you how to act
It’s a feeling
It’s why we’re a band
It’s just some fun
Some don’t understand
It’s a bash, one big party
It’s all up front
Where you should be
It’s a total mash
It’s a feeling
It’s why we’re a band
It’s just some fun
Some don’t understand
Let me reach out and grab your heart
Yesterday, it rained so hard I thought the roof was gonna give
But now today’s so bright, just want to let it all in
And I did it on my own and I know who my real friends were
But there’s no one to blame when it’s all a game
You know what the rules are
From here on out it’s this side up!
It’s shuffled steps and shuffled decks and how they both fall
For me a taste at first and then always the pain that sooths
And it hit me and hit me and hit me, I never even cared at all
For what’s not remembered, though others did see
There was no memory for me
From here on out it’s this side up! [x2]
From here on out it’s this side up! [x4]
Yeah, oh boy, it feels like I got a new lease on life
I’ve opened a door as I opened my eyes, pulled out that knife
And it’s so different here, my head is clear and in a new frame
But I can’t forget my regrets, though there is no shame
For others it’s simply not the same
From here on out it’s this side up! [x2]

The medicine wheel is home and pasture
Goes by ecological disaster
Could have been lovers but the facts remain
There's a right wing palace in a sick terrain
One end burns, one end freezes
The unlearned hold on to neither
The bows expand and the bow regress
When the answer comes before the lesson
Oh, what a day, what a day it is
Yeah, it's a fine day... fine day
For a valedictory
Something simple, yeah
All the brave men say...
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey!
Serpent's tale is long and sweet
She is, I am what we eat
The path we walk is not so straight
And there is no end to the figure 8
What a day, what a day it is
Yeah, it's a fine day... fine day...
For a valedictory
Something simple, yeah
All the brave men say...
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey! Yeah!
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey! Yeah!
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey! Yeah!
Ho Ka Hey!
Ho Ka Hey!
Oh Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Yeah!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Hey!
Entered city in from a sleigh
Vander's little baby voice hits the horses
Only he they obey
Left him alone, so he thought
In his nakedness with the choice of
One in seven fires best to suit his needs
There is a hood, it catches the wind
It's up in the tower that lets in the light
And bellows the fire
The city's tight, but it loosens
It's small but not for long
The city's growing crooked
The city bleeds!
Bleeds!
It's rosy veins to empty streets
Bleeds!
Bleeds! Nine gates seal in the city
Nine gates seal in the city
Mix the reaction and the boil and the brew
A little less sweet, more bitter
Oh, how bad tastes linger
As the howl to the hound, as the moan to the man
The voice in the peripheral says...
Bleed!
Bleed!
The rosy veins, to empty streets
Bleed!
Bleed!
The rosy veins, to empty streets
Nine gates seal in the city
Nine gates seal in the city
What do you do, do you do
When nothing amuses you
Trade your fear for boredom
Nothing like a trip to fix
A mind that's sick of banging on the walls until they...
Bleed!
Bleed!
Rosy veins to empty streets
They Bleed!
Bleed!
Rosy veins to empty streets
Nine gates seal in the city
Nine gates seal in the city
The weight of the moment so heavy in your hands
They read what it says... isn't that what you want?
The skin of the night is cover for the changing.
Yeah, they resent you for your changing...
And now you are one of us
Join the immortal weeping
Now you are a part of the human condition
Passion leads into the sea shaped like a smile
And still I wouldn't make that trade any day
And you open yourself up to become an erotic star
They love you, they fucked you 'til they hate you
And now you are one of us
Join the immortal weeping
Now you are a part of the human condition
Hear what you are... you are the last to know
They both told me I was secretly bound
Your tragedy make for the greatest stories told
Now listen and laugh, cry... laugh, cry
And now you are one of us
Join the immortal weeping
Now you are a part of the human condition
Diminish the full
Replenish the humble
Diminish the full
Replenish the humble
Diminish the full
Xiola!
Follows the colors in my arm
She stays calm
Xiola!
Hits me as she braids my brain
With acid rain
But wouldn't you know
You can never go backwards again, no
Doomed are the maudlin
To know how it feels
Having felt that way too
Doomed are the maudlin
To know what she needs
I needed it, too
Xiola!
Pure are the lips that seal the abyss
She is bottomless
Xiola!
Most turn, yet I command
This'll be the end
But wouldn't you know
You can never go backwards again, no
Doomed are the maudlin
To know how it feels
Having felt that way too
Doomed are the maudlin
To know what she needs
I needed it, too
Xiola...
Xiola...
Xiola...
Xiola...
Lies and desire
And the fuel to humble fires
Considering the end, where the winds begin
And I see the way we're lost among the episodes
They cannot see the whole or the passing role
Where the winds begin
We pass away the time in memorial
Yea for the ride upon the manic carousel
Meanings turn to one and become...
The ease of despair
Momentary is the breath
We are merely under water, suffocating there
The time speeds beyond the shadows
Wheezing this alone
I find the peace knowing even this is passing by
Where the winds begin
We pass away the time in memorial
Yea for the ride upon the manic carousel
Three into two to one and become or you'll...
All fall down...
All fall down...
All fall down...
All fall down...
We all fall down...
We all fall down...
We all fall down...
We all fall down...
Where the winds begin
We pass away the time in memorial
Yea for the ride upon the manic carousel
Three into two to one and become...
Shut up!
Shut up!
Shut up!
Shut up!
Oh shut up
You shut up!
You shut up!
You shut up!
You shut up!
You shut up!
Shut up!
Ashes...
Ashes...
Ashes...
Ashes...

Hush little child don?t you cry,
Let me sing you my lullaby
I promise this is not the end,
Come and see my only friend.

You don't even know me,
So you cannot Judge me,
I will settle for peace inside.

I'm not ready,
Don't let me die here!

Don't follow me,
I am not someone to trust.

What you gonna make me do,
The demons you release inside my head,
I find safety in my be.
(Safety) Save me from life again,
(Sleeping) you are my only friend,
(Darkness) Engulfs the light again,
(Fear of) reaching my end.

Don't you wanna see,

Come and rescue me.

You make me feel like this,
What I try to do.
Chorus
I live in fear of you,
What you gonna make me do,
The demons you release inside my head,
