Levi Strauss & Co. ( /ˌliːvaɪ ˈstrɔːs/), also known as LS&CO or simply Levi's, is a privately held American clothing company known worldwide for its Levi's brand of denim jeans. It was founded in 1853 when Levi Strauss came from Buttenheim, Bavaria, to San Francisco, California to open a west coast branch of his brothers' New York dry goods business. In 1873 Levi Strauss and tailor Jacob Davis received a U.S. patent to make the first riveted men's work pants out of denim: the first blue jeans. The company briefly experimented (in the 1970s) with a public stock listing, but remains owned and controlled by descendants and relatives of Levi Strauss's four nephews. The company's corporate headquarters is located at Levi's Plaza in San Francisco.

Shawn Yue (born 13 November 1981) is a Hong Kong actor and singer. A former model, he has starred in many films such as Jiang Hu and Infernal Affairs II and has established himself as a recognized face in Hong Kong cinema.

Branded as the next "Nicholas Tse", Yue was born and raised in Hong Kong, with roots in Taishan, Guangdong. He has a dog and a gold fish. Spotted at an early age on the streets of Hong Kong by agents of the famous Hong Kong modelling agency Starz People and began his modelling on a part time basis. Once he graduated from Form 6, he immediately endulged into full-time modeling. He has since modeled for Giordano, Sony, Timberland, Gillette, Meko and is currently a spokesmodel for Shiseido Pureness and Coca-Cola China.

Being a full time model for several years, Yue turned his career and headed for the HK entertainment industry. From there, he starred in several movies and gained fame from his first role in Leaving Sorrowly (2001). 2005 was also a great year for Yue who portrayed Takeshi Nakazato in the film Initial D. According to the latest media release, Yue only appeared for less than half an hour in the film. However, despite the short appearance, his portrayal of Nakazato managed to leave a deep impression and impact on a lot of the viewers’ hearts, especially in Japan, where this has resulted directly in many new Japanese fans in Yue and a new lucrative market has been opened for Yue to conquer. Yet already being quite successful, Yue has also released four albums, the first being in 2002. He even advertised with Japanese music superstar Ayumi Hamasaki recently, and starred with her in her two PVs, "GLITTER" and "FATED", which are actually part of the short film Distance Love.

Michel Gondry (born May 8, 1963 in Versailles, France) is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker, whose works include being a commercial director, music video director, and a screenwriter. He is noted for his inventive visual style and manipulation of mise en scène.^{[citation needed]}

Gondry was born in Versailles, France. He is the grandson of inventor Constant Martin. He has a teenage son named Paul, who is also an artist.

Gondry's vision and career began with his emphasis on emotion, according to Gondry himself in an interview for The Film That Changed My Life by journalist Robert K. Elder. Much of his inspiration, he says, came from the film Le voyage en ballon.

His career as a filmmaker began with creating music videos for the French rock band Oui Oui, in which he also served as a drummer. The style of his videos for Oui Oui caught the attention of music artist Björk, who asked him to direct the video for her song "Human Behaviour". The collaboration proved long-lasting, with Gondry directing a total of seven music videos for Björk. Other artists who have collaborated with Gondry on more than one occasion include Daft Punk, The White Stripes, The Chemical Brothers, The Vines, Steriogram, Radiohead, and Beck. Gondry has also created numerous television commercials. He pioneered the "bullet time" technique later adapted in The Matrix,^{[citation needed]} in a 1998 commercial for Smirnoff vodka, as well as directing a trio of inventive holiday-themed advertisements for clothing retailer Gap, Incorporated.
