It's a view from 22 stories high that makes Stamford's Heights and Lights a holiday staple. Sunday, New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman will rappel down the building with Sacred Heart Athletic Director Bobby Valentine, and Fox News Meteorologist Rick Reichmuth for Stamford's annual Heights and Lights show. "I think it's awesome that these guys are lending their names and their times and their efforts to help produce a show for Stamford and also to shine a spotlight on this great city," said Cashman. They'll join Santa, Rudolph, the Grinch and Santa's Elf to ring in holiday cheer, as they descend almost 300 feet. "When you come down and you start cheering them, you forget you're 22 stories up in the air," said Jason Teitelbaum, who's played the Grinch for four years. "You can hear the happiness that's taking place. Especially when Santa and Rudolph come over -- those guys are spectacular, they're pros," said Cashman. "When you come down you see all the kids and everyone's cheering. For me, they're booing me, but it's still a lot of fun just hearing all the kids and seeing everyone out," said Teitelbaum. Heights and Lights, presented by the Stamford Downtown Special Services District and Reckson Associates, will take place Sunday Dec. 8 at 5 pm at Landmark Square.
