Third Watch is an American crime drama series which first aired on NBC from 1999 to 2005 for a total of 132 episodes, broadcast in 6 seasons of 22 episodes each.
The show was set and filmed in New York City, and with an ensemble cast of characters the storylines centered on the lives of police officers of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the firefighters and paramedics of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), all working the same fictional precinct during the 3pm to 11pm shift - the 'Third Watch'.
After the September 11 terrorist attacks hit New York in 2001, season 3 opened with the award-winning October 15, 2001, episode "In Their Own Words", featuring interviews with real-life NYPD and FDNY members who responded to the attacks. The following episode was titled "September Tenth".
In the series finale, "Goodbye to Camelot", broadcast on May 6, 2005, the third watch is disbanded after a grenade attack burned down the police station.
The series followed the exploits of a group of police officers, firefighters, and paramedics in the fictional 55th Precinct and Fire Station 55 whose shifts fell between 3 pm and 11 pm, the "third watch." The precinct and fire station were located on the corner of King Blvd and Arthur St.; hence the nickname "Camelot." Exterior shots of the 55th Precinct and the Firehouse were filmed in Long Island City, Queens. Third Watch succeeded in presenting all three branches of New York City's emergency services in the same show, reviving a failed attempt to do so nine years prior with the similarly themed H.E.L.P. running for only a single season in 1990.
The word asshole, a variant of arsehole, which is still prevalent in British and Australian English, is a vulgar to describe the anus, often pejoratively used to refer to people.
The word arse in English derives from the Germanic root *arsaz, which originated from the Proto-Indo-European root *ors — meaning buttocks or backside. The combined form arsehole is first attested from 1500 in its literal use to refer to the anus. The metaphorical use of the word to refer to the worst place in a region, e.g., "the arsehole of the world") is first attested in print in 1865; the use to refer to a contemptible person is first attested in 1933. In the ninth chapter of his 1945 autobiography, Black Boy, Richard Wright quotes a snippet of verse that uses the term: "All these white folks dressed so fine / Their ass-holes smell just like mine ...". Its first appearance as an insult term in a newspaper indexed by Google News is in 1965. As with other vulgarities, these uses of the word may have been common in oral speech for some time before their first print appearances. By the 1970s, Hustler magazine featured people they did not like as "Asshole of the Month." In 1972, Jonathan Richman's Modern Lovers recorded his song "Pablo Picasso," which includes the line "Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole."
Ross Bolleter (born 1946, Subiaco, Western Australia) is an Australian avantgarde composer and improviser notable for his experimentation on ruined pianos. He has been a member of The Blackeyed Susans and he is a co-founder of the WARPS Music label.
Bolleter started his career by practicing improvised music with the flautist Tos Mahoney. He later went to study music, including theory, history and composition, at the University of Western Australia, between 1964 to 1967. This re-awoke his interest in the music of composers such as Anton Webern, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Pierre Boulez, whom he had studied as part of his course. He then went investigating non-conventional timbral and rhythmic possibilities of the prepared piano. In the last 10 years Bolleter has explored playing with ruined pianos, that is old pianos that have been found after having been left exposed to the action of time and weather, thus acquiring novel and unexpected musical possibilities.
Bolleter is primarily interested in improvisation, both as a solo player and in group work. Although he has composed some pieces formally, he feels little interest in having pieces recreated by other performers.
Liam John Neeson,OBE (born 7 June 1952) is an Irish actor who has been nominated for an Oscar, a BAFTA and three Golden Globe Awards. He has starred in a number of notable roles including Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List, Michael Collins in Michael Collins, Peyton Westlake in Darkman, Bryan Mills in Taken, Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars (the film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Alfred Kinsey in Kinsey, Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins, and the voice of Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia film series.
He starred in other notable films such as Excalibur, The Dead Pool, Nell, Rob Roy, Les Misérables, The Haunting, Love Actually, Kingdom of Heaven, Taken, Clash of the Titans, The A-Team, Unknown and The Grey, as well as smaller arthouse films (e.g. Deception, Breakfast on Pluto, Chloe). He was ranked at number 69 on Empire magazine's 100 greatest movie stars of all time in 1997.
He was born in Ballymena, County Antrim and educated at St Patrick's College (now St Patrick's, Dundonald), Ballymena Technical College and Queen's University Belfast. He moved to Dublin after university to further his acting career, joining the renowned Abbey Theatre. In the early 1990s, he moved again to the United States, where the wide acclaim for his performance in Schindler's List led to more high-profile work. He is widowed and lives in New York with his two sons.
James Edward Franco (born April 19, 1978) is an American actor. His first prominent role was a lead part on the short-lived cult hit television program Freaks and Geeks; he later achieved recognition for playing the titular character in the TV biographical film James Dean (2001), for which he was awarded a Golden Globe Award. He achieved international fame with his portrayals of Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.
Franco has won or been nominated for a number of awards. He has done both dramatic and comedic work in projects and has appeared in an eclectic range of films since the 2000s, ranging from period to contemporary pieces, and from major Hollywood productions to less publicized indie films, as well as fantasy films to biopics and soap operas. Other notable films include Pineapple Express, a 2008 stoner comedy that earned him his second Golden Globes nomination; the 2008 Harvey Milk-biopic Milk; and Danny Boyle's 2010 drama film 127 Hours, about real-life mountain climber Aron Ralston's struggle to free his hand from a boulder. His performance in 127 Hours earned him nominations for many high-profile awards, including the Academy Awards, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2011, he starred opposite Andy Serkis in Rupert Wyatt's successful science fiction film Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise. Since 2009, he has played a recurring role in the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital.
(feat. Grimm, Marilyn Rylander)
[First Verse (SPM):]
Another deadly ceremony,
In a sacred territory,
It was all done for the glory,
You bitches ain't got nothin' for me
O-G, from the H-I, double L, W, double O, D
Live the life of the lowly,
Movin' white ponies, still puttin' in work for the dead homies,
Show me the way out, stayin' ready for anything under the sun,
Under the moon, under the stars, God I'm lookin' for somewhere to run
Dumpin' my gun, as soon as I'm done,
Leavin' 'em numb, with one in his lung,
Livin' fast and dyin' young, always business never for fun
[Chorus (Marilyn Rylander):]
Tell me what it is
Tell me what you want
For your 3rd Wishhhhhhhh
This is your last wishhhhhhh
Tell me what it is
Tell me what you need
For your 3rd Wishhhhhhh
This is your last wishhhhhhh
[Second Verse (SPM):]
Bussin' our teflon, at the red dawn,
I ain't fuckin' with nothin', get stepped on
The purest, I'm the surest, playin' a tourist walkin' through Saigon,
Been a hustler servin' up big bricks,
And livin' my life to hit licks,
Trip on a G like me and see the beads of banana clips Trick
Stamina cannot be duplicated,
Bite on the dust, you get faded,
So many wannabe criminals up in the game of drug-related
Open up, open up your dopehouses
Turning you men into mouses
Saggin' my burgendy trousers,
Letting you know how the South is
[Chorus]
[Bridge One (Grimm & SPM):]
[phone rings]
[SPM:] 'Dopehouse Records'
[Grimm:] 'Say man Los, man it ain't go right man, I'ma tell you man, Lil' Drugs
dead man.'
[SPM:] 'What?'
[Grimm:] 'Yeah, he's dead man'
[SPM:] 'Fuck'
[Grimm:] 'And I got big Jon with me man, he got hit bad on the side, it don't
look good bro, it don't look good, he bleedin' bad. We can't go to the
hospital man, we ain't goin' to the hospital.'
[SPM:] 'Yeah'
[Grimm:] 'We headed straight to the Dopehouse. Call Doc, tell him we need him.'
[SPM:] 'Alright my nigga, are you sure about Lil' Drugs?'
[Grimm:] 'I'm sure man, he's gone baby, he's gone. We gotta get these
muthafuckas.'
[SPM:] 'Alright, hurry up.'
[ends phone conversation, SPM starts talking to himself]
[SPM:] 'Okay, this is it, I've wished for money, and I've wished for fame, but
what good is it, if I'm still stuck in this game? So, for my 3rd wish...I
just wish for all this shit to stop. Just please make it stop.'
[Third Verse (SPM):]
I'm back once again for revenge,
In an all-black bulletproof Benz,
How will I get 'em? It just depends,
Hook his ass up with all his dead friends,
Here ye, here ye, sincerely,
Why so many haters fear me?
Dearly departed, y'all started some shit, and struck but couldn't come near me
We're the odyssey, young prodigy, runnin' the top notch properties,
Where snitches get shot in they arteries, but gettin' nobody's apologies
Follow me how do we master the first jack?
Since the day I was born I was cursed Black,
H-Town's where I'm doin' my dirt at,
Robbin' you hoes on horseback
[Chorus]
I, I wish, I
Could be alone
With you for one last time
When I left I gave you back
My only symbol of our love
You promised me one thing
Please hold yourself to that
The things that I
Would say to you
Would spark
The flame that once
Burned so bright
My only symbol of our love
You promised me one thing
Please hold yourself to that
When I left I gave you back
My only symbol of our love
You promised me one thing
Seated under a tree, he's awaking slowly
Lost he doesn't remember anything
Who am I?
It seems that the wind's talking to him
And the breath resounds in his head
What is your third wish, master?
But what were my other wishes?
Your second one was to become
Who you were before your first wish
Lost he doesn't remember anything
So, I want to know who I am...
It seems that the wind's talking to him
Frozen in time the prophecy remains
Defting the ligth it`s terror will unveil
Deep down inside the valley of the dead
The red witch lurks looking for revenge
A hundred thousand s blood
Has been spilled this battle for the end
Burning inside the end of an age
The witch`s curse into eternal flames
Whith seprents riding trough endless pain
The legacy the whitch has left
A hundred thousand s blood
