WiserEarth serves the people who are transforming the world.

We do two things: we describe pathways of change in books and research reports, and we create tools for connecting the individuals, information, and organizations that create change.

Past programs include:

Wiser.org: The Social Networkf for Sustainability

Wiser.org was a global village for sharing and kinship-building that was launched on Earth Day 2007 and closed on Earth Day 2014. Wiser.org helped the global movement of people and organizations working toward social justice, indigenous rights, and environmental stewardship to connect, collaborate, share knowledge, and build alliances.

WiserLocal: Thinking Globally – Connecting Locally

WiserLocals are face to face gatherings organized voluntarily by Wiser.org members.  They focus on supporting collaborations across sectors working towards social and environmental change.  More at: blog.wiser.org/wiserlocal

WiserGiving: Making Smart Philanthropy Simple

WiserGiving offers valuable tools and advice that you can use to make informed philanthropy decisions. More at: www.wisergiving.org

Our upcoming program is Project Drawdown.

Drawdown_logo_white

Drawdown is a book, a database, a basis for curricula, a digital platform, and a movement. It defines and describes 117 impeccably researched, “state-of-the-shelf” technologies, both practical and social, that will reduce greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.

Drawdown delineates a path to carbon neutrality and reduction in the atmosphere using technologies that are already in place, and describes the beneficial financial and social impact they deliver over the next thirty years.

It is also a mirror held up to the world about what we are doing about greenhouse gases, with the underlying motto that- if it is happening, it is possible. Drawdown will arrive in the fall of 2015.
