But in our eyes, there still exist many exciting opportunities to collaborate and rethink how two parties should join forces. In our Denim Canvas project with Levi's®, we asked two partnering talents -- largely unknown to one another and without prior relationships -- to come up with reappropriations on some of Levi's® most iconic pieces such as the Trucker Jacket, the 501® jean and the Western Shirt. Each pair was given just one day without any prior planning to put together a unique concept and apply it as such on a Levi's® icon. U.S. Alteration founder Miggy found a keen interest in working with classic silhouettes through the creative lens of a domestic production story. Miggy has long been involved with the foundation of Los Angeles' De La Barracuda, and as such is an integral part of the local fashion and cultural scene. U.S. Alteration's pairing with Jay Palmer of Tangleblue brought together two visionaries setting out to provide a modern context to classic garb. San Francisco-based Tangleblue were a mainstay over the course of the month on the Levi's® Station to Station tour and provided an intimate look at reusing old scraps to create something imperfectly beautiful for the present day. For our second Denim Canvas project, Miggy and Jay took hand-woven fabrics from Tangleblue and integrated them with the ever-iconic 501, with a unique style and approach that reflects facets of both talents. Aligning with the desire to explore the relationship that exists between creativity and discovery through collaboration, under both modern and classical terms #MakeOurMark has find significant relevance with the Hypebeast x Levi's® Denim Canvas project. Plot
Nine beautiful Friends know how to enjoy lire, April, has the party house and they look for any reason to party. When Demin is the last to find out that her no good for nothing boyfriend Tyrone is still sleeping with his baby's momma. They have the reason. Plot
A day at a group home for troubled adolescents. Denim is the head counselor, involved somehow with Natalia, another counselor. During the day, we watch them and other staff deal with a boy who's getting into fights though he has only a week to go before his 18th birthday, a girl whose birthday it is, a foul-mouthed lad, and others. Denim uses music to calm one youth, orients a new staff member, sneaks a marijuana cigarette during a break, and by the day's end, talks to Natalia. Do any of us have it together?

Plot

Plot
After a young cop gets involved in his third shooting, he is recruited into a special police unit. He quickly learns that the unit is an assassination corps for hoodlums and they don't care who gets in the way. Saving the life of a child gets him a beating by the unit, which they call an initiation. When they raid a mobster's home and start killing hoods and call girls who just happens to be there, he draws a line when he finds one hiding in a closet. He then goes on the run with her with gangsters and the cops both in pursuit.

In the year Universal Century 0079, humans have colonized the area of space lying in between the Earth and the moon. However the ambitious Zabi family, rulers of the Duchy of Zeon (the grouping of colonies furthest from the earth) has sparked a war. Within the first week of this fratricidal conflict, one half of all humans have been decimated. The Duchy, within a month, has invaded and occupied half of the Earth's surface, thanks to the Duchy's ultimate weapon, 60-foot tall, heavily armed and highly maneuverable machines known as "Mobile Suits." The only thing that can save the Federal Forces of Earth is their top-secret "V" Project, based on the loyalist colony Side 7. The aim of the V Project was to build their Mobile Suits for the Federal Forces. As the film opens, Zeon attacks Side 7, sending its top ace, Char Aznable to stop the V Project. 15-year-old Amuro Ray, the son of the chief researcher to the V Project, is struggling to get his friends and neighbors to safety when he runs across an empty mobile suit. This is the Gundam, the sole remaining prototype mobile suit. Firing it up, Amuro becomes an ace almost immediately, killing two Zakus (the standard Zeon MS) with little effort. From there on in, Amuro is drafted into the Federal Forces as are other residents of the colony: Frau Bow, Amuro's neighbor and semi-girlfriend, Kai Shiden, a young photographer who would just as soon stay clear of combat, and Sayla Mass, a woman who seems to have an inordinate interest in Lt. Char Aznable. Their mission: escort the prototype battleship White Base and the Gundam within to the Federal Forces' HQ on Earth. Will they succeed?

Char Aznable. Their mission: escort the prototype battleship White Base and the Gundam within to the Federal Forces' HQ on Earth. Will they succeed?

In the fashion world, the idea of collaboration has been overused and recycled time and time again. But in our eyes, there still exist many exciting opportunities to collaborate and rethink how two parties should join forces. In our Denim Canvas project with Levi's®, we asked two partnering talents -- largely unknown to one another and without prior relationships -- to come up with reappropriations on some of Levi's® most iconic pieces such as the Trucker Jacket, the 501® jean and the Western Shirt. Each pair was given just one day without any prior planning to put together a unique concept and apply it as such on a Levi's® icon.
U.S. Alteration founder Miggy found a keen interest in working with classic silhouettes through the creative lens of a domestic production story. Miggy has long been involved with the foundation of Los Angeles' De La Barracuda, and as such is an integral part of the local fashion and cultural scene. U.S. Alteration's pairing with Jay Palmer of Tangleblue brought together two visionaries setting out to provide a modern context to classic garb. San Francisco-based Tangleblue were a mainstay over the course of the month on the Levi's® Station to Station tour and provided an intimate look at reusing old scraps to create something imperfectly beautiful for the present day. For our second Denim Canvas project, Miggy and Jay took hand-woven fabrics from Tangleblue and integrated them with the ever-iconic 501, with a unique style and approach that reflects facets of both talents.
Aligning with the desire to explore the relationship that exists between creativity and discovery through collaboration, under both modern and classical terms #MakeOurMark has find significant relevance with the Hypebeast x Levi's® Denim Canvas project.

Denim (which gets its name from the French city of Nîmes (de Nîmes)) is a rugged cotton twill textile, in which the weft passes under two (twi- "double") or more warp threads. This produces the familiar diagonal ribbing identifiable on the reverse of the fabric, which distinguishes denim from cotton duck. Denim has been in American usage since the late 18th century. The word comes from the name of a sturdy fabric called serge, originally made in Nîmes, France, by the André family. Originally called Serge de Nîmes, the name was soon shortened to denim. Denim was traditionally colored blue with indigo dye to make blue "jeans", though "jean" then denoted a different, lighter cotton textile; the contemporary use of jean comes from the French word for Genoa, Italy (Gênes), where the first denim trousers were made.
Dry or raw denim, as opposed to washed denim, is a denim fabric that is not washed after being dyed during its production. Over time, denim will generally fade, which is often considered desirable. During the process of wear, it is typical to see fading on areas that generally receive the most stress, which includes the upper thighs (whiskers), the ankles (stacks) and behind the knees (honey combs).

Julian Miles "Jools" Holland OBE, DL (born 24 January 1958) is an English pianist, bandleader, singer, composer, and television presenter. He was a founder of the band Squeeze (1974-1980 & 1985-1990) and his work has involved him with many artists including Sting, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, David Gilmour, Magazine and Bono.
Holland is a published author and appears on television shows besides his own and contributes to radio shows. In 2004, he collaborated with Tom Jones on an album of traditional R&B music. He currently hosts Later... with Jools Holland, a music-based show aired on BBC2, on which his annual show Hootenanny, is based.
His great grandfather came from Ireland.
Holland played as a session musician before finding fame, and his first studio session was with Wayne County & the Electric Chairs in 1976 on their track "F*ck Off."
Holland was a founding member of the British pop band Squeeze, formed in March 1974, in which he played keyboards until 1981 and helped the band to achieve millions of record sales, before pursuing his solo career.
