Imagawa Yoshimoto (今川 義元, 1519 – June 12, 1560) was one of the leading daimyo (feudal lords) in the Sengoku period Japan. Based in Suruga Province, he was one of the three daimyo that dominated the Tōkaidō region. He was one of the dominant daimyo in Japan for a time, until his death in 1560.
Yoshimoto was born in 1519, the third son of Imagawa Ujichika of the Imagawa clan-which claimed descent from Emperor Seiwa (850-880). {It was a branch of the Minamoto clan by the Ashikaga clan. As he was not the eldest son, he was ineligible to inherit the family headship directly from his father. As a result, the young boy was sent to a temple where his name was changed to Baigaku Shōhō (梅岳承芳) or Sengaku Shōhō (栴岳承芳). Unrest broke out when his older brother Ujiteru died suddenly in 1536. His elder half-brother, Genkō Etan (玄広恵探), tried to seize the heirship but the clan split into two factions. Yoshimoto's faction demanded that since Yoshimoto's mother was the consort of Ujichika, he was the rightful heir. Genkō Etan's faction demanded that since he was older, he was the rightful heir. Genkō Etan's mother was a concubine and a member of the Kushima family, but they were defeated and killed in the Hanagura Disturbance (花倉の乱, Hanagura-no-ran). Baigaku Shōhō changed his name to Yoshimoto at this point and succeeded the clan.
Samurai Warriors (戦国無双, Sengoku Musō, Sengoku Musou in Japan, lit. Unrivaled Warring States) is the first title in the series of hack and slash video games created by Koei's Omega Force team based loosely around the Sengoku ("Warring States") period of Japanese history and it is a sister series of the Dynasty Warriors series, released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2004. A port of this game called Samurai Warriors: State of War has been released for the PlayStation Portable, which includes additional multiplayer features.
In the basic gameplay of Samurai Warriors, the player takes the role of a single officer in battle and must fend off hordes of enemy soldiers and defeat the enemy commander. The player has at their disposal a range of combo attacks and crowd-clearing special moves known as Musou attacks. The variety of attacks available increase as the character increases in level and gains new weapons.
Musou attacks can only be performed when the character's Musou gauge has filled up, which does so gradually when the player inflicts or receives damage. Additionally, if the player is low on health or possess a special skill, they can use their special True Musou attack which causes elemental damage in addition to normal damage as well as adds on a trio of attacks that cleans up the final few enemies in the vicinity. One difference between Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors is the ability to perform free-style combo attacks during Musou attack mode, during which the game enters bullet-time; common soldiers move very slowly, however officers are unaffected. Other abilities that Samurai characters have over the Dynasty series include the ability to perform a roll to dodge attacks, and deflect incoming arrows with their weapon.
Imagawa clan (今川氏, Imagawa-uji) was a Japanese noble military clan that claimed descent from the Seiwa Genji by way of the Kawachi Genji. It was a branch of the Minamoto clan by the Ashikaga clan.
Ashikaga Kuniuji, grandson of Ashikaga Yoshiuji, established himself in the 13th century at Imagawa (Mikawa Province) and took its name.
Imagawa Norikuni (1295–1384) received from his cousin the shogun Ashikaga Takauji the province of Tōtōmi, and later that of Suruga.

After the death of Yoshimoto at the Battle of Okehazama in 1560, many Imagawa officers defected to other clans. Within a decade the clan had lost all of its land holdings to the Tokugawa and Takeda clans. The Imagawa subsequently became masters of ceremonies in the service of the Tokugawa clan.
Samurai Warriors 2 (戦国無双2, Sengoku Musō 2, Sengoku Musou 2 in Japan) is a sequel to the original Samurai Warriors, created by Koei and Omega Force. The game was released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360, and ported to Microsoft Windows in 2008. Like the Dynasty Warriors series, an Empires expansion was released as well, and an Xtreme Legends expansion followed on August 23, 2007 in Japan. The game, alongside its two expansions, Xtreme Legends and Empires also receive a HD-enhanced port for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita under the name Sengoku Musou 2 with Moushouden & Empires HD Version.
Samurai Warriors 3, the sequel to SW2 and the third game in the series was released in December 2009 for the Wii.
The gameplay of Samurai Warriors 2 builds on the first Samurai Warriors by adding new characters and new features, such as the removal of the traditional range attacks in favor of the addition of two unique special abilities that differ from character to character. For example, Oichi can either summon new soldiers to the battlefield or improve the combat abilities of nearby allies, Yukimura Sanada can either whistle to call his mount to his side or perform a flaming charge, and Ginchiyo Tachibana can either increase the strength of her weapon or summon lightning to stun nearby enemy soldiers. In addition, characters movesets can evolve in a larger variety as they level up, elaborating on either their combo, charge or special attacks, with the progression of each character being different from the next. This leads to the characters having 1 of 3 different button combos.
Warriors Orochi (無双OROCHI, Musō Orochi) is a beat 'em up video game for PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360, developed by Koei and Omega Force. It is a crossover of two of Koei's popular video game series, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors (specifically Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors 2) and the first title in the Warriors Orochi series.
The game was released on March 21, 2007 in Japan, September 18 in the United States, September 21 in Europe, September 27 in Australia and September 28 in New Zealand. The game came out for the Xbox 360 in Japan on September 13, and the UK version came out on the same date as the PlayStation 2 version in the United States. The game was ported to the PlayStation Portable, released in Japan on February 2008, March 25 in the US, and March 28 in the UK. A PC version was released in the US on March 25, 2008.
The fictional events of the game begin when the Serpent King Orochi created a rift in time and space. By creating a twisted new world and bringing together warriors from the Three Kingdoms era of China and the Warring States period of Japan (more than 1,000 years apart in history), Orochi wished to test the might of the warriors of these two eras.

I don't have much to say about it, really. It's kinda terrible, and kinda OK? Yoshimoto only has 2 skills to choose from, so it's not like he has much of a choice in anything. Light elemental is not exactly the greatest either. No real incentive to use an elemental weapon. What WAS surprising, since I haven't used him in a while, was how effective his Basara could be. Samurai Warriors 2 is the sequel to Samurai Warriors. The focus of this title goes beyond Nobunaga's reign and introduces Sekigahara. And it's basically the japanese version of Dynasty Warriors. Still a hack'n slash game with lots of different characters to choose from. You level up your character by defeating generals and officers to get exp, you may also learn new moves get more powerfull weapons. Discarding the branching storylines from the first title, Samurai Warriors 2 introduces "Dream Stages", which are proverbial "what if" situations that can be unlocked after completing a character's story. This means that failing or succeeding battle objectives no longer alter the characters' story. However, they continue to award players for fulfilling them and keep ally morale high. The ...
Character: Yoshimoto Imagawa Commander: Matsu Maeda General: Toshiie Maeada & Keiji Maeada Location: Shizugatake Mode: Hard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hmm, Yoshimoto must be feeling really brave to take on all three Maeada's without any assistance from his decoys.
One of Nobunaga's early rivals, and a great threat to the Oda, makes his first appearance. Though he's not exactly Shingen or Kenshin, Yoshimoto is definitely not the kemari-playing clown of Samurai Warriors...and he's already planning our downfall.

All Yoshimoto Imagawa events in Chronicle Mode. Don't ask me what's up with his voice in the last one. I have no idea. It just scares me.
What really happened in Okehazama :P DISCLAIMER: Not mine
requested character unlock. In order to unlock Imagawa you have to beat all the lead engineers before they can get into your fort. If they even take a single step inside your fort you will not be able to get Imagawa. The lead engineers will not come until a few minutes into the mission, When Shingen says "Implement the secret weapon" that is when they will star to appear. When they do start to appear you need to focus all your attention on killing them only. If you need to find where they are located just press start and look for them in the officers section. After the first 4 come they will star to come in pairs. There are 8 lead engineers altogether and you will get a confirmation when you beat them all. After that complete the mission and you will get Imagawa This mission ...
To unlock Yoshimoto you have to keep the engineers from reaching the village and that means all of them. There's 8 in total that come at you in two waves. So long as you have decent speed and don't focus too much time on officers you should be able to get them all in time.
