What I believe
- There is an alternative to austerity – and we can do this by returning social solidarity to the heart of EU policy
- and halting the slide towards a low-wage economy across Europe
- with access to quality public services, health and education, guaranteed as a right for all EU citizens
Message from Nessa
"Thank you for your support in the recent European elections! I am very grateful for your votes and confidence.
You have sent a strong signal that we must change the way we do politics, and I look forward to working with the rest of Ireland’s 11 MEPs – but truly, all of us will now have to fight tooth and nail to ensure that Ireland can properly emerge from the ghosts of austerity.
My priorities in the parliament will be to keep up the fight against the unjust bank debt burden imposed on the Irish people, and to continue my work in the areas of public health, environment and the need for greater transparency in decision making."
