UMH may refer to:
Miguel Hernández Gilabert (30 October 1910 – 28 March 1942) was a 20th-century Spanish language poet and playwright associated with the Generation of '27 movement and the Generation of '36 movement.
Hernández was born in Orihuela, in the Valencian Community, to a poor family and received little formal education; he published his first book of poetry at 23, and gained considerable fame before his death. He spent his childhood as a goatherd and farmhand, and was, for the most part, self-taught, although he did receive basic education from state schools and the Jesuits. He was introduced to literature by friend Ramon Sijé. As a youth, Hernández greatly admired the Spanish Baroque lyric poet Luis de Góngora, who was an influence in his early works. Shaped by both Golden Age writers such as Francisco de Quevedo and, like many Spanish poets of his era, by European vanguard movements, notably by surrealism, he joined a generation of socially conscious Spanish authors concerned with workers rights. Though Hernández employed novel images and concepts in his verses, he never abandoned classical, popular rhythms and rhymes. Member of the Communist Party of Spain, Hernández campaigned for the Republic during the Spanish Civil War, writing poetry and addressing troops deployed to the front.
The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH, Spanish: Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, Valencian: Universitat Miguel Hernández d'Elx, Latin: Universitas Miguel Hernández illicitana), is a Spanish Public University, open to the world, offering prestigious education, excellent research, and quality services facilitating the comprehensive development of its students and their insertion into the labor market. It is located in the province of Alicante and was established in 1996. Its name commemorates the Spanish poet Miguel Hernández.
The UMH offers Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s and PhD programs adapted to the European Higher Education Area in the fields of the arts, experimental and technical sciences, engineering, and health and social sciences at its four university campuses (Elche -main administration offices-, Altea, Orihuela and Sant Joan d'Alacant).
The UMH is particularly concerned about its students entering the labor market. Here, the University has excelled, achieving excellent results thanks to 6,000 businesses maintaining collaboration agreements with the University. Moreover, the UMH has been confirmed to be an academic institution committed to quality, as it was recently renewed with the European Seal of Excellence Gold level for the third time. The UMH is the only Spanish university to obtain this on three occasions.

Letting loose the lunatics wasn't the greatest of ideas
Giving them plans and money to squander
Should have been the worst of our fears
The dream life luxury living was a pleasant number 10 whim
But somewhere down the line of production
They left out human beings
They were gonna build communities
It was going to be pie in the sky
But the piss stench hallways and broken down lifts
Say the planners dream went wrong
If people were made to live in boxes
God would have given them string
To tie around their selves at bed time
And stop their dreams falling through the ceiling
And the public school boy computers
Keep spewing out our future
The house in the country designs the 14th floor
Old Mrs. Smith don't get out much more
Coitus interrupts 'cause of next doors rows
Your washing gets nicked when the lights go out
Baby's scream in the nightmare throng
