Bonnie back after weekend adventure

BONNIE is safe and well at home with her family in West Wodonga after a weekend adventure.

The 18-month-old Staffordshire cross, who went missing Friday afternoon, was almost hit by a car.

Her jacket and ID collar disappeared during her travels.

Things turned around after a kind stranger picked her up near Victory Lutheran College.

“We are over the moon to have her back,” owner Robyn West said.

“The man dropped her off at a friend’s place on the other side of Wodonga.

“He had another dog and they ran around together all weekend.”

Mrs West said the man took good care of her.

“He took her to the vet to see if she was microchipped and that’s how they found us,” she said.

“When my husband went around to pick her up, she was lying on the couch while in front of the television and a fireplace.”

The man who spent the weekend with Bonnie received a $500 reward that was offered for her return.
