A Braidwood mother and daughter-in-law have taken out the Albury Gold Cup Fashion on the Field’s top prizes in home made autumn-hued outfits.
Kerry McGlone, 52, made her and 18-year-old Courtney Doyle’s dresses and headpieces staying spot on trend with felt, leather and safari prints.
Ms Doyle was crowned Lady of the Day in a brown leather snake skin print fitted dress lined with faux fur teamed with a matching leather headpiece and gloves.
A mustard clutch and pair of Zoo pumps set off the look.

Mrs McGlone won best millinery in a burgundy felt headpiece with a black feather and gold spider brooch detail.
“That we’ve both won is so awesome and so cool,” Ms Doyle said.
“Kerry works so hard and is so deserving. I couldn’t ask for a better mother-in-law.”
After winning at many race meets when she was younger, Mrs McGlone turned her focus on designing and making outfits for her sons and daughter who have won all around Australia.
Her son Jack was last year’s Gentleman of the Day and her daughter Brittney Lady of the Day in 2010.
Ms Doyle also won Lady of the Day in a Mrs McGlone outfit last week at the Rosehill Gardens’ Ladies Day.
“It’s fabulous to win, because it’s not normally about me, it’s about them,” Mrs McGlone said.
“For her to win after I did, I didn’t think it was going to happen, to win two is amazing.”
Judge, Channel Nine presenter and Myer ambassador Lauren Phillips said Ms Doyle looked “sensational” from head to toe.
“She just looked so beautiful and confident — it was an outfit made perfectly for her,” she said.
“One of the trends we’re seeing this autumn/winter is leather, so the leather in the headpiece is one of the things that sealed the deal for us.
“Animal print and leather are two to the key things we were looking for and our winner ticked a couple of the boxes.”
Fellow judge, Melbourne milliner Brett Morley, said Mrs McGlone’s winter-feel felt hat had a wow factor that stood out.
“As soon as the hat comes out on the runway, it just speaks to you straight away and you know that’s the one,” he said.
Viviana Parish, 22, of Canberra, came runner-up Lady of the Day and was a millinery finalist in a cream wool blend dress and headpiece she made from a Vouge pattern to match a leather bag she found in a St Kilda op shop.
Meanwhile, Genevieve Preston, 28, of Sale, came millinery runner-up in a 1950s cream hat with a lace and bow detail her Albury grandmother wore to the Melbourne Cup.
