Nile only a man for 8 percenters

I READ the Reverend Fred Nile is going to support opposition to a petition to exclude religious fanatics from the front of the Englehardt Street Clinic (Border Mail, June 21).

Mr Nile is well known to represent the “eight percenters”, the 8 per cent of Australians who do not believe that a woman can make a personal decision by herself and needs a man (like Fred Nile) to tell her what she can and can’t do.

However, we are pleased he is opposed to “any physical pressure on women considering an abortion” as this would mean he would not approve of the few aggressive protesters who harass and intimidate patients entering the medical practice in Englehardt Street.

Rights to Privacy, Albury, will continue to fight for the right to medical privacy and will conduct a NSW statewide petition to legislate for an “exclusion zone” around all legal medical clinics in NSW.

This is the only way that women’s rights to medical privacy can be protected.

Look at Facebook, Rights to Privacy, Albury for details of the petition.
