28mm with IndiRailsPro20 (Upside Down). I really need stabilization. 28mm f2.0
Good:
-Excellent lighting. The sun was setting.
-Good lens- 28mm 2.0 is my goto lens. Definitely
-Solid Rig. IndiRailsPro20. Best purchase for my rig so far.
Bad:
-My image was flipped. But, now I resolved this issue by doing a LCD flip hack.
-Still not zoomed in enough, I had to zoom into the footage with premiere.
-Need follow focus, even though it is solid, cannot rack focus without a follow focus.
-Beer on the 50mm haha.
-Need a glidecam/flycam system. Shots are still not stable. Maybe a mono pod- just need something to where I can quickly move to get stable/ interesting angles. Any suggestions?

This is a joint effort! ---------- Overview: This video is a teaser for a collaboration between Philip Bloom and Deltree, The first film ever to be shot on an iPhone. Brilliantly shot using the latest technology, the film will showcase revolution of HD film-making with the Apple iPhone 4. Couple of technical notes: Rig was a quick pass at mounting- this is not the final rig. We mounted it onto a redrock mattebox. Not for the looks but because it was the best way we could gel/ND the iPhone. Because we were rushed we had to shoot in broad daylight- not ideal when we cant control shutter/exposure. I really need stabilization. 28mm f2.0 Good: -Excellent lighting. The sun was setting. -Good lens- 28mm 2.0 is my goto lens. Definitely -Solid Rig. IndiRailsPro20. Best purchase for my rig so far. Bad: -My image was flipped. But, now I resolved this issue by doing a LCD flip hack. -Still not zoomed in enough, I had to zoom into the footage with premiere. -Need follow focus, even though it is solid, cannot rack focus without a follow focus. -Beer on the 50mm haha. -Need a glidecam/flycam system. 28mm F2.0 Montage- DIY Crane HV20
Bad: - I still didnt zoom in enough on the focus screen. But, I kind of like the effect. -Too much noise- was not shooting correctly...I was in cinemode at 3.something aperture on the camera. -Still not setup with rails on this video (they came in today!!!!! may 7th) Good: - I think the shots are real sharp. - No gain (I think) on the indoor shots - Crane tripod tip via Eugenia's blog - 28mm lens is AMAZING. What do you think? Notes: I crunched the blacks/shadows too much- but it is a dark song :) and the sun was almost set. Please- all criticism/suggestions/feedback WELCOME!

When we set out to film, it was another New Orleans day. Once you get past the inevitable grime and heat, you feel a certain energy or “atmosphere”. Like a kid throwing himself into a mud fight.

28mm with IndiRailsPro20 (Upside Down). I really need stabilization. 28mm f2.0
Good:
-Excellent lighting. The sun was setting.
-Good lens- 28mm 2.0 is my goto lens. Definitely
-Solid Rig. IndiRailsPro20. Best purchase for my rig so far.
Bad:
-My image was flipped. But, now I resolved this issue by doing a LCD flip hack.
-Still not zoomed in enough, I had to zoom into the footage with premiere.
-Need follow focus, even though it is solid, cannot rack focus without a follow focus.
-Beer on the 50mm haha.
-Need a glidecam/flycam system. Shots are still not stable. Maybe a mono pod- just need something to where I can quickly move to get stable/ interesting angles. Any suggestions?

Overview:
This video is a teaser for a collaboration between Philip Bloom and Deltree, The first film ever to be shot on an iPhone. Brilliantly shot using the latest technology, the film will showcase revolution of HD film-making with the Apple iPhone 4.
Couple of technical notes:
Rig was a quick pass at mounting- this is not the final rig. We mounted it onto a redrock mattebox. Not for the looks but because it was the best way we could gel/ND the iPhone.
Because we were rushed we had to shoot in broad daylight- not ideal when we cant control shutter/exposure.
