Horse Trainer
A horse trainer is an individual who has the ability to train different breeds of horses for competitions, shows and for simple horse back riding activities. Often, horse trainers may train thoroughbreds to prepare them for races and trotting competitions. Horse trainers often have the skills to make horses follow orders from their human riders. They may teach horses to learn certain behaviours that will make them obedient to any human command.
A horse trainer may use different techniques in training horses. Techniques may vary for each trainer and may be done by stages or step by step processes. The stages of training may vary for each type of discipline that the horses are trained for. Whatever discipline the horse is trained for, however, the type of training is geared at one common goal and that is to make the horse safe for humans to handle. It is also the goal of the horse trainer to make the horse obedient to its human master. Upon completion of the training, the horse should be easy to manage and should be able to perform particular tasks that may benefit the human handlers.
A horse trainer may perform several tasks while training the horse. Such tasks may include feeding and grooming the horse, saddling the horse and putting bridles on, making the horse accustomed to the harnesses and reins, teach the horse tricks and many more.
A horse trainer may also supervise staff, make plans and training programs for horses and carry out the plans strategically.
