A blade is that portion of a tool, weapon, or machine with an edge that is designed to cut and/or puncture, stab, slash, chop, slice, thrust, or scrape animate or inanimate surfaces or materials. A blade may be made from a flaking stone, such as flint, metal (usually steel), ceramic, or other material.
Blades are used for utility purposes (food preparation, craftwork, outdoors sport, etc.) and for combat.
When used for food preparation, the main uses are slicing (cutting by drawing the blade across the object, applying light pressure) and chopping (cutting by pushing the blade through object), with some piercing (using the tip to cut through the surface).
In combat, a blade may be used to slash (i.e. to cut with the edge, generally in a swinging motion), puncture or stab (the blade is plunged into the opponent, starting with the tip and proceeding as the blade enters more deeply), thrown (i.e. by throwing the knife so the point enters the target) or propelled (i.e. a ballistic knife).
Blades may be used to scrape, moving the blade sideways across a surface, as in an ink eraser, rather than along or through a surface.
Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos (born December 19, 1967), better known by the stage name Criss Angel, is an American magician and illusionist. He is best known for starring in the television show, Criss Angel Mindfreak and his live performance illusion show Criss Angel Believe in artistic collaboration with Cirque du Soleil at the Luxor casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Angel is also the creator of the MagicPlace.com.
Angel's childhood interest in magic grew as he aged and by the time he graduated from East Meadow High School, he decided to pursue a career as a professional magician instead of attending college as his parents wanted. Angel is of Greek descent.
Criss Angel was the creator, director, and executive producer of the A&E Network show Criss Angel Mindfreak. Seasons 1 and 2 were filmed at The Aladdin in Las Vegas, with Season 3 at the Luxor Las Vegas. Premiering on July 20, 2005, the show's illusions have included walking on water, levitating, walking up the side of Luxor Hotel (in the light of 39 focused lamps that can be seen from space), floating between two buildings, causing a Lamborghini to disappear, surviving in an exploding C4 Crate, cutting himself in half in full view of an audience and getting run over by a steamroller while lying on a bed of broken glass. While making season 3 Angel was injured jumping out of a moving car and stopped production for 2 weeks.
John William "Will" Ferrell (/ˈfɛrəl/; born July 16, 1967) is an American comedian, impressionist, actor, and writer. Ferrell first established himself in the mid 1990s as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, and has subsequently starred in the comedy films Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and The Other Guys. He is considered a member of the "Frat Pack", a generation of leading Hollywood comic actors who emerged in the late 1990s and the 2000s, including Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Vince Vaughn, and brothers Owen and Luke Wilson.
Ferrell was born in Irvine, California, the son of Betty Kay (née Overman), a teacher who taught at Old Mill School elementary school and Santa Ana College, and Roy Lee Ferrell, Jr., a musician with The Righteous Brothers. His parents were both natives of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and moved to California in 1964; Ferrell has Irish ancestry. Ferrell has a younger brother, Patrick. When he was 8, his parents divorced. Ferrell said of the divorce, "I was the type of kid who would say, 'Hey Look at the bright side! We'll have two Christmases.'" The divorce was amicable and both parents were committed to their children. The biggest problem was Lee's line of work. As a person in show business, his paychecks were never steady and he was gone from home months at a time. Growing up in the environment made Ferrell not want to go into show business, but get a steady job.
Rubén Blades Bellido de Luna (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈruβen ˈbleðz]; born July 16, 1948) is a Panamanian salsa singer, songwriter, actor, Latin jazz musician, and activist, performing musically most often in the Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz genres. As songwriter, Blades brought the lyrical sophistication of Central American nueva canción and Cuban nueva trova as well as experimental tempos and political inspired Nuyorican salsa to his music, creating thinking persons' (salsa) dance music. Blades has composed dozens of musical hits, the most famous of which is "Pedro Navaja," a song about a neighborhood thug who appears to die during a robbery (his song "Sorpresas" continues the story), inspired by "Mack the Knife." He also composed and sings what many Panamanians consider their second national anthem. The song is titled "Patria" (Fatherland).
He is an icon in Panama and is much admired throughout Latin America, and managed to attract 18% of the vote in his failed attempt to win the Panamanian presidency in 1994. In September 2004, he was appointed minister of tourism by Panamanian president Martín Torrijos for a five-year term. He holds a law degree from the University of Panama and a master's in international law from Harvard University. He is married to singer Luba Mason.
You hold my head, I cannot hurt
You touch my heart, I cannot bleed
You close my eyes and I can see
Caress my skin my sickness sleeps
My dreams are golden
My dreams are golden
She said "The leper sleeps tonight"
She said...
The greatest good for the greatest number
From the greatest evil comes though they slumber
The greatest triumph proves the greatest blunder
Greatness dies but will still hunger
She strokes and tumbles into my vein
She gently turns the tide of shame
Steal to the city with no name
The scent of darkness smothers pain
My dreams are golden
My dreams are golden
She said "Your wounds will heal tonight"
She said...
The greatest good for the greatest number
From the greatest evil comes though they slumber
The greatest triumph proves the greatest blunder

I'm feeling artistic
I'm drawing lines
My body is my canvas
I'm making marks in time
Feel the coldness
Feel nothing inside
Caress the smoothness and watch it slide
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again and again and again
No one seems to notice
That I don't seem to care
It's my decision, my own life
And I don't intend to share
It's not a question of sanity
Or reaction to something said
No desire to be analysed
For fascination with red
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again and again and again
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again
Uh-oh, here I go
Playing with blades
Again and again and again
and again and again and again

Your final moon sets
On this night you shall die!
Your pathetic merciful god, where is he now?
He didn't listen to your cry…
We will come to you like thieves in the night
To extinct, to erase you
Filled with pure darkened wrath
Filled with passion to murder
Sons and daughters of christ
On the night of all nights die!
Feel the kiss of the scythe
In your horror-filled eyes it gleams bright
You will fall to your knees
Call to god for salvation
Raped by blades straight from Hell
Behold Satans creation!
As you drown in the dark
Feel the pain, feel the torture
You got quenched by the scythe
By the powers of Death's might
We will come to you like thieves in the night
To extinct, to erase you
Raped by blades straight from Hell
Filled with passion to murder
Sons and daughters of christ
Of the night of all nights die!
You got quenched by the scythe
By the powers of Death's might
Your final moon sets, now you know you will die
Face our powerful bloodstained blades
Meet your maker? No!
We will send you straight to Hell
their ears are the epitaph to this digital tombstone it's only a matter of time before we know everyone and have seen everything we all carry weapons of deception blades of treason one in our hands one in our backs i cannot hear a word they are saying i flash a plastic smile in their faces again i remember laughing to me they're dead insincerity was the first to go laid to rest this blade is mine.
