Veronica Mars is a fictional character in UPN/The CW the television series, Veronica Mars, which aired on the UPN and CW networks from 2004 to 2007. She is portrayed by Kristen Bell.
At the beginning of the series, Veronica is a 17-year-old junior at Neptune High in her hometown of Neptune, California. According to series creator Rob Thomas, Veronica's birthday is in August. Veronica has an after-school part time job working for her father, private investigator Keith Mars, the former sheriff of Balboa County, California. At this time in her life, Veronica does not have any friends until she meets and helps Wallace Fennel, who quickly becomes her best friend.
Veronica's story is told via voice-overs and flashbacks fitted into the main story. We learn that a year before the series picks up Veronica's story, Veronica had been a popular teen at Neptune High. Her best friend was popular junior Lilly Kane, and Veronica was dating Lilly's brother, Duncan Kane. Along with Lilly's boyfriend Logan Echolls, the four were at the forefront of the school's wealthy and popular "09er" clique (named after the 90909 zip code, a wealthy area of Neptune) that dominated Neptune High's social scene. Though Veronica did not meet the economic status of the other 09ers, she was accepted into the clique because she was dating Duncan, and because of her father's influence as sheriff.
Veronica Mars is an American television series created by Rob Thomas. Veronica Mars was produced by Warner Bros. Television, Silver Pictures Television, Stu Segall Productions, Inc and Rob Thomas Productions.Joel Silver and Rob Thomas were executive producers for the entire run of the series, while Diane Ruggiero was promoted in the third season.
The series is set in the fictional town of Neptune, California, and stars Kristen Bell as the title character, a student who progresses from high school to college while moonlighting as a private investigator under the tutelage of her detective father. In each episode, Veronica solves a different stand-alone case while working to solve a more complex mystery. The first two seasons of the series each had a season-long mystery arc, introduced in the first episode of the season and solved in the season finale. The third season took a different format, focusing on smaller mystery arcs that would last the course of several episodes.

Well, i 'll tell you
one good thing at least about some
of these junkies was
they had some character
they may have driven me nuts
someties & screwed up
but at least when they played
the damn guitar they' d play it
like they meant it -
these white bread boys nowadays
knowin' all the score,
Faces have trouble smiling
When it's less than a merry affair
When you communicate through the writing on the wall
There's no love for you there
You wanted to draw a picture
But your relationship could never hold a pose
You're left with a roomful of sketches
That only hint at the love you wanted to know
Let it out, let it go
Hold back the tears no longer
Let them fall on the floor
Not on your will to be stronger
Who are you
In the face of disappointment?
Where is your character
The one who keeps you going?
The one who keeps you going
Caught you by surprise
How time changes people and places
Would you guard over your ruins like you're doing
If you knew your first kiss was your greatest?
Let it out, let it go
Hold back the tears no longer, listen
When you work too hard to get along
Maybe it's time you moved on
Who are you
When heavy weather is blowing?
Where is your character
The one who keeps you going?
Who are you
When heavy weather is blowing?
Where is your character, baby
The one who keeps you going, going?
The one who keeps you going, going
The one who keeps you going, going

Move around on my own, fall away from my own
The more that I'm getting known, the more that I feel alone,
Maybe it's my character ,they got me all alone just missing my phone
Even when I'm right I'm feeling wrong
Yeah maybe it's my character ,maybe it's my character x4

Trying to get on the scene the authentic people that grew on me
But usually I'm introduced to people critiquing
This kinda new to me, but maybe it's their character
Acting like they cool with me
Mom tutored me reminding me where I used to be
Guy using me, directing me I ain't losing it
Fans viewing me couple of people they wanna shoot with me
But I'ma do it for y'all, but first I'ma do it for me

Hope when people tell me they feel me they really mean it
Hard cold anemic, got a dream I seen it
I'm just hoping that I never go back Billy Jean
And I mean it, I'm in the studio working when the camera stop
And everybody else left I be the camera shop
From 10 o'clock to 10 o'clock I don't need a watch
'Cause every time I had one of those it made me sleep alot
I don't eat alot I know it's bad for my health
But being broke bad to your health I'm mad at myself
I'm tryin' to get cash for myself, bags in the front
Bags in the back of the fridge got that many shows

If I don't get a record deal at least I got their respect

Pray some thoughts in my mind tell me strechin' nigga
Hit you with the cougar medula while I wrestle niggers
Hitting with the ruger look a shit flex a nigga

No matter where I go they gon' try test a nigga
So I gotta teach him a lesson so they don't mess with niggers
Out of hand niggers follow my shit
Somebody else say I'm hot then they jump on my dick

But they ain't know better 'cause niggers try to tell 'em I'm sick

Move around on my own, fall away from my own
The more that I'm getting known, the more that I feel alone,
Maybe it's my character ,they got me all alone just missing my phone
Even when I'm right I'm feeling wrong
I rage this war against myself and
I'm not the only casualty no ones leaving this play alive
This play of mass tranquility curtain call and then
I walk curtain drops I stumble fall tripped by my material needs
I look out to the gawking creed silent
Whisper becomes a roar
I pick myself up off the floor
And I was forced to bow down to a crowd laughing at me
I rage this war against myself and
I'm not the only casualty take ten paces back and
Fire and see who falls first to their knees don't hunt
The man that's lost his feelings because he will die alone and
Waking waiting for someone to serve him but I'll bite the hand
That tries to feed me and I raise my hand high above the others
In the call for truth.
But invisible boy can't speak he screams awake at night
With all these feelings can they have some meaning what am
I trying to prove we raise our hands for the fight the
Fight in which we'll lose this blind man won't lead the
Blind because this blind man knows no more than you we pray
For change but I can't pray a heart worth none in this
Senseless age a fortress lost in one short toss ashes to
Ashes we all fall what a surprise when you look in my eyes
Did you expect something more from me this grand disguise
Look in my eyes is it not what a mans suppose to be look in
My eyes disguise teach a boy just what to be look in my eyes
Disguise you prayers took this freedom locked from me is this
