Fender 1968 Reissue Princeton & Deluxe Amps - Sit Back & Chillax
Imagine a big smiley Captain face & that's the kind of noise these amps make! The reissue 68 amps are a great price for a wonderful little piece of Fender history. They aren't nailed on copies of the original amps, but it could be argued that the changes Fender have made have actually improved the amps! Guitars used are the Chapman CAP10 (the black one), and a Fender Mex Standard Strat. Pedals used are the LovePedal Eternity E6 (on the Princeton) & the MI Crossover Drive (on the Deluxe). The AB pedal we used was the Radial Big Shot ABY, but any AB pedal will do the job. And guess what??? You can buy all these from Andertons if you want to! Want to read more about these amps & see some more pretty pictures?? Sleeper Amps: why they are often the best guitar amplifier you can buy | Review: tonymckenzie.com
We have all seen them - sleeper amps! But did you know that some of them can be the BEST amp you will ever buy? Some of these amps cost thousands when the first come out, but magically after just a year or so drop to ridiculously low prices then cease production, but that's a good thing although you might not know it! Once you know the facts buying almost ANY sleeper amp (that used to be expensive) can be a veritable bargain. Think of it this way, if that amp originally cost say $2500 (or £2500) and now it's available for just a few hundred then what has changed? NOTHING! You still get the highly expensive amp with exactly what was there when it was new regarding sound and original quality right? And some of those amps are REALLY good! In this video I show you the inside and out of a couple of sleeper amps that were discounted to the hilt, and get to the nitty-gritty of what these two could do for you. Along the way, I also show you a couple of really cool pedals too (a Seymour Duncan Gain Booster and a TS808 Hand Wired from Ibanez). Find out about one of the best kept secrets of floor pedals - that gain boost is really cool and so underrated and never really seen you will be glad that you found out about it right here. Lastly, I show you both sleeper amps being played: first the Fender Machete (which had a fault from new on it) and a DV-Mark Triple 6 that can sound particularly good if you get hold of one and press the right buttons. My YouTube channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/tonymckenziecom where there's over 100 videos right now waiting to be watched by you. Or better still why not hop over to www.tonymckenzie.com to see reviews and other cool stuff that is never going to be on YouTube? You'll be glad you did! My videos are there to help musicians decide what is and is not good gear. I buy ALL equipment so I'm just like you - I review it sometimes to extremes and show you what you are really buying. Check it all out - it's the ONLY way to go, it could save you a fortune and stop you buying the wrong gear. This video and it's contents are (c) A B Mckenzie and tonymckenzie.com 2014. Does Volts or Amps Kill You? Voltage, Current and Resistance
There's a saying that "it's not the volts that kills you, it's the amps" and while that's true in a way, you can't have amps without volts and skin resistance plays a big part too. This video explores all this, introducing voltage, current and resistance for those new to these things. Tim Hecker - Amps, Drugs, Mellotron
I'm speechless. I mean yeah, this is a variation of his original track: Amps, Drugs, and Harmonium off of what was one of my favorite tracks of 2013. As released by Adult Swim's yearly Summer Singles pack, this is simply beautiful. Try listening to this song over itself. Just play it twice on two different tabs or something. Yamaha THR10C and THR10X Combo Amps
These videos are bonus content related to the January 2014 issue of Guitar World. For the full range of interviews, features, tabs and more, pick up the new issue on newsstands now, or in our online store: http://store.guitarworld.com/products/guitar-world-january-14-the-beatles It wasn't all that long ago—2012 to be exact—that Yamaha surprised us all with the THR10, which I called "one of the most impressive recording and practice amps I've ever played." Like The Matrix, Yamaha has released its part two and three sequels in close succession, but unlike The Matrix, the company's two new THR10C and THR10X amps are just as good, if not better, than their predecessor. Whereas the THR10 was designed to provide sort of a "one-size-fits-all" assortment of tones, the THR10C and THR10X offer amp and effect models targeted for more specific playing styles. The THR10C delivers classic amp tones that a re ideal for blues, country and classic rock, while the THR10X focuses on the high-gain territory that metal and hard rock players prefer. Like the original THR10, both are compact, portable and versatile amps packed with features like preset storage, USB connectivity, AC- or battery-powered operation, "extended stereo" output, detailed editing via THR Editor software and much more.- published: 30 Dec 2013

Watts Amps Ohms and Volts
Watts Amps Ohms and Volts
Concepts of power (watts), current (amps), resistance (ohms), and voltage (volts); and the relationship between them, Ohm's Law. I'll show how the atomizer of your vape works just like water flowing through a hose. Current is the flow of electricity and the rate is measured in amps. Power is the rate that current is converted to heat, measured in watts. Voltage is electrical pressure on current and it's measured in volts. Resistance is the opposing force against current flow, measured in ohms. Ohm's Law equation is I=V/R. Combined with the power equation, P=IV, you can rearrange these variables to find what you need. More importantly it's used to calculate resistance limits for sub-ohm vaping and battery safety.- published: 02 Feb 2014
