A video tribute to Hall of Fame Football Coach Ted Jackson Sr. Produced for the Dallas Gridiron Club Banquet (2/26/12) honoring the 2011 Football Team and Coaches. The video features clips spanning Coach Jackson's career. Coach Jackson Sr. leaves the Dallas Mountaineers program after 27 years. He compiled a 227-83-3 record including the PIAA Class 2A state title in 1993. Over the past three seasons, the Mountaineers won 30 games, 3 Wyoming Valley Conference AAA titles, and were PIAA District 2 runner-ups in 2009 and 2011. Despite a large legion of supporters, he had his detractors due to his firey coaching style and personality. In recent years, the list of detractors included many on the Dallas School Board. Despite his success on the field, his contract was not renewed following the 2011 season. A public outcry followed, but the Dallas School Board decided in February 2012 to uphold their decision to not rehire Coach Jackson. An public event to honor his coaching career, including a reunion of his past 27 teams, is being planned for Memorial Day weekend 2012. Video produced by Art Daube for the Dallas Gridiron Club and the Jackson family. Some images (pre-2003), including many from multiple local media sources, were extracted from a video previously produced for the Jackson family by Videoguard. All video images from 2003-2011 were shot by the producer. The classic photograph of Coach Jackson at the beginning of the video was shot by The Citizens Voice sports department.
Along, long time ago, 15 years to be precise, Ted Jackson was a 28 year old father of two, boozer, smoker, obese, idle and loathsome.(think John Belushi in Animal House) A useless husband and a terrible father. With numerous car wrecks, nights in local constabularies, and the odd black eye, Ted was hardly living the dream. Two months “professional help” at the end of 1999, fifteen sober years since and life has changed. And boy has it changed..! Now he’s a father of four (the kids even quite like him), Opera singer with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Teacher and Mentor, Extreme Event addict, Fundraiser Extraordinaire and, let’s not forget, fabulous husband.
His notable achievements since his renaissance include singing to thousands as Principal Tenor with the RPCO, Cycling the entire Tour de France in 2006, completing Ironman UK in under 17 hours (but coming last!), leading the North Pole Marathon for 17 seconds (completing in 9 hours at minus 40 degrees!), appearing on Richard and Judy (surely a pinnacle in anyone’s career), and, most recently, completing the Marathon Des Sables (250km race through the Sahara desert).
His latest caper saw him raise over £40,000 for Overcoming MS, a small charity which has had a big impact on his life since Sophie (long-suffering wife and childhood sweetheart!) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009. Devastated by the news, Ted has dedicated himself to raising £777,000. for Overcoming MS. Some things have not changed, he still challenges the scales at around fifteen stone and Mehmet, the local Kebab van owner, could easily be described as Ted’s best friend. Nevertheless, he can never be accused of doing things by halves….what’s next? Oh, just the case of running seven marathons on seven continents in 7 days!

An author, filmmaker, educator and social theorist, Katz has worked in gender violence prevention work with diverse groups of men and boys in sports culture and the military, and has pioneered work in critical media literacy.Katz is the creator and co-founder of the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) program, which advocates the 'bystander approach' to sexual and domestic violence prevention. The World Marathon Challenge is an amazing logistical and physical challenge to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.
Participants will fly to Union Glacier, Antarctica, deep within the Antarctic Circle, to begin their challenge of a lifetime. After the first marathon commences on the 'Frozen facebookContinent' on 17th January 2015, there will be a mere 168 hours left to complete the World Marathon Challenge.
During this seven-day time period, competitors must run standard 42.2km (26.2 miles) marathon distances at Union Glacier (Antarctica), Punta Arenas (Chile), Miami (USA), Madrid (Spain), Marrakech (Morocco), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Sydney (Australia). In doing so, they will complete seven marathons on the planet's seven continents: Antarctica, South America, North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

Ted M. Jackson (born 1956, McComb, Mississippi) is senior staff photographer for the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, Louisiana. He contributes to the newspaper’s extensive gallery of photographs of events in the Greater New Orleans Area.
Jackson finished high school at McComb's Parklane Academy in 1974 and proceeded in his education to Southwest Mississippi Community College and University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation he worked for 2 years with the Daily Iberian in New Iberia, Louisiana, and then went to work for the Times-Picayune.
Having worked for the Times-Picayune since 1984, Jackson was already well established as a photojournalist prior to 2005. Among other accolades, Jackson received the 2003 Community Photojournalism award from the American Society of News Editors (ASNE). After a stint as photojournalistic correspondent during the 1990s U.S. intervention into Haiti, Jackson in 1997 shared a Sigma Delta Chi award and a Pulitzer Prize for his photographic work on Oceans of Trouble, a documentary about threats to the world's fisheries.

Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg (born June 5, 1971) is an American actor, film and television producer, and former rapper. He was known as Marky Mark in his earlier years, and became famous for his 1989 debut as frontman with the band Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. He was named No. 1 on VH1's 40 Hottest Hotties of the 90's. Wahlberg is well known for his roles in films such as Boogie Nights (1997), Three Kings (1999), The Perfect Storm (2000), Planet of the Apes (2001), Rock Star (2001), The Italian Job (2003), I Heart Huckabees (2004), Four Brothers (2005), The Departed (2006), Invincible (2006), Shooter (2007), and The Fighter (2010), Date Night (2010). He has also served as the executive producer of the TV series Entourage, Boardwalk Empire and How to Make It in America.
Wahlberg was born in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, the youngest of nine children, with siblings Arthur, Jim, Paul, Robert, Tracey, Michelle, Debbie (died in 2003 at age 44), and Donnie. His father was of half Swedish and half Irish ancestry, and his mother is of Irish, English, and French Canadian descent. Maternally, Wahlberg is distantly related to author Nathaniel Hawthorne. Wahlberg's mother, Alma Elaine (née Donnelly), was a bank clerk and nurse's aide, and Wahlberg's father, Donald Edward Wahlberg, was a Teamster who worked as a delivery driver. His parents divorced in 1982. Wahlberg had a Roman Catholic upbringing and attended Copley Square High School (but never graduated) on Newbury Street in Boston.

Seth Woobury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is an American actor, voice actor, animator, screenwriter, comedian, producer, director and singer. He created the animated sitcom Family Guy and co-created American Dad! and The Cleveland Show, for which he also voices many of the shows' various characters.
A native of Kent, Connecticut, MacFarlane is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied animation, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He was an animator and writer for Hanna-Barbera for several television shows, including Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory and I Am Weasel, before creating his own series for 20th Century Fox entitled Family Guy in 1999. MacFarlane went on to co-create American Dad! in 2005, and The Cleveland Show in 2009 for Fox. He also went on to serve as executive producer on the Fox sitcom The Winner.
As an actor, he has made guest appearances on shows such as Gilmore Girls, The War at Home and FlashForward. MacFarlane's interest in science fiction and fantasy has led to cameo and guest appearances on Star Trek: Enterprise and voicing the character of Johann Kraus in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army. In 2008, he created his own YouTube series entitled Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. As a singer, MacFarlane has performed at several venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.

The video features clips spanning Coach Jackson's career. Coach Jackson Sr. leaves the Dallas Mountaineers program after 27 years. He compiled a 227-83-3 record including the PIAA Class 2A state title in 1993. Over the past three seasons, the Mountaineers won 30 games, 3 Wyoming Valley Conference AAA titles, and were PIAA District 2 runner-ups in 2009 and 2011. Despite a large legion of supporters, he had his detractors due to his firey coaching style and personality. In recent years, the list of detractors included many on the Dallas School Board. Despite his success on the field, his contract was not renewed following the 2011 season. A public outcry followed, but the Dallas School Board decided in February 2012 to uphold their decision to not rehire Coach Jackson. An public event to honor his coaching career, including a reunion of his past 27 teams, is being planned for Memorial Day weekend 2012. Video produced by Art Daube for the Dallas Gridiron Club and the Jackson family. Some images (pre-2003), including many from multiple local media sources, were extracted from a video previously produced for the Jackson family by Videoguard. All video images from 2003-2011 were shot by the producer. The classic photograph of Coach Jackson at the beginning of the video was shot by The Citizens Voice sports department.

Now he’s a father of four (the kids even quite like him), Opera singer with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Teacher and Mentor, Extreme Event addict, Fundraiser Extraordinaire and, let’s not forget, fabulous husband.
His notable achievements since his renaissance include singing to thousands as Principal Tenor with the RPCO, Cycling the entire Tour de France in 2006, completing Ironman UK in under 17 hours (but coming last!), leading the North Pole Marathon for 17 seconds (completing in 9 hours at minus 40 degrees!), appearing on Richard and Judy (surely a pinnacle in anyone’s career), and, most recently, completing the Marathon Des Sables (250km race through the Sahara desert).
His latest caper saw him raise over £40,000 for Overcoming MS, a small charity which has had a big impact on his life since Sophie (long-suffering wife and childhood sweetheart!) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009. Devastated by the news, Ted has dedicated himself to raising £777,000. for Overcoming MS. Some things have not changed, he still challenges the scales at around fifteen stone and Mehmet, the local Kebab van owner, could easily be described as Ted’s best friend. Nevertheless, he can never be accused of doing things by halves….what’s next? Oh, just the case of running seven marathons on seven continents in 7 days!

The World Marathon Challenge is an amazing logistical and physical challenge to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.
Participants will fly to Union Glacier, Antarctica, deep within the Antarctic Circle, to begin their challenge of a lifetime. After the first marathon commences on the 'Frozen facebookContinent' on 17th January 2015, there will be a mere 168 hours left to complete the World Marathon Challenge.
During this seven-day time period, competitors must run standard 42.2km (26.2 miles) marathon distances at Union Glacier (Antarctica), Punta Arenas (Chile), Miami (USA), Madrid (Spain), Marrakech (Morocco), Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and Sydney (Australia).
