"Just Because of You" is the second single released by German boy band US5. It reached the top 5 on the German singles chart. It is the second single taken from their debut album Here We Go.

Because of You...

Because of You... is a perfume endorsed by American pop/R&B singer, songwriter Jordin Sparks, which she created alongside Belmay Fragrances. The product was released exclusively to Dots Department Stores on October 6, 2010. Because of You... was followed by two additional releases. Fascinate was intended to be more of a daytime fragrance, and Ambition. Each scent was followed with its own Eau De Parfum release and multiple gift sets.

Smashes and Trashes

Smashes and Trashes is a greatest hits album by the British rock band Skunk Anansie. It is a 15-track career-embracing album and includes three previously unreleased tracks; "Tear the Place Up", "Because of You" and "Squander". The bonus track edition includes acoustic versions of "Weak" and "Because of You". This is the band's first new material since splitting in 2001. The album was released surrounding a greatest hits tour around Europe.

On 3 July 2009, the music video for "Tear the Place Up" was posted on MySpace. On 10 August 2009 a new video and song, "Because of You", was presented exclusively on Kerrang.com. It was released on 14 September 2009 in the UK, with "Squander" following on 9 November 2009.

In Italy the album was certified Gold by the Federation of the Italian Music Industry for sales in excess of 30,000 copies.

"Because of You" is a 2007 song by singer and songwriter Ne-Yo. It is the first single from his second album of the same name. The single started radio play the week of March 27, 2007.

Song information

Five other versions of the song have surfaced, one with an extended ending, one featuring rapper AC, S-One, Michael Jackson as well as Joe Budden; a second one features Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The official remix, however, features Kanye West. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 84 in March; it reached the top ten in May when it climbed from number 39 to number 5 in one week. The song has become his second-most successful song in the U.S., after his 2006 number-one hit "So Sick". It reached a peak at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also peaked at number 4 in the UK, becoming Ne-Yo's only lead single to date to not reach the top spot.

The beat used is somehow unique in the R&B style. The main melodic instruments include muted harpsichord and guitar, whilst the groove uses a bass/clap beat combined together. The groove is heavily influenced by the disco style guitar with delay. The bass/clap beat, mixed with harpsichord, gave listeners an initial impression of the song being a remix, with which the effect is typically associated. This type of beat would later appear in Ne-Yo's 2008 hit "Closer", which uses guitar with a bass/clap beat mixed with keyboard and chorus matching the vocals.

Just Because (Anita Baker song)

"Just Because" is a song by American R&B/soul singer Anita Baker. The single was the second release from her "multi-platinum" album, Giving You the Best That I Got. "Just Because" peaked at number one on the Hot Black Singles, making it Baker's second number one and also made the Top 40, peaking at number fourteen.

The Golden Age of Knowhere

The Golden Age of Knowhere is the debut studio album by American band Funeral Party. The album was produced by Lars Stalfors (known for his work with The Mars Volta) with the exception of "New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A." which was produced by David Corcos, and subsequently on RCA Records.

Title

The title was inspired by Lord of the Flies with lead singer Chad stating, "I was just really into the idea of a civilization restarting but with a new mentality of, like, kids starting it up. Like something brand new."

Lyrical themes

"New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A." explores a sense of 'yearning for something to happen' rather than a rivalry of the two cities music scenes. "I was like, 'Fuck! I wish that we could just start our own thing.' And that's why I like being in a band. You kind of feel like that, like you're in your own tribe and you want to set out to start some sort of movement."

Recording process

The album was recorded in 2008 and a took a year to complete. The music was finished quickly but vocalist Chad had to return to the studio to do multiple vocal takes. Chad said of the recording process, "I was going through a break up-slash-getting with someone else, so at that point, my voice was more 'raspy sounding'. Later on, my relations were going fine, so it had more of a soothing sound."
