Crep Protect - A Slightly More Thorough Test

Here is my "slightly" more thorough test of Crep Protect, a superhydrophobic spray for sneakers / trainers that gives them a protective coating designed to stop water and stains. Everything in this video is purely my own experience, which I filmed in case it might help others. I hold the copyright to 100% of the footage contained in this video and 100% of the audio (there is no music). This is not meant to be a definitive, scientific test so please don't take it as such. Other people's experiences may well be different to my own. If you have a video where you've tested this or any similar products please do post the link in the comments, I'm definitely interested in seeing similar videos. I made this video because at the time I couldn't find any where people compared a treated shoe side-by-side with an untreated shoe, where people tried rubbing ketchup (or other sauces) into the material or where people compared the freshly-sprayed treatment with the same shoe after a day of wearing it. So I bought some cheap shoes knowing at least one of them would get ruined, but hoping the resulting video might be interesting or helpful to others. I think you can see how surprised I am as the video goes on. I went into this thinking that the Crep Protect was going to fare a lot better and in the end I was disappointed. I really wanted it to be a miracle product but for me that didn't happen. I know it doesn't actually claim to work if you rub stuff in, so maybe that test was unfair, but what did surprise me was how well the untreated shoe held up for all of the tests. At the end, if you just go by the stains left on the shoes there's actually no difference between the two. So my quest continues - I'm going to buy some Stay Fly Stay Dry Shoe Juice and see if it holds up any better. Thanks for watching / reading.
