I am sure you have heard the mantra “It’s a Numbers Game” and it surely is. Our goal is to consistently expose our opportunity to as many people as possible to find those PEOPLE who see the potential in the opportunity just as we did. I capitalized “People” above to reinforce the notion that Prospects or Leads are actually People and we need to keep reminding ourselves of this fact so that we treat them as people and don’t turn into that Weird MLM Guy when we approach them! There are many places to meet people, for example you can go through you warm list of family and friends, you can attend Networking events like BNI or MeetUp groups and then of course there is social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Sendcere to name a few. When you visit these sites you will see that there are literally millions of people on there every day looking to engage and share with others. I often hear people ask, “That’s all very well but how do I get them, what do I say?” I believe a lot of people have hidden fears of approaching strangers which goes right back to our childhood where we are consistently told “Not to talk to strangers” You need to correct this mindset as soon as you can if you want to succeed in your Home Business. You must believe that your products and opportunity have immense value that can change people lives so that you can confidently share it with others. That being said, that does not mean that you go around throwing up information about your opportunity all over everyone you meet, NO! It means confidently sharing with those who have expressed an interest and are open to learning more. This also means that you do NOT just go around spamming people with your links either! This then gets us back to the question of how to go about meeting the right kind of people? In the video below I share some tips and ideas that I am sure you will find helpful. Prospecting is a small-scale form of mineral exploration which is an organised, large scale effort undertaken by mineral resource companies to find commercially viable ore deposits.
Prospecting is physical labour, involving traversing (traditionally on foot or on horseback), panning, sifting and outcrop investigation, looking for signs of mineralisation. A prospector must also make claims, meaning they must erect posts with the appropriate placards on all four corners of a desired land they wish to prospect and register this claim before they may take samples.
The traditional methods of prospecting involved combing through the countryside, often through creek beds and along ridgelines and hilltops, often on hands and knees looking for signs of mineralisation in the outcrop. In the case of gold, all streams in an area would be panned at the appropriate trap sites looking for a show of 'colour' or gold in the river trail.
