Well, yeah.. Yet another take on a budget DIY guitar isolation cabinet. Chainsaw Surgeon style this time.. Double walled MDF construction with 50mm mineral wool and 25mm acoustic foam along with your garden variety silicone sealant both to glue the sides together and to maximize the insulation / isolation. Outer cabinet made out of 16mm MDF, inner cab with 12mm MDF. Inside there's 100mm of wool under the inner cabinet. 50mm of wool on all sides ..for starters. Used all available / surplus there, so the final amounts maybe to 80-100mm on all sides (compressed). Enough to make the inner cabs' sides to bulge inwards quite noticeably before adding the speaker panel for additional side support (as seen in the pictures)... Basic 50mm wool layer on the inner box inside walls with 25mm of acoustic foam and (quite) some added (white, pictured) foam for additional caulking etc. Both boxes' inner tops have the same 50mm wool treatment with the inner box having also a 25mm layer of the acoustic foam attached. Both box tops are "upholstered" to prevent the wool from spreading into the cabinet. The outer top panel is locked in place (pictured) with eight quite tight locks and this really tight joint is sealed with "high quality" insulation..
