David Call

David Steven Call (born August 14, 1982) is an American actor.

Personal life

Call was born in Issaquah, Washington. He is a graduate student of the Tisch School of the Arts and the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School.

Acting career

Call's first acting role was an uncredited role in the 2005 film The Notorious Bettie Page, followed by roles in the 2006 films The Architect and Beautiful Ohio. In 2007, he appeared in the romantic drama film Evening. He guest-starred in the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Ricky Moss in the episode Neighborhood Watch, and he appeared on Army Wives. In 2009, he appeared in five episodes of the drama series Rescue Me as the adult Connor Gaven. He also joined the cast of NBC's medical drama Mercy. He got a supporting role in the 2009 film Did You Hear About the Morgans? starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant. He appeared in the 2010 independent films Tiny Furniture and Two Gates of Sleep.

In July 2010, Call joined the cast of The CW's young-adult teen drama series Gossip Girl as Ben Donovan, who is connected to two other then-new characters—Juliet Sharp (Katie Cassidy) and Colin Forrester (Samuel Page).

The Heart Machine

The Heart Machine is a 2014 romantic thriller film written and directed by Zachary Wigon based on his short film Someone Else's Heart. It stars John Gallagher, Jr. and Kate Lyn Sheil as a couple whose long distance relationship becomes strained when evidence appears to contradict Sheil's character's background. The film was released in a limited release on October 24, 2014, by Filmbuff.

Plot

After they meet on a dating site, Cody and Virginia begin chatting with each other over Skype and subsequently start a long distance relationship. Virginia tells Cody that although she lives in Germany, she plans to return to the New York City area in six months, and they make plans to meet. As they grow emotionally closer, Cody experiences second thoughts when a series of details seem to contradict Virginia's story, such as the sirens of emergency vehicles that sound North American. Cody becomes very confused when he sees what he believes to be Virginia on a New York City subway train. He does not approach her, but in his next Skype chat with her, he says he spotted her doppelgänger.

Rademacher (band)

Rademacher is an indie rock band from Fresno, California. They have toured the West Coast with bands including Silversun Pickups, The Joggers, Earlimart, and Man Man. They released three EPs between 2004 and 2006, as well as their first full-length album in December 2007. The final disc of their three-album Baby Hawk trilogy was released on March 6, 2012.

Rademacher was featured in Billboard magazine under the heading: "Unsigned artists with the potential to break into the big time." Rademacher's music was also featured on the television show Icons which airs on the G4 network.

The band released their first full-length album, Stunts, on December 4, 2007. The album was recorded at The Ship studios in Eagle Rock, and produced by their friend Aaron Espinosa of Earlimart. To promote their new album, Rademacher set up live show residencies in San Francisco, Fresno and Los Angeles, as well as a "blog-idency", where the band made their songs from the new album available on four different LA-area music blogs. This approach gained the band notoriety from various music journals, like CMJ and Spin Magazine.

David, Chiriquí

David (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈβið]) officially San José de David is a city and corregimiento located in the west of Panama. It is the capital of the province of Chiriquí and has an estimated population of 144,858 inhabitants as confirmed in 2013. It is a relatively affluent city with a firmly established, dominant middle class and a very low unemployment and poverty index. The Pan-American Highway is a popular route to David.

The development of the banking sector, public construction works such as the expansion of the airport and the David-Boquete highway alongside the growth of commercial activity in the city have increased its prominence as one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The city is currently the economic center of the Chiriqui province and produces more than half the gross domestic product of the province, which totals 2.1 billion. It is known for being the third-largest city in the country both in population and by GDP and for being the largest city in Western Panama.

David (Bernini)

David is a life-size marble sculpture by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The sculpture was one of many commissions to decorate the villa of Bernini's patron Cardinal Scipione Borghese – where it still resides today, as part of the Galleria Borghese It was completed in the course of seven months from 1623 to 1624.

The subject of the work is the biblical David, about to throw the stone that will bring down Goliath, which will allow David to behead him. Compared to earlier works on the same theme (notably the David of Michelangelo), the sculpture broke new ground in its implied movement and its psychological intensity.

Background

Between 1618 and 1625 Bernini was commissioned to undertake various sculptural work for the villa of one of his patrons, Cardinal Scipione Borghese. In 1623 – only yet 24 years old – he was working on the sculpture of Apollo and Daphne, when, for unknown reasons, he abandoned this project to start work on the David. According to records of payment, Bernini had started on the sculpture by mid–1623, and his contemporary biographer, Filippo Baldinucci, states that he finished it in seven months.

David Abraham Cheulkar

David Abraham Cheulkar (1909 – 28 December 1981), popularly known as David, was a Jewish-Indian Hindi film actor and a member of Mumbai's Marathi speaking Bene Israel community. In a career spanning four decades, he played mostly character roles, starting with 1941 film Naya Sansar, and went on to act in over 110 films, including memorable films like, Gol Maal (1979), Baton Baton Mein (1979) and Boot Polish (1954) for which he was awarded the 1955 Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award.

Early life

David graduated from the University of Bombay with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the year 1930. After a six year unsuccessful struggle to land himself a job, he decided to try his luck in the Hindi film industry by becoming a professional actor. During these years of struggle, he also managed to obtain a degree in law from the Government Law College.

Finally, on 15 January 1937, with the help of his close friend Mr. Nayampalli, a veteran character actor, he managed to land himself his first role in a movie. The movie was Zambo and it was being produced and directed by Mohan Bhavnani who was the Chief Producer of the Films Division of the Government of India.
