Nigeria violence 'Boko Haram kill 17' in village attack | BREAKING NEWS - 21 MAY 2014 For more Latest and Breaking News Headlines SUBSCRIBE to https://www.youtube.com/user/24X7BreakingNEWS The Islamist group Boko Haram has been accused of killing 17 people in an attack on a village in north-east Nigeria, close to where hundreds of schoolgirls were seized. It comes a day after 118 people died in a twin bomb attack in the central city of Jos, also blamed on Boko Haram. In the latest attack, Boko Haram fighters reportedly spent hours killing and looting in the village of Alagarno. Alagarno is near Chibok, from where the schoolgirls were abducted last month. The abductions of more than 200 girls caused international outrage and have put pressure on the Nigerian authorities to deal with the threat from Boko Haram. People in north-east Nigeria are extremely vulnerable to attacks because many areas are no go zones for the military and the insurgents operate freely, the BBC's Will Ross reports from the country. Witnesses in Alagarno said the suspected Boko Haram fighters arrived close to midnight, and killed and looted for hours before leaving in stolen vehicles. One survivor told the BBC that every single building in the village had been torched. 'Fully committed' Meanwhile, the search for bodies is continuing in Jos following Tuesday's twin bombings that reduced buildings to rubble. The attacks targeted a crowded market and a hospital, and the second blast went off 30 minutes after the first - killing rescue workers who had rushed to the scene. Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan condemned the bombings, and said those who carried out the attacks were "cruel and evil". His office said he was "fully committed to winning the war against terror". He announced increased measures to tackle the militants, including a multinational force around Lake Chad which comprises a battalion each from Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Nigeria. Suspected Islamists kill 90 in Nigeria village raid: witnesses For more Latest and Breaking News Headlines SUBSCRIBE to http://www.youtube.com/user/24X7BreakingNEWS Suspected Islamist fighters killed at least 90 people in an early morning attack on a village in remote northeast Nigeria on Sunday, witnesses said. The Boko Haram gunmen surrounded the village of Izge, near the border with Cameroon, spraying it with bullets, setting off explosions and burning down dozens of houses, they said. "As I am talking to you now, all the dead bodies of the victims are still lying in the streets," resident Abubakar Usman told Reuters by telephone. "We fled without burying them, fearing the terrorists were still lurking in the bushes." Borno state Police Commissioner Lawal Tanko confirmed the attack but said he had no details of casualties. Another witness, Lawan Madu, said hundreds of residents had fled. President Goodluck Jonathan ordered extra troops into northeast Nigeria in May to try to crush the insurgents, who want to carve a breakaway Islamic state out of largely Muslim northern Nigeria, where they have killed thousands of people. But the Islamists simply retreated into the remote, hilly Gwoza area bordering Cameroon, from where they have continued to mount deadly attacks that increasingly target civilians. Jonathan faces an election in a year's time, and the persistence of Boko Haram's 4-1/2-year-old insurgency despite an costly military operation against it remains a major headache. Last week, Boko Haram fighters in trucks painted in military colors killed 51 people in an attack on the Konduga local government area. October 2013 Breaking News Final Hour MUST SEE VIDEO - Last days final hour news prophecy update
October 2013 - Final Hour end times news update - Breaking News MUST SEE VIDEO Do you know what is going on in the world? Sign of the last days JESUS SPOKE ABOUT END-TIME EVENTS. His disciples asked Him: "Tell us, when shall these things be? and WHAT SHALL BE THE SIGN when all these things shall be fulfilled?" Luke reports: "...they asked Him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and WHAT SIGN WILL THERE BE when these things shall come to pass? Matthew's report is specific: "...Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be? The events of the twentieth century alerted Bible students to the tremendous potential for fulfilled prophecy, and many students of the Bible and eschatology recognize the events continuing to unfold in the world today as signs of the last days. Today many secular as well as religious authorities recognize ... "These are extraordinary times." An Associated Press writer asks, "Is everything spinning out of control?" A Wall Street Journal headline read, "Millennium Fever: Prophets Proliferate, The End is Near." A New York Times book review began, "Some 50 million Americans share a belief that these are the last days." Even the Chicago Tribune ran a front-page story about the end times in a recent Sunday edition. Even the most seasoned newsmen who have "seen it all" are in awe of the world developments in recent years. All of them realize that something unique in the history of the world is happening today. And what's most stunning about it all is the breath-taking rapidity of these recent developments the last few years leading up to 2013. What next..the bible says keep your eyes on Jerusalem...people continually slide into the chaos that results from their rebellion against God. "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." - Matthew 24:7 Other conflicts are raging in Darfur, Saudi Arabia, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand, Chad, Gaza Strip and the West Bank in Israel, Niger and Mali, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. The centuries old conflict involving the Islamic world has not abated, rather seems to be escalating toward a world war III conflict. THE SIGN OF THY COMING, and of the END OF THE WORLD?" (Mark 13:3-4, Luke21:7, Matthew 24:3) Luke's Report TELLS US PLAINLY what we're supposed to "UNDERSTAND": "And WHEN YE SHALL SEE JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, THEN KNOW that the DESOLATION THEREOF is near.- published: 10 Jan 2013

Riddled with corruption, theft and sabotage: why the Niger Delta and oil do not mix For downloads and more information visit: http://www.journeyman.tv/66104/short-films/a-crude-extraction-hd.html Learn more about this story on the Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/video/2013/oct/07/niger-delta-nigeria-oil-spill-cost-crude-video Heavily polluted from 50 years of living with the oil industry, the Niger Delta is riddled with corruption, oil theft and sabotage. This investigation reveals why oil and the Delta's residents do not mix. Nigeria says it's losing 400,000 barrels of oil a day to criminal activity. "The military are the biggest players. There's nothing you can do without seeking their consent", says a local oil trader. Nnimmo Bassey of Oil Watch International agues that, "oil has been the major factor that has dislocated everything", but others believe it can still benefit the local people.
