The Company
Spy vs. spy. Three Yale grads, class of 1954, join their respective countries' secret service. We follow them for 40 years - through the outing of a British spy, the Hungarian revolution, the Bay of Pigs, the scent of moles, and the collapse of the USSR. Fictional characters - Yalies Jack McCauliffe, Leo Kritzky, and Yevgeny Tsipin and Jack's boss Harvey Torriti - rub shoulders with real figures like Kim Philby and James Angleton to tell stories of romance, intrigue, double-crosses, false leads, suicide, execution, and exile - in the name of ideology, patriotism, paranoia, perfidy, and one-upsmanship. Can the CIA claim any credit in the West's Cold War triumph?

After a show in 2006 where Fireball Ministry was supporting CKY, Rota approached Margera about playing drums with them. Jess agreed and the band made some instrumental tracks. Later, Fallon agreed to appear as a guest vocalist on one of the songs. Eventually Fallon became a full member of the group and the line-up was complete. The band was invited to record at Bam Margera's recording studio, The Hobbit Hole on Bam's Pennsylvania Estate.[citation needed] The band's debut EP, Sign Here, Here and Here was released through the iTunes Store, with a CD to be released in February 2008 Their debut EP, "Sign Here, Here and Here" was completed at Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood with producer Andrew Alekel (FU MANCHU, FIREBALL MINISTRY) Jess Margera has recently stated on the message board of his official website that a full length album is currently in the works, to be called The Vacation Of Tomorrow, Today!. Commissioned by Bring To Light Festival NYC.
A collaboration between Creative Coder
Andrea Cuius and Designer Roland Ellis.
A suspended surface of 76 tungsten lamps form a catenary arch, playing host to live performances and revisiting the sounds of the 19th century East River industrial icons. Live adaptation of the soundscape reintroduces routine and mechanical process to the space.
The piece intends to bring back an atmosphere informed by the architectural legacy, a machine being delivered to occupy the space that was once a bustling industrial environment.
By either producing sounds or just reactive to the inputs from the environment, The Company is a sound reactive light installation.
The Company, a machine in a space producing light.
Technical info:
A custom software developed in Cinder(http://libcinder.org/) control the installation using audio sampled in real time. The sound analysis is computed with Ableton Live using a Max For Live patch developed by Henrik Ekeus(twitter.com/hekeus), it performs the Fast Fourier Transform, beat detection, attack detection and sound filtering, communicating with the custom software through an OSC connection.
The audio input is used by the custom software to modify the behaviour and the properties of objects in a 3D environment containing an exact replica of the actual installation, the position and shape of the objects as well as other properties like speed and intensity, eventually determinate the brightness of each light bulb individually addressed.
Bring To Light NYC:
Bring to Light is a free nighttime public festival of art in New York City that takes place simultaneously with "nuit blanche" events in cities around the world. Inviting emerging and established artists to make site-specific installations of light, sound, performance and projection art, the event creates an immersive spectacle for thousands of visitors to re-imagine public space and civic life. Bring to Light transforms streets, parks and the industrial waterfront of Greenpoint, Brooklyn set against dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline.

James Rota of Fireball Ministry, with Jess Margera of CKY, Jason Diamond of Puny Human, and Dave Bone. The group was formed by James Rota, Dave Bone and Jason Diamond in 2006 as a side project when they had free time. After a show in 2006 where Fireball Ministry was supporting CKY, Rota approached Margera about playing drums with them. Jess agreed and the band made some instrumental tracks. Later, Fallon agreed to appear as a guest vocalist on one of the songs. Eventually Fallon became a full member of the group and the line-up was complete. The band was invited to record at Bam Margera's recording studio, The Hobbit Hole on Bam's Pennsylvania Estate.[citation needed] The band's debut EP, Sign Here, Here and Here was released through the iTunes Store, with a CD to be released in February 2008 Their debut EP, "Sign Here, Here and Here" was completed at Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood with producer Andrew Alekel (FU MANCHU, FIREBALL MINISTRY) Jess Margera has recently stated on the message board of his official website that a full length album is currently in the works, to be called The Vacation Of Tomorrow, Today!. As of May 2008, there are 6 songs in the works, and he is going into the studio with the rest of the band in June to record the full length. The Company, Bring To Light NYC
Commissioned by Bring To Light Festival NYC.
A collaboration between Creative Coder
Andrea Cuius and Designer Roland Ellis.
A suspended surface of 76 tungsten lamps form a catenary arch, playing host to live performances and revisiting the sounds of the 19th century East River industrial icons. Live adaptation of the soundscape reintroduces routine and mechanical process to the space.
The piece intends to bring back an atmosphere informed by the architectural legacy, a machine being delivered to occupy the space that was once a bustling industrial environment.
By either producing sounds or just reactive to the inputs from the environment, The Company is a sound reactive light installation.

Technical info:
A custom software developed in Cinder(http://libcinder.org/) control the installation using audio sampled in real time. The sound analysis is computed with Ableton Live using a Max For Live patch developed by Henrik Ekeus(twitter.com/hekeus), it performs the Fast Fourier Transform, beat detection, attack detection and sound filtering, communicating with the custom software through an OSC connection.
The audio input is used by the custom software to modify the behaviour and the properties of objects in a 3D environment containing an exact replica of the actual installation, the position and shape of the objects as well as other properties like speed and intensity, eventually determinate the brightness of each light bulb individually addressed.
Bring To Light NYC:
Bring to Light is a free nighttime public festival of art in New York City that takes place simultaneously with "nuit blanche" events in cities around the world. Inviting emerging and established artists to make site-specific installations of light, sound, performance and projection art, the event creates an immersive spectacle for thousands of visitors to re-imagine public space and civic life. Bring to Light transforms streets, parks and the industrial waterfront of Greenpoint, Brooklyn set against dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline.

The Company is a sound reactive light installation, a collaboration with designer Roland Ellis.

The Company is a 2003 film about the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago. It was released on December 26, 2003 in the United States and around the world in the first half of 2004. The movie was directed by Robert Altman and stars Neve Campbell, who also co-wrote and co-produced the film. The movie also stars Malcolm McDowell as the ballet company's artistic director, a character based on Gerald Arpino.
The Company is composed of stories gathered from the dancers, choreographers, and staff of the Joffrey Ballet. Most of the roles are played by company members. While a small subplot relates a love story between Campbell's character and a character played by James Franco, most of the movie focuses on the company as a whole, without any real star or linear plot. The many company stories woven together express the dedication and hard work that dancers must put in to their art, although they are seldom rewarded with fame or fortune.
The Company was an idea of Campbell's for a long time – she began her career as a ballet dancer, having been a student at Canada's National Ballet School. Altman was reportedly reluctant to direct it but later agreed.

He thought well maybe that’s the good life, when you don’t even
wonder why anymore, he used to feel like he was the company’s wife,
and since realized he’s the company’s whore, he thinks well it’s not so
bad as he closes the door of the company car, the benefits are good
and it really pays, the back nine on Fridays maybe come in under par,
and he doesn’t have to shave on Saturdays.
A little job here a big job there you know your our man, the company
needs you so bad we know you understand, the opportunity for growth
is so strong and you’re a big part of our plan, doors always open let us
know if you need a hand, that’s the kind of lip service; yuck you have
to wipe up the drool, dedicate your life to building a bigger stronger
enemy, and he may be the company’s whore but he’s never been their
fool, he just listens to what he supposed to hear and stares at what
he’s not supposed to see.
He’s worked for the company twenty two years now and done a better
job than most, never really done anything to be proud of but he has no
shame on his resume, showed up everyday dying for a while dead for
years now he feels like the ghost, just do what you have to do; put the
stitches in the wound of another day.
Well he’s fifty six years old now but his mortgage is much younger, the
economy’s cooling off a bit Bill were going to have to make some cuts,
and you just don’t seem to have that drive like you used to you just
don’t seem to have that hunger, his stats are fifth best out of eight
younger men but you can’t argue with the company they just kick your
ifs ands and buts.
The company took the best years of my life from me, now there just
going to leave me here to bleed, god damn the company.
