Idaho is a colorful state, from the gorgeous oaks along the Salmon River to the distinctive blue football field of Boise State. We start in Idaho Falls, and travel west along the Rugged Snake River to Twin Falls and the amazing Shoshone Falls & Perrine Bridge, near where Evil Kanevil attempted his jump over the Canyon. We then travel to the State Capitol where the Boise River runs along the Boise State Campus.
Heading north from Boise to the mountains along the Payette River popular for tubing & Rafting. , then a the scenic drive of Rt 97 along the waterfront ending at beautiful Cour d'Alene. So as you plan your Spring, Summer, & Fall Getaways, heres a suggestion Idaho. So many people especially in the east do no realize how beautiful this state is. We drove from Bozeman Mt to Idaho Falls mostly at night, this is a mistake, because it is an incredibly beautiful drive. We start with the Snake River in Idaho Falls in what is known as the Greenbelt, a system of trails with parks and waterfall in Idaho Falls https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/. The spring is peak season to seee the falls at their best. Also. Check out also the Idaho Falls Zoo has lions, sloths, penguins, a petting zoo and more.
The Snake River at 1,078 miles long starts in Western Wyoming running along southern Idaho, encompasses 6 US states, ends at the Columbia River in Washington. It was over this river near twin falls in 1974 that legendary daredevil, Evil Kanievel attempted to jump in a Rocket propelled cycle. His Craft technically made it across but the parachute deployed prematurely, blowing him back into the canyon short of the north rim.The Perrine Bridge Stretches 1500 feet across the Snake River. It opened in 1976. It is popular for base jumpers from around the world seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush. One of the only structures in the US where you can base jump without a permit. Now lets head to the High Country on route 55 a very scenic drive along the Payette River. The Payette River popular for Tubing & Rafters, is a 82 mile long river which originates at Salmon River Mountains at elevations of over 10,000 feet and feeds into the Snake River so provides so pretty decent rapids.McCall is a nice cozy resort town on the southern shore of Payette Lake. A great place to stay. They have a super 8, that is one of the better super 8s I've been too, pet friendly, we did a review video here if you would like to check it.The most scenic way into Cordalane is to take Rt 3 to Rt 97 which runs along the east shore of Lake Cordalane the Lake scenery with a variety of tall Pines, & Spruces, is just unbeatable.You know you are officially in the North West when you see sea planes tied up on the docks. Coeurdalane is known for its water sports and trails in the Canfield Mountains & Cordalen National forests. We’ll talk about that and soooo much more! So grab your hiking boots - we’re going to unbox the beautiful but slowly becoming crowded and expensive state of Idaho!
Uh look at that. Another housing development going in. What do you know? Everybody wants to live in Idaho right now. All these darn out of staters are coming here by the busload these days. What was once farmland and forest is being turned into track homes and strip malls. Locals miss the days when they knew everyone in town, when getting up into the mountains took no time at all. Heck, just getting to Albertsons takes 30 minutes now. But, everything’s bound to change one day, I guess.
But Idaho isn’t ALL becoming housing developments and condos and overcrowded schools and crammed roads. Not at all. At least not yet. There’s still room here. After all, it is a pretty big state. And, despite what you may have heard, there’s kind of a lot goin on here. If you’re thinking of moving here, you should get a well rounded perspective on the entire state, so you know what to expect, and where the perfect place for you is.
This is Idaho. Now a good rule of thumb is - if you live in the northern part of the state you live IN the forest. If you live in the southern part of the state you live in a valley or desert, probably very close to farmland. Much of the state is public land, most of that large forested areas or desert. In fact, two thirds of Idaho is protected.
You can break Idaho up into 7 different areas, generally. We’ll begin way up here in northern Idaho, which includes everything from kinda of around here north all the way up the panhandle to the Canadian border. This is a different breed.

Murphy, Idaho
Murphy is an unincorporated census-designated place in Owyhee County, Idaho, United States. The county seat of Owyhee County, it is among the smallest county seats nationwide. As of the 2010 census, its population was 97. Murphy is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Murphy was formed around a railhead of the Boise, Nampa and Owyhee Railroad built in 1899. The town succeeded Silver City (in the Owyhee Mountains) as county seat in 1934, and the railroad operated until 1947. Murphy is the home of the Owyhee County Historical Museum and Library.
The community was named after Cornelius "Con" Murphy, a crew boss with the Boise, Nampa and Owyhee Railroad.
Geography
Murphy is located at 43°13′06″N 116°33′08″W / 43.21833°N 116.55222°W / 43.21833; -116.55222, at an elevation of 2,820 feet (860 m) above sea level; it is 25 miles (40 km) south of Nampa.
Airstrip
Murphy's airstrip is situated immediately northeast of the community, without a control tower. Its 2,500-foot (760 m) asphalt runway is oriented NW-SE (12/30), parallel with State Highway 78. The elevation drops 60 feet (18 m) in the northwest (30) direction, from 2,855 to 2,795 feet.

The state's largest city and capital is Boise. Residents are called "Idahoans". Idaho was admitted to the Union on July 3, 1890, as the 43rd state.
Idaho is a mountainous state with an area larger than that of all of New England. It borders the US states of Montana to the northeast, Wyoming to the east, Nevada and Utah to the south, and Washington and Oregon to the west. To the north, it shares a 45 mi (72 km) international border with the Canadian province of British Columbia, the shortest such land border of any state. The network of dams and locks on the Columbia River and Snake River make the city of Lewiston the farthest inland seaport on the Pacific coast of the contiguous United States.
Idaho's nickname is the "Gem State", because nearly every known type of gemstone has been found there. In addition, Idaho is one of only two places in the world where star garnets can be found in any significant quantities, the other being India. Idaho is sometimes called the "Potato State" owing to its popular and widely distributed crop. The state motto is Esto Perpetua (Latin for "Let it be forever" or "Let it endure forever").

Fires (Nerina Pallot album)
Fires is the second album by London-born singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot. First released in April 2005 on her own independent record label, Idaho Records, Fires was met with much critical acclaim but did not gain commercial recognition.
After working as a support act for artists such as Sheryl Crow and Suzanne Vega, Pallot was signed up to 14th Floor Records, who were impressed with the audience response and after-show sales of her album. Thus, Fires was reissued in late April 2006 with revamped artwork and some slight remixes on some of Pallot's songs. The album entered at UK #41 and later, on the strength of the popular single "Everybody's Gone to War", made it as far as #21.
To date, the album has been certified gold in the UK for sales of over 100,000, and has earned Pallot a nomination at the 2007 BRIT Awards for Best British Female. As of 4 October 2009, the album has sold 138,563 copies in the UK.

Idaho is a colorful state, from the gorgeous oaks along the Salmon River to the distinctive blue football field of Boise State. We start in Idaho Falls, and travel west along the Rugged Snake River to Twin Falls and the amazing Shoshone Falls & Perrine Bridge, near where Evil Kanevil attempted his jump over the Canyon. We then travel to the State Capitol where the Boise River runs along the Boise State Campus.
Heading north from Boise to the mountains along the Payette River popular for tubing & Rafting. , then a the scenic drive of Rt 97 along the waterfront ending at beautiful Cour d'Alene. So as you plan your Spring, Summer, & Fall Getaways, heres a suggestion Idaho. So many people especially in the east do no realize how beautiful this state is. We drove from Bozeman Mt to Idaho Falls mostly at night, this is a mistake, because it is an incredibly beautiful drive. We start with the Snake River in Idaho Falls in what is known as the Greenbelt, a system of trails with parks and waterfall in Idaho Falls https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/. The spring is peak season to seee the falls at their best. Also. Check out also the Idaho Falls Zoo has lions, sloths, penguins, a petting zoo and more.
The Snake River at 1,078 miles long starts in Western Wyoming running along southern Idaho, encompasses 6 US states, ends at the Columbia River in Washington. It was over this river near twin falls in 1974 that legendary daredevil, Evil Kanievel attempted to jump in a Rocket propelled cycle. His Craft technically made it across but the parachute deployed prematurely, blowing him back into the canyon short of the north rim.The Perrine Bridge Stretches 1500 feet across the Snake River. It opened in 1976. It is popular for base jumpers from around the world seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush. One of the only structures in the US where you can base jump without a permit. Now lets head to the High Country on route 55 a very scenic drive along the Payette River. The Payette River popular for Tubing & Rafters, is a 82 mile long river which originates at Salmon River Mountains at elevations of over 10,000 feet and feeds into the Snake River so provides so pretty decent rapids.McCall is a nice cozy resort town on the southern shore of Payette Lake. A great place to stay. They have a super 8, that is one of the better super 8s I've been too, pet friendly, we did a review video here if you would like to check it.The most scenic way into Cordalane is to take Rt 3 to Rt 97 which runs along the east shore of Lake Cordalane the Lake scenery with a variety of tall Pines, & Spruces, is just unbeatable.You know you are officially in the North West when you see sea planes tied up on the docks. Coeurdalane is known for its water sports and trails in the Canfield Mountains & Cordalen National forests. We’ll talk about that and soooo much more! So grab your hiking boots - we’re going to unbox the beautiful but slowly becoming crowded and expensive state of Idaho!
Uh look at that. Another housing development going in. What do you know? Everybody wants to live in Idaho right now. All these darn out of staters are coming here by the busload these days. What was once farmland and forest is being turned into track homes and strip malls. Locals miss the days when they knew everyone in town, when getting up into the mountains took no time at all. Heck, just getting to Albertsons takes 30 minutes now. But, everything’s bound to change one day, I guess.
But Idaho isn’t ALL becoming housing developments and condos and overcrowded schools and crammed roads. Not at all. At least not yet. There’s still room here. After all, it is a pretty big state. And, despite what you may have heard, there’s kind of a lot goin on here. If you’re thinking of moving here, you should get a well rounded perspective on the entire state, so you know what to expect, and where the perfect place for you is.
This is Idaho. Now a good rule of thumb is - if you live in the northern part of the state you live IN the forest. If you live in the southern part of the state you live in a valley or desert, probably very close to farmland. Much of the state is public land, most of that large forested areas or desert. In fact, two thirds of Idaho is protected.
You can break Idaho up into 7 different areas, generally. We’ll begin way up here in northern Idaho, which includes everything from kinda of around here north all the way up the panhandle to the Canadian border. This is a different breed.

Gumball, the amusing blue cat with a giant head and his best buddy Darwin, a pet goldfish who sprouted legs, step up the hilarity and hijinks in Cartoon Network's comedy series, The Amazing World of Gumball. The BAFTA award-winning series tells the story of an extra-ordinary suburban family who just happen to live in an ordinary town. Along with Gumball and Darwin there's Dad, a 6'4" pink rabbit who stays at home while Mom works in the rainbow factory and Anais, a 4-year-old genius bunny. This season will bring to light to some tough questions such as; will Gumball ever win the affections of Penny? How will Darwin react when Banana Joe chews up his pen? And what happens when Gumball and Darwin get their first cell phone? All will be answered, well maybe not answered, but it sure will be entertaining to watch.

Police released the full body cam footage of Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie in Moab, Utah. Dr. John Matthias, forensic Psychologist, along with reporter Lauren Matthias--hosts of Hidden: A True Crime Podcast--assess the first minutes of the footage and analyze what they see. #FINDGABBYPETITO
Dr. John Matthias is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with twenty-five years’ experience in both clinical and forensic work. He has performed over 500 forensic and psychological evaluations and risk assessments for the courts since 1996, assessing the risks for violent and sexual recidivism for both adults and juveniles. He serves as an expert witness for the federal government and he has consulted on numerous high-profile cases for District Attorney’s offices and defense attorneys in several states. He is a certified court evaluator in several Western states, and he has forensic evaluation contracts with the federal government. He recently started a podcast, Hidden: A True Crime Podcast, with his journalist wife, Lauren, to present forensic psychology to a broad audience. The current season of the podcast explores the psychological dynamics behind the Vallow/Daybell case.
In the forensic area, Dr. Matthias has developed expertise in personality assessments, hidden behavioral motivations, complex trauma and criminal psychology. In the clinical realm, he has worked with numerous victims of abuse and trauma, including with survivors of the Las Vegas shooting massacre in 2017. He also received his Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child counseling from the University of Southern California and he has worked with hundreds of families, couples and children over the years. He supervises UNLV doctoral students on forensic assessments, clinical case formulation, and various therapeutic approaches to clinical work.
Dr. Matthias graduated with honors in philosophy from Princeton University, and won the prestigious McCosh Thesis prize while there. In high school he graduated valedictorian from a large public high school in Chicago where he was chosen to participate in a ground-breaking valedictory study that continues to this day. He received his doctorate from the University of Southern California.
Lauren Matthias has worked as an anchor and reporter for ABC, NBC, and FOX News in East Idaho, Boise, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent a decade reporting on a diverse range of topics from high profile crimes to Presidential visits. Most recently, she reported for Salt Lake City’s ABC affiliate News4Utah. In 2015 she received the Idaho State Broadcaster’s Association Best Reporter award in addition to receiving the best report of the year in 2015 based upon a short documentary she did on LGBTQ rights. She was hired by Milwaukee’s ABC affiliate to be their lead reporter in 2015. She recently left the reporting world to stay home with her son and to produce and edit, Hidden: A True Crime Podcast. She currently works as the executive producer of the Hidden podcast .

Idaho is a colorful state, from the gorgeous oaks along the Salmon River to the distinctive blue football field of Boise State. We start in Idaho Falls, and travel west along the Rugged Snake River to Twin Falls and the amazing Shoshone Falls & Perrine Bridge, near where Evil Kanevil attempted his jump over the Canyon. We then travel to the State Capitol where the Boise River runs along the Boise State Campus.
Heading north from Boise to the mountains along the Payette River popular for tubing & Rafting. , then a the scenic drive of Rt 97 along the waterfront ending at beautiful Cour d'Alene. So as you plan your Spring, Summer, & Fall Getaways, heres a suggestion Idaho. So many people especially in the east do no realize how beautiful this state is. We drove from Bozeman Mt to Idaho Falls mostly at night, this is a mistake, because it is an incredibly beautiful drive. We start with the Snake River in Idaho Falls in what is known as the Greenbelt, a system of trails with parks and waterfall in Idaho Falls https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/. The spring is peak season to seee the falls at their best. Also. Check out also the Idaho Falls Zoo has lions, sloths, penguins, a petting zoo and more.
The Snake River at 1,078 miles long starts in Western Wyoming running along southern Idaho, encompasses 6 US states, ends at the Columbia River in Washington. It was over this river near twin falls in 1974 that legendary daredevil, Evil Kanievel attempted to jump in a Rocket propelled cycle. His Craft technically made it across but the parachute deployed prematurely, blowing him back into the canyon short of the north rim.The Perrine Bridge Stretches 1500 feet across the Snake River. It opened in 1976. It is popular for base jumpers from around the world seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush. One of the only structures in the US where you can base jump without a permit. Now lets head to the High Country on route 55 a very scenic drive along the Payette River. The Payette River popular for Tubing & Rafters, is a 82 mile long river which originates at Salmon River Mountains at elevations of over 10,000 feet and feeds into the Snake River so provides so pretty decent rapids.McCall is a nice cozy resort town on the southern shore of Payette Lake. A great place to stay. They have a super 8, that is one of the better super 8s I've been too, pet friendly, we did a review video here if you would like to check it.The most scenic way into Cordalane is to take Rt 3 to Rt 97 which runs along the east shore of Lake Cordalane the Lake scenery with a variety of tall Pines, & Spruces, is just unbeatable.You know you are officially in the North West when you see sea planes tied up on the docks. Coeurdalane is known for its water sports and trails in the Canfield Mountains & Cordalen National forests. We’ll talk about that and soooo much more! So grab your hiking boots - we’re going to unbox the beautiful but slowly becoming crowded and expensive state of Idaho!
Uh look at that. Another housing development going in. What do you know? Everybody wants to live in Idaho right now. All these darn out of staters are coming here by the busload these days. What was once farmland and forest is being turned into track homes and strip malls. Locals miss the days when they knew everyone in town, when getting up into the mountains took no time at all. Heck, just getting to Albertsons takes 30 minutes now. But, everything’s bound to change one day, I guess.
But Idaho isn’t ALL becoming housing developments and condos and overcrowded schools and crammed roads. Not at all. At least not yet. There’s still room here. After all, it is a pretty big state. And, despite what you may have heard, there’s kind of a lot goin on here. If you’re thinking of moving here, you should get a well rounded perspective on the entire state, so you know what to expect, and where the perfect place for you is.
This is Idaho. Now a good rule of thumb is - if you live in the northern part of the state you live IN the forest. If you live in the southern part of the state you live in a valley or desert, probably very close to farmland. Much of the state is public land, most of that large forested areas or desert. In fact, two thirds of Idaho is protected.
You can break Idaho up into 7 different areas, generally. We’ll begin way up here in northern Idaho, which includes everything from kinda of around here north all the way up the panhandle to the Canadian border. This is a different breed.

Murphy, Idaho
Murphy is an unincorporated census-designated place in Owyhee County, Idaho, United States. The county seat of Owyhee County, it is among the smallest county seats nationwide. As of the 2010 census, its population was 97. Murphy is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Murphy was formed around a railhead of the Boise, Nampa and Owyhee Railroad built in 1899. The town succeeded Silver City (in the Owyhee Mountains) as county seat in 1934, and the railroad operated until 1947. Murphy is the home of the Owyhee County Historical Museum and Library.
The community was named after Cornelius "Con" Murphy, a crew boss with the Boise, Nampa and Owyhee Railroad.
Geography
Murphy is located at 43°13′06″N 116°33′08″W / 43.21833°N 116.55222°W / 43.21833; -116.55222, at an elevation of 2,820 feet (860 m) above sea level; it is 25 miles (40 km) south of Nampa.
Airstrip
Murphy's airstrip is situated immediately northeast of the community, without a control tower. Its 2,500-foot (760 m) asphalt runway is oriented NW-SE (12/30), parallel with State Highway 78. The elevation drops 60 feet (18 m) in the northwest (30) direction, from 2,855 to 2,795 feet.

Lyda seemed to have a love for money...especially insurance money....that and flypaper. After numerous deaths, they raised suspicion of Lyda and began to investigate. Looks like Lyda wouldn't be able to get away with murder.

Dr. John Matthias is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with twenty-five years’ experience in both clinical and forensic work. He has performed over 500 forensic and psychological evaluations and risk assessments for the courts since 1996, assessing the risks for violent and sexual recidivism for both adults and juveniles. He serves as an expert witness for the federal government and he has consulted on numerous high-profile cases for District Attorney’s offices and defense attorneys in several states. He is a certified court evaluator in several Western states, and he has forensic evaluation contracts with the federal government. He recently started a podcast, Hidden: A True Crime Podcast, with his journalist wife, Lauren, to present forensic psychology to a broad audience. The current season of the podcast explores the psychological dynamics behind the Vallow/Daybell case.
In the forensic area, Dr. Matthias has developed expertise in personality assessments, hidden behavioral motivations, complex trauma and criminal psychology. In the clinical realm, he has worked with numerous victims of abuse and trauma, including with survivors of the Las Vegas shooting massacre in 2017. He also received his Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child counseling from the University of Southern California and he has worked with hundreds of families, couples and children over the years. He supervises UNLV doctoral students on forensic assessments, clinical case formulation, and various therapeutic approaches to clinical work.
Dr. Matthias graduated with honors in philosophy from Princeton University, and won the prestigious McCosh Thesis prize while there. In high school he graduated valedictorian from a large public high school in Chicago where he was chosen to participate in a ground-breaking valedictory study that continues to this day. He received his doctorate from the University of Southern California.
Lauren Matthias has worked as an anchor and reporter for ABC, NBC, and FOX News in East Idaho, Boise, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent a decade reporting on a diverse range of topics from high profile crimes to Presidential visits. Most recently, she reported for Salt Lake City’s ABC affiliate News4Utah. In 2015 she received the Idaho State Broadcaster’s Association Best Reporter award in addition to receiving the best report of the year in 2015 based upon a short documentary she did on LGBTQ rights. She was hired by Milwaukee’s ABC affiliate to be their lead reporter in 2015. She recently left the reporting world to stay home with her son and to produce and edit, Hidden: A True Crime Podcast. She currently works as the executive producer of the Hidden podcast .
