The 20th parallel north is a circle of latitude that is 20 degrees north of the Earth's equatorial plane. It crosses Africa, Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, North America, the Caribbean and the Atlantic Ocean.

The parallel defines part of the border between Libya and Sudan, and within Sudan it defines the border between the Northern and North Darfur states.

At this latitude the sun is visible for 13 hours, 21 minutes during the summer solstice and 10 hours, 55 minutes during the winter solstice.

The Korean War (Korean: 한국전쟁 or 조선전쟁, Hanja: 韓國戰爭 or 朝鮮戰爭; 25 June 1950 – 27 July 1953) was a war between the Republic of Korea (supported primarily by the United States of America, with contributions from allied nations under the aegis of the United Nations) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (supported by the People's Republic of China, with military and material aid from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). The Korean War was primarily the result of the political division of Korea by an agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War II. The Korean Peninsula was ruled by the Empire of Japan from 1910 until the end of World War II. Following the surrender of the Empire of Japan in September 1945, American administrators divided the peninsula along the 38th parallel, with U.S. military forces occupying the southern half and Soviet military forces occupying the northern half.

Carl Zimmerman (born November 15, 1929) is an American producer and agent.

Zimmerman was born in Brooklyn, New York. The son of Esther Schwartz, a school teacher and Julius Zimmerman, a talent agent. When he turned 19 years old he went to work for his father as an assistant before opening his own agency in 1951. He began to produce theatre in the Summer of 1960 while still working as an agent.

Zimmerman started out producing small scale tours before touring The Oscar Wilde Trilogy on a number one American tour. It ran for 9 months and was the very first of its kind and went onto play to number one venues and to packed houses. In the summer of 1972 Zimmerman launched Shakespeare's loves. A large scale tour that played Shakespeare plays in rep over a series of four evenings which after its American success transferred to an Australian tour in 1975. When after 13 years of touring large scale productions in America in 1985 he went back to becoming a full time agent, while working as a co producer on European productions of classic plays such as The Seagull, The Cherry Orchard and The Bear all winners of the Critics Drama Desk Award. He is recipient of a number in international prizes for his work and dedication to the Theatre, Film and Television industry. In 2008 he received the Life Time Merit Award at Radio City New York.
