Auburn hires former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl
Auburn hires former Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl Auburn has hired former Tennessee coach and current ESPN analyst Bruce Pearl to be its next men's basketball coach. The school announced the hire Tuesday morning, less than a week after firing Tony Barbee. Pearl coached at Tennessee from 2005-2011, making the NCAA tournament each season, before being fired amid NCAA violations. He is still serving a three-year show-cause penalty that expires in late August. PREVIOUSLY: Behind-the-scenes with Bruce Pearl at ESPN NCAA TOURNEY TIP SHEET: Everything March Madness Pearl previously told USA TODAY Sports last month that he wasn't sure he'd get back into coaching, but he was "working hard to put myself in position if the opportunity presented itself." And it did, quickly at Auburn. "I'm humbled and blessed to be back in the game that I love," Pearl said in a statement. "I don't know how long it will take, but it's time to rebuild the Auburn basketball program, and bring it to a level of excellence so many of the other teams on campus enjoy." At Tennessee, Pearl went 141-61 and was a two-time SEC coach of the year. "From the moment I met Coach Pearl and heard his vision for our basketball program, it was clear he's the right man at the right time for Auburn," Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said. "Coach Pearl is a proven winner who will bring energy and excitement to our program. We have raised the bar for Auburn basketball, and I could not be more excited for our student-athletes and our future under Coach Pearl's leadership. I know he agrees with me — it's time to win."- published: 19 Mar 2014

Tennessee 4th Amendment Protection Act Taking on NSA Encryption Center
Appalachia is the cultural region in the Eastern United States that stretches from the Southern Tier of New York State to Northern Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. Historically the center of the first rebellions of the new American Nation, the people of Appalachia are strong willed and determined to effect modern change. Appalachian Area News is a pro-liberty aggregator of important everyday events in the region. We maintain no religious or political affiliations and do not seek to promote any particular ideology save TRUTH, LIBERTY, AND FREEDOM! http://appalachianareanews.com/ Appalachian Area News is dedicated to the progression of knowledge and ideals through the communication of Pro-Liberty commentary on important current events in the area. The Appalachian Mountain Region is home on the most notoriously rebellious, pro liberty individuals in the country. Contrary to popular belief, the people of Appalachia are among the most loving, kind, and tolerant people in America. With a natural rugged individualism and healthy distrust of Government it has been in this region that the seeds of almost every popular revolutionary anti-authoritarian movement in the nations history have been sewn including the abolitionist movements against slavery before the Civil War. To stress the point once more, WE ARE NOT REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS. It is important to understand that the March Of Tyranny is made with BOTH a LEFT AND A RIGHT FOOT. This late in the game it is hard for any rational person to imagine how any sort of party loyalism can still exist in this country for it is painfully and factually obvious to all of us that are truly paying attention that BOTH major parties in the United States are completely bought and paid for by the exact same corrupt financial elements and oligarchs and continually further the exact same totalitarian agenda. It is more understandable and appropriate however to hold traditional liberal or conservative philosophical ideals or to be 'anti-party establishment' like pro 'Tea Party' on the Right or part of The 'Occupy' Movements on the Left. Still though, even these political permutations rely on establishment moneys and particularly as in the case of the Occupy movement is very susceptible to High Level manipulations. If Appalachian Area News had to conform in order to elaborate on any political holdings, rather than identify as political atheists we will simply distinguish as being socially liberal and fiscally conservative philosophical libertarians to avoid giving the reader any facetious faculty. In a simpler notion however, we would like to state that THERE IS ONLY LIBERTY/FREEDOM AND THEN THERE IS EVERYTHING ELSE. We are committed to enlightening the residents of Appalachia and every where else about the news and politics in our area that matters the MOST to our daily lives as individuals. As government gets bigger and bigger and personal liberties and freedoms get smaller and smaller, it will be to strong no nonsense people of Appalachia that the nation must look towards to turn things around. Sadly however, like most of the nation most Appalachian people have been scientifically and systematically dumbed down, distracted, and indoctrinated to recognize Government as both necessary and legitimate instead of the violent entity it truly is which relies on a monopoly of force and coercion to rob and steal our children's economic futures. It is the MISSION of Appalachian Area News to bring the public of Appalachia and the nation news that does not express propaganda sponsored by big government or big corporations in order to further private agendas but news that furthers the agenda of LIBERTY AND FREEDOM.- published: 23 Jan 2014

Tennessee Daughter Kills Mother Satanic Death Ritual or WW3 Warning by Illuminati?
Tennessee Daughter Kills Mother Satanic Death Ritual or WW3 Warning by Illuminati?
The levels of detail of this news story are so entwined and complex, that most will just write it off as a simple murder of a crazy daughter. Those who use the news media to inform "their people" reverse the story with "actors" in order to send their messages both subliminally to the masses, and directly to those in the "know". Further research will show who the real victim of this crime is. We will never hear that "true" story... we never do. Could this have been a story to inform those in certain circles (pun intended) that the plan of "nuculear" holocaust is actually "on"? When the masses understand the true depth of Satan's plan, and that we are literally on the brink of a nuclear war now, most won't believe it. Save your soul. Nothing else matters. Turn from sin. Love those who want to kill you. Even Jesus had to die to ascend into heaven. Don't give Satan the satisfaction, by dieing in fear. This is what they want. Love is the enemy of hate and fear. Pray the Rosary all three decades (Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious) daily. Prepare your soul for our Father through Jesus Christ. Live in love. Peace. Links:- published: 10 Mar 2014

Tennessee Virtual Academy Facing Tough Questions about Student Achievement And Costs
Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.Nashville, Tenn--There are big questions about your money being spent on the Tennessee Virtual Academy. Students have scored below average the last two years on standardized testing. But millions of taxpayer dollars are still funding the program.K-12 Incorporated founded the Virtual Academy in 1999 and has operated the Tennessee school through Union County for three years. It provides students with educational materials delivered to their homes, allowing them to complete their work over the computer.K-12 says in the state's first year, funding reached $7.5 million from the basic education program alone. The per-pupil expenditure is about $7,000, with about 3000 currently enrolled. According to K12, the BEP funding only covers about $4,700 of expenses. Therefore, K12 covers the rest to avoid cutting services, programs and teachers. The school does not receive Title 1(low-income) or Title 4 (special education) funding, despite enrolling students in both categories. K12 says TNVA is one of the lowest funded schools in the state. The Department of Education's 2013 report card states that Tennessee Virtual Academy students scored below average on the same standardized tests taken by traditional students.State Lawmaker Mike Stewart backed legislation last year, giving the education commission power to close the school after three years of insufficient progress.Stewart says , This is a creature of the current administration, wasting millions of taxpayer dollars. It would be a bad program, what's sad is that it's wasting the education of a number of young people. But K-12 southern region deputy vice president, Megan Henry, says the group is working to improve test scores through data, administrative support and instruction with more mandatory live sessions.Megan Henry says, Students who we are getting at these schools, many of them are coming in academically behind. It's going to take a little bit of time to get them back to grade level. This year in Tennessee with some targeted effort we will show growth. This is a new model of education and we need to allow some time to let this work. According to the adequate yearly progress reports in 2011, nationwide K-12 only met standard at a little more than 27 percent of their schools. More than 50 percent of all public schools in the US met that standard.- published: 02 Feb 2014
