Picnic on the hill
April 11th, 2013Last week I was very lucky to spend a week in Turkey; the relief to get away from the snow and Siberian winds was more than welcome. One of the days we walked up to Ataturk’s statue which overlooks Kusadasi, something we’ve never done before and despite the mad climb, and I mean climb, it really is on the list to do again. The view was amazing and having only been to Kusadasi in the height of the summer it was wonderful to see oranges ripen on trees and flowers everywhere. At the top of the hill there is a beautiful summer meadow of flowers and the day we were there a family were having a picnic and singing and dancing. So next time we’re having a picnic.
