Can I place an ad if I live outside of Australia?
You can place an ad from anywhere in the world however ads placed must be for vehicles that are located in Australia. We ask you simply to be aware of the laws regarding advertising vehicles in Australia. -
My vehicle is imported; can I still advertise it?
Yes you can still advertise your vehicle for sale.
If your vehicle isn’t already displayed in the vehicle detail drop down, simply click on the ‘I can't find my vehicle' link or contact customer support.

I cannot finish placing my ad, can I save what I have done and come back later?
Yes you can, as you go through the ad placement process, you will come across a ‘Save and Finish Later’ – bottom left hand side. You can use this button to save your ad and log back anytime to make edits. -
I am a car dealer, can I advertise my cars via this service?
The ‘Sell your Car’ have been designed for private advertisers only; therefore dealers cannot use the service to place ads.
However, Drive.com.au offers many packages designed specifically for dealers. Please email us for more information.

Is there a limit to how big my website ad can be?
There is no limit on the size of the ad, so you can enter as much detail as you wish. -
How long does it take to appear on the website?
All ads go through a review process to keep our customers safe from fraud. Your new ad or changes to an existing ad will be published on Drive within 2 business days.

Can I edit my ad once it is live?
You can edit your website ad at any time by logging into your account. Select the ‘Edit’ option next to the ad you want to change.
Note: You cannot change key data including: make, model, year and registration

How do I remove my website ad?
You can remove your website ad at any time by logging into your account. Select the ‘Remove’ option next to the ad you want to remove and follow the prompts. -
Can I find out how many people have viewed my website ad?
When logged into your account, click on the ‘View Stats’ link next to the ad that you want to check. This will display how many people have viewed your ad and the number of emails you have received. -
Do I have to display my personal details in the ad?
You can select not to show your name by not filling in the First Name box in the Place an Ad page.
Potential buyers will also be able to send you an email via a form. However to protect your privacy (and you being spammed with unsolicited emails) your email address will not be visible on the screen.

Drive.com.au supports the most recent versions of the following browsers:- Internet Explorer (version 7 or higher)

How can I pay for my ad?
Credit Cards are the only payment method accepted by Drive.com.au. -
Site security
Drive uses all reasonable endeavours to maintain a high-level of security in relation to your credit card details and transactions processed using your credit card. -
Payment confirmation
You will receive on-screen confirmation once payment has been made. We will also email you a confirmation of payment. -
Is my identity protected?
Drive.com.au will not publish your personal details online; we will provide potential users with an email form only. Personal information, such as your name, will not appear in your ad unless you enter it manually.
The information provided to create your Fairfax Media account will not be published online and Fairfax Media will not sell, trade, give or rent any personally identifiable information obtained by you to a third party unless you consent.

Can I change my billing details?
You can change your billing details by clicking on "My Account" and making the necessary changes. -
I have entered both my street address and postal address – where will my tax receipt be sent to?
If you have entered a postal address it will be sent there.

How do I get a username and password (set up an account)?
When placing an ad for the first time you will be prompted to enter an email address and password. You can then continue creating your ad. -
Can I change my username and password?
You will need to login to the Fairfax member centre to update your membership details. Visit our Member Centre -
Why do I have to join Fairfax Media to place an ad?
Fairfax Media membership ensures that the detail of your advertisements and billing information is kept secure. You can manage your account only by logging in with your username and password. You will need to login to the Fairfax member centre to update your membership details. Visit our Member Centre. -
I am trying to register, but every Account Login I try has already been taken?
Your username needs to be an email address. If it has already been taken then it is probable that you already have an account with us. If you can’t remember your password we can help you gain access to your account. Have you forgotten your password? -
I am a member but it will not accept my password?
Please note that the password is case sensitive. Have you forgotten your password?
