Charter TV Tutorial
Did you know setting up your Charter TV can be as easy as watching it? In fact, you can do it yourself. Here's how. Getting started. Open your Charter Digital TV Home Shipment Self-Install Kit. Inside you'll find an instruction sheet and welcome packet. Just under them on the left, you'll see a digital set-top box. On the right, you'll find your remote and cables. Now let's get you connected. First, connect one end of your coax cable to the "cable in" port on the back of your digital set-top box and the other end into the cable outlet on your wall. Then, plug in the power cord to your digital set-top box and the other end into the wall. Connecting your HDTV. If the available input on the back of your HDTV resembles this, then use the cable that looks like this. Plug one end into the input on the back of your TV and the other end into the back of your digital set-top box. Or, if the available input on the back of your HDTV resembles these five ports, then use the cable that looks like this. Plug one end into the inputs on the back of your TV and the other end into the back of your digital set-top box, while making sure to match the colors on your cables to the colors on the input ports. You will only need to connect one of these types of cables between your TV and your digital set-top box, either the HDMI or the component cables, but not both. The HDMI is the first preference and the component is the second preference. Make sure the cables are fit snugly to each end and that all the connections are tight to ensure good picture quality. Next, use the remote that came with your TV to change the "input" or "source" setting on the TV to the proper HDMI or component source, depending on which connection you selected. Connecting your Standard Definition TV. If you have a Standard Definition TV and the inputs on the back of your TV resemble this, then use the cable that looks like this, and plug one end into the input on the back of your TV and the other end into the back of your digital set-top box, ensuring tight connections on both ends. Then, use the remote that came with your TV to change the "input' or "source" setting on the TV to the proper audio/video source. Or, if you have a Standard Definition TV and the inputs on the back of your TV resemble this, then use the cable that looks like this. Plug one end into the inputs on the back of your TV and the other end in the back of your digital set-top box, ensuring a "finger tight" connection on either end. Next, use the remote that came with your TV to change the "input" or "source" setting on the TV to "TV" and put the TV on Channel 3 or 4. You will only need to connect one of these types of cables between your TV and digital set-top box, either the composite cable or the coax cable, but not both. Now you're connected. Synching your remote to your TV. To ensure that your Charter remote can operate with your TV, visit Charter.com/remotes and follow the instructions for syncing your Charter TV self- install home shipment remote. Or, refer to the instructions that came with your kit. Activating your Charter TV. Now you're ready to activate your Charter TV. Make sure all of your digital set-top boxes are connected and powered on. Then simply call 877-764-4054. Follow the prompts and please stay on the line until TV programming appears. This may take a few moments, so please be patient. If you have any issues during this process an advisor will be able to assist you. Enjoy your Charter TV. Fun with Extreme Slow Shutter in Currumbin Valley
At the end of Currumbin Valley there is a National Park with paved walkways to boardwalks and lookouts to waterfalls and rock pools.
I went up there to get a few shots and ran into a couple of mud clad hikers. They said, "jump that fence and follow the river for about an hour and a bit. It's amazing. you'll get good shots there! And by the way there is no track."
I thought, what the hell, and set off. Two hours later my ankles were covered in leeches, my boots full of water, and I discovered a miller tripod makes for a good walking stick. But at the end, I discovered a truly magical spot. So thanks to those hikers. I got to shoot for over an hour - in the middle of nowhere - miles from anyone or anywhere. Fantastic.
Shot on Sony EX1. Tried every setting in the book. Shot on 2 ND's with Extreme Slow Shutter - for kicks. All colours shot in camera. Music is 'saltwater' by the very talented Chicane: www.chicanemusic.com
