CRNKN – an outstanding story
The 21 year old electronic music producer Gabe Baer (CRNKN) has a unique story to tell. After spending all of his money in a backpacking trip organized after dropping out of college, Gabe was bored at home, looking for a “new hobby to learn”. Browsing the internet on a random day, he claims to have “stumbled upon the whole production thing”, and loved it! Baer simply downloaded Ableton online and started producing. Only one year after that, CRNKN became one of the leading artists for Trap music, and received support from major artists such as Flosstradamus, Baauer, and many others. In this same amount of time, his remix of “No hands” by Waka Floka became (at the time) All Trap Music‘s most played song. Check it out!

the interview show: the pains of being pure at heart
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart might be the BEST name EVER for an indie band. I talk with Kip (the man behind tPoBPaH) about everything from the group’s new record Days of Abandon to his love of the Smashing Pumpkins to why he needs to make puns so much to whether or not he did it doggy-style in the sex act that inspired “Young Adult Friction.” (Yeah I ask.) Listen to our chat!

We’re all glad that summer is finally here and this track is perfect to get you ready for those long summer night vibes. StéLouse from Denver does a refreshing flip to TLC’s single “No Scrubs” from their 1999 album Fan Mail. Mon Diamant Music
This fast growing music channel from Paris uploads the most recent and soothing songs from all over the world. Featuring numerous underground artists, Mon Diamant has playlists for deep house, hip hop, funky summer tracks, and their self-acclaimed “bass-driven tracks”. Follow it on youtube, soundcloud, and facebook and get a selection of quality music delivered to wherever you find best.
After an interview with Adrien Dominé (one of Mon Diamant’s founders), we learnt that Mon Diamant is aiming to be a channel that focuses on quality rather than quantity. As explained during the interview, “Channels now-a-days post too many songs in order to gain popularity. Sites like Majestic Casual upload so many songs that it’s impossible for them all to be good. MD is aiming to change that format, and upload only the content we know our followers will appreciate”.

Tinashe – Days In The West (Ekali Remix)
Vancouver is slowly but surely making a sound for it’s self, nothing specific that we can put our finger on quite yet but artists are growing and sounds are developing which only makes posting on Winnie Cooper that much sweeter. One of the cats that has gotten our attention is Ekali, his previous work was good but in the last month he has released some out standing material. Remixing Tinashe’s cover of Drake’s “Days In The West” isn’t a regular song for someone to remix, Ekali gives the song the much needed bass it was missing. This is a great take on a beautiful cover, stream or download above!

Robin Carnage & PRINCEP – YSL
Ten-A-Key’s/Vancity’s Robin Carnage has been busy with some different material than what he’s known for giving us this new jam “YSL” with PRINCEP also from Tennessee. The slow, emotional and heavy sound that Carnage is known for is still there but this new track gives us a new side to his sound having PRINCEP flow nicely over his production. If ya didn’t know Robin, he’s been featured on Winnie Cooper quite a few times . We’ve dug his style from the get go having also produced for Baltimore’s Black Zheep DZ on “Whachu Sayin’” & “Naughty By Nature“. The cat is about to drop his own project called the “Odes EP” which includes previous released remixes of different artists including Young Buck, G-Unit, Ca$h Out and some unreleased ones. Keep an eye out for this because it’s a different, unique and a great take on some classics. Stream or download above!
