Carlos Sainz Cenamor (born April 12, 1962 in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish rally driver. He won the World Rally Championship drivers' title with Toyota in 1990 and 1992, and finished runner-up four times. Constructors' world champions to have benefited from Sainz are Subaru (1995), Toyota (1999) and Citroën (2003, 2004 and 2005).

Nicknamed El Matador, Sainz holds the WRC record for most career starts. He was also the first driver not from Scandinavia or Finland to win the 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland, and finished the Swedish Rally second four times and third twice, in this case without ever breaking the trend. Besides WRC successes, he has won the Dakar Rally (2010), the Race of Champions (1997) and the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship (1990). His co-drivers were Antonio Boto, Luís Moya and Marc Martí.

His son, Carlos Sainz, Jr., born in September 1994, won the 2009 Junior Monaco Kart Cup and began a professional formula racing career.

Sainz began rallying in 1980, and won the Spanish Rally Championship with a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth in 1987 and 1988. He first appeared in the World Rally Championship with Ford during the 1987 season, finishing seventh at the Tour de Corse and eighth at the RAC Rally. The following season, he finished fifth twice; at the Tour de Corse and at the Rallye Sanremo. Sainz then left Ford to join the Toyota Team Europe, the Japanese marque's rallying arm operating in Cologne, Germany.

Luis Rodríguez Moya, better known as Luis Moya (born 23 September 1960 in La Coruña, Spain) is a now-retired rally co-driver, synonymous with the driver Carlos Sainz. He is the second co-pilot with more victories in the history of the WRC, after Daniel Elena.

Only ever navigating at World Rally Championship level for his compatriot, 1990 and 1992 Drivers' Champion Sainz, he scored 24 world rally victories throughout his career for marques such as Subaru, Toyota and Ford, which lasted until he left the latter team at the end of the 2002 season. He was replaced at Sainz's new team, Citroën, for the full 2003 and 2004 seasons (as well as two rallies in the 2005 season) by another Spaniard, Marc Martí, former co-driver of 2001 Tour de Corse winner, Jesús Puras (and who went on to co-drive the 2005 Junior World Rally Champion and subsequent works driver for Citroën, Sainz protégé Daniel Sordo).

Moya's long-standing record of individual wins has since been surpassed by Sébastien Loeb's co-driver Daniel Elena and Marcus Grönholm's co-driver Timo Rautiainen.

Miguel Contreras (September 17, 1952 – May 6, 2005) was an American labor union leader. He "was known as a king-maker for both local and state politicians." Contreras was born in Dinuba, a city in California's agricultural Central Valley, to farmworker parents who had immigrated from Mexico during the 1920s under the Bracero Program.

After meeting Cesar Chávez at a rally for Robert Kennedy in the late 1960s, he became an activist for the United Farm Workers. He promoted the Delano Grape Boycott in Toronto, and organized lettuce workers in Salinas. He later led San Francisco hotel workers on a month-long strike. He was recruited by the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union, who made him a national organizer in Los Angeles. A contest over the leadership of the union's Local 11 led another labor leader, Maria Elena Durazo, to protest his involvement in the dispute. Durazo and Contreras later resolved their differences, and were married in 1988. The couple had two sons, Michael and Mario.

Carlos Sainz, Jr (born September 1, 1994 in Madrid) is a Spanish racing driver and the son of former World Rally Champion Carlos Sainz. Backed by energy drinks company Red Bull, Sainz Jr will race in British F3 for multiple champions Carlin in 2012.

Sainz began his career in karting. In 2008 he won the Asia-Pacific KF3 title, as well as finishing runner-up in the Spanish Championship. In 2009 he won the prestigious Junior Monaco Kart Cup, and was runner-up in the European KF3 Championship.

Sainz will step up to Formula BMW Europe in 2010 with the EuroInternational team. He will also be part of the Red Bull Junior Team programme. He made his Formula BMW début during a guest drive in the Formula BMW Pacific series at Sepang, finishing second and fourth in the two races.

Sainz is also competing in the UK Formula Renault Winter Cup, finishing 6th in the first race and retiring from the second race from Snetterton, with more races to come from Pembrey.
