A conversation with 98-year-old former New York Yankees pitcher Art Schallock.

My Lou: Cardinals fan expresses his love of baseball through art
There is certainly a love of the sports teams in St Louis. James Kimball is deeply devoted to the Cardinals.
“Eighty percent of the decision why I wanted to move to St Louis is just so I could be close to my Cardinals,” he told 5 On Your Side.
He jokes with his wife about his loyalty. “I told my wife, one day you could leave me. I still have baseball."
He hoped his son would be born at Busch Stadium. “So. We were kind of hoping for that. You have a kid at the stadium that’s going to get, that’s going to be ESPN top 10,” he said.
Kimball’s son Ozzie wasn’t born at the stadium. But he is named after Cardinals Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith.

The 74 Oldest Mlb Legends Still Alive Today 👑
It seems like the oldest living baseball players have been around forever. All of the former MLB players who are 90 or older right now have gone on to many things outside their baseball careers, though many have stuck around the game as managers and scouts and commentators. Some of these players made their Major League debuts as far back as World War II.
The list of oldest baseball players includes a number of Hall of Famers, like Tommy Lasorda, and other legends whose great accomplishments have followed them their whole lives. All of these men are part of a select club of former players who have lived into their 90s and are still with us.
Val Heim, at age 99, is the oldest living ex-ballplayer, and he made his final appearance in the majors in 1942. Others like Roy Face and Al Worthington...
