The Christian cross, seen as a representation of the instrument of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, is the best-known religious symbol of Christianity. It is related to the crucifix (a cross that includes a usually three-dimensional representation of Jesus' body) and to the more general family of cross symbols.

The cross-shaped sign, represented in its simplest form by a crossing of two lines at right angles, greatly antedates, in both East and West, the introduction of Christianity. It goes back to a very remote period of human civilization. It is supposed to have been used not just for its ornamental value, but also with religious significance.

Some have sought to attach to the widespread use of this sign, in particular in its swastika form, a real ethnographic importance. It may have represented the apparatus used in kindling fire, and thus as the symbol of sacred fire or as a symbol of the sun, denoting its daily rotation. It has also been interpreted as the mystic representation of lightning or of the god of the tempest, and even the emblem of the Aryan pantheon and the primitive Aryan civilization.

Todd Wright (born in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American sports radio personality. He was most recently the host of Todd Wright Tonight on Yahoo Sports Radio, which debuted on Monday, June 12, 2006, running through February 3, 2012.

He was previously the host of ESPN Radio's AllNight with Todd Wright, and was a part of ESPN Radio from 1996 to 2005. Wright was also the public address voice of the New York Yankees' spring training camp in Tampa, Florida and their minor league affiliate the Tampa Yankees between 1996 and 1998.

Wright can be seen on Sun Sports, a cable network in Florida and heard on the PGA Tour Network's radio golf broadcasts. He also frequently writes columns for Pro Football Weekly and blogs for the Tampa Bay Lightning on their official website. Wright has also hosted the Steve Duemig show when Duemig is on vacation on 620 WDAE in Tampa.

During Wright's time with ESPN Radio, he bucked a number of conventions held by other hosts, including giving the call-in number as "1-888-RAW-ESPN" where all other hosts gave out "1-888-SAY-ESPN". He was also adamant that his picture not be put on any ESPN websites, telling listeners that radio was meant to be a theater of the mind and that it really didn't matter what he looked like.^{[citation needed]} He has since allowed his picture to be posted online.
