It is lauding the emergence of a "moderate" like Hassan Rouhani as Iran's new president. It is offering an olive branch to Rouhani, actively opening the door to many more months of diplomatic negotiations. It is doing so even though the Ayatollah Khamenei -- the true power in Iran -- has shown no sign he is willing to back down from pursuing The Bomb, and even though Rouhani's claim to fame was that as Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, he fooled the world into believing that Iran was not advancing its nuclear program from 2003 to 2005 when the truth was Iran was, in fact, aggressively building its nuclear capacities. "We are ready to engage in serious and substantial talks without wasting time," Rouhani said Wednesday, urging the West to focus on "talks, not threats." Netanyahu, however, is not buying it. He is making the case that only intense and immediate pressure -- much harsher economic sanctions, plus clear evidence of a serious and looming military option -- has even the remotest hope of persuading Iran that the time for diplomatic games is over. Iran deal alienate Israel - New Current News Like Subscribe & Share For More Videos Subscribe To - New Current News http://goo.gl/EEEmnj - Iran deal alienate Israel SUBSCRIBE to New Current News might see israel defy the united states? well, ink it's ultimately clear that in the conversation about iran israel and the united states are clearly on the same side. we both agree that the issue at hand is the prevention of iran's nuclear program rather than its containment. so at the end of the day israel and the united states have worked closely and will continue to work closely on this issue together with the international community. we do have our opinion about the interim opinion that was signed four days ago. we think that this agreement is insufficient simply because of the fact that it does not address the core issue of iran's motivation of the very nature of this regime. i think it would be appropriate to compare this to a situation where you take a pyromaniac and you limit his or her access to fire by 80%, but they can still inflict harm with the remaining 20%, an hopefully the permanent agreement that will be negotiated soon will deprive iran of the remainder of the remaining 20%. i'm not sure i agree with you when you say israel and the u.s. are on the same page in terms of prevention. i get the sense from this administration that they are thinking about containment. here is the difference. we believe that preventing iran from making one bomb or enriching enough uranium to produce one bomb is not enough. we believe that what needs to be done is for the entire international community to recognize that the problem is very capability of iran to enrich uranium, albeit at a lower level. this is what the interim agreement does. the interim agreement is allowing iran. right. iran will have enough uranium to produce one bomb. the problem is the very capability, the very technology that allows them to enrich uranium. it doesn't matter which level. Some shots I did in Iran a few years back on "The History of Football" a 13 x 1 hour TV series for Freemantle Media, all shot on DigiBeta unfortunately.
Whilst filming the scene of the "large mural of soldiers with traffic in the foreground" a secret police vehicle spotted us and we were arrested. We were interrogated and held for six hours while they made their checks to make sure we weren't spies. Despite the unpleasant experience it didn't change my feelings for the country and its people, some of the friendliest and hospitable on this planet.

August 2013 Breaking News Israel is preparing for war.- Netanyahu warned now or never for military strike on Iran - Last days End Times News Update 8-12-13 Tzachi Hanegbi -- a close, trusted, long-time personal friend and confidante of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu -- made remarks on Tuesday at a security conference in Tel Aviv that did not make news in the U.S. But they should have. Hanegbi explained that the time for sanctions and diplomacy and covert options to neutralize the Iranian nuclear threat is over, and the time for Israel to use it's military option has come. "It's now or never," said Hanegbi, "and the option of never does not exist." Hanegbi formerly served as the Minister of Intelligence and as Justice Minister in previous governments. He is currently a Member of Knesset (Likud). "Israel has to act according to its own imperatives," he said. Given how close Hanegbi and Netanyahu are -- and given how sensitive the current moment is -- it is difficult to believe Hanegbi spoke without knowing the Prime Minister's mind, and without having his blessing to make such ominous remarks. Consider other indicators that an Israeli first strike may be increasingly close at hand: At the same conference, Israeli Major Gen. (res.) Amos Yadlin, a former head of IDF Military Intelligence, said that "for all intents and purposes, Iran has crossed Israel's red line...in the summer, Iran will be a month or two away from deciding about a bomb." Netanyahu and his inner circle are watching how Iran has been accelerating its building of uranium centrifuges, expanding its nuclear facilities, and possibly building secret new facilities. President Obama is doing nothing after the Assad regime in Syria crossed the Obama "red line" by using chemical weapons against the rebels, killing and wounding many. Are they concluding the White House is serious about dealing with Iran if and when Tehran crosses the "red line"? Hardly. Netanyahu and his inner circle are watching how President Obama is doing nothing to stop North Korea from building -- and testing -- nuclear warheads and the ballistic missiles to deliver them. Are they concluding the White House is serious about preventing nuclear proliferation? Again, hardly. President Obama has been meeting with his national security team to discuss reports of the Syrian government's use of chemical weapons, a White House official said Saturday, amid strong hints that a U.S. military strike was on the table. Doctors Without Borders Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said Saturday that in the three hours following the alleged attack on Wednesday, three hospitals in Damascus that it supports reported approximately 3,600 patients displaying symptoms consistent with exposure to a neurotoxic agent & 355 reportedly died, the humanitarian group said. We have a range of options available, and we are going to act very deliberately so that we're making decisions consistent with our national interest as well as our assessment of what can advance our objectives in Syria," the White House official, speaking on background, said. Hagel said the Defense Department "has a responsibility to provide the president with options for contingencies, and that requires positioning our forces, positioning our assets, to be able to carry out different options — whatever options the president might choose." Obama, who has shown reluctance to intervene in Syria's 2-1/2-year civil war has said that the use of chemical weapons would be a "red line" for the United States. In June, the White House said it had that killed 100 to 150 Syrians. Angela Kane, the United Nations disarmament chief, arrived in Damascus on Saturday in hopes of persuading the government to allow a team to examine the site of Wednesday's reported attack in Ghouta district, a suburb of the capital. Obama, in an interview with CNN aired on Friday, said the attack was "clearly a big event of grave concern", but he cautioned that U.N. investigators should be given time to determine whether chemical weapons were used. "If the U.S. goes in and attacks another country without a U.N. mandate and without clear evidence that can be presented, then there are questions in terms of whether international law supports it, do we have the coalition to make it work?" the president said in his first public comments since the alleged attack. Syrian state television has suggested rebels are to blame for the attack this week. It said government soldiers "suffocated" as they tried to enter Jobar, one of the towns in the Ghouta district where chemical weapons are said to have been used. That suggestion was echoed by Syria's deputy prime minister, Qadri Jamil, who blamed the rebels. on Friday that he was personally in favor of the U.N. looking into the Ghouta incident. "Medical staff working in these facilities provided detailed information to MSF doctors regarding large numbers of patients arriving with symptoms including convulsions, excess saliva, pinpoint pupils, blurred vision and respiratory distress," said Dr. Bart Janssens, MSF director of operations, said in a statement.- published: 25 Aug 2013
