OTTAWA VACATION: I RODE THE OTRAIN CONFEDERATION LINE Westbound, Rideau Station to Tunney's Pasture
NOT VANCOUVER, THIS IS OTTAWA. This is for the train enthusiast. I was on vacation in Ottawa, Canada's capital. While I was there, I rode the new OC Transpo OTRAIN Confederation Line many times and was very impressed with it. It's clean, fast, convenient, frequent, reliable, comfortable and easy to use. I shot this video on one of my short trips Westbound from Rideau Station to Tunney's Pasture, end of the line. I post it here in case you're curious to see what it's like. I shot more videos of my rides on the Otrain, the whole line, end-to-end. Please let me know in the comments if you would like to see more of them.

OC Transpo O Train Line 1 "Confederation Line": Day 2 of Operations (Sept 15, 2019)
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Ottawa's brand new light rail system, O-Train Line 1 (also known as the "Confederation Line") opened the public for revenue service. Construction began in 2013 and did not complete until 2019, at a cost of $2.13 Billion. The light rail system was officially handed over to the City/OC Transpo from the contractors who built the system, Rideau Transit Group (RTG), on August 23, 2019 (original handover date was in May 2018, with the system opening in June 2018).
The Confederation Line was built by converting the previous Bus Transitway corridor to LRT between Blair Station and Campus Station (now called uOttawa Station), and the Transitway corridor between Lebreton Station (now Pimisi Station) and Tunney's Pasture Station. O-Train Line 1 (Confederation Line), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada | 24/7 Livestream!
Enjoy this all-day, all-weather, all-season livestream of Ottawa's O-Train Line 1 (Confederation Line). This camera is positioned approximately 200metres west of Blair Station, the current eastern terminus of the line.
Using the Alstom Citadis Spirit, Line 1 is the busiest LRT line in North America, carrying up to 180,000 weekday riders. Opened in September 2019, the 12.5 km line replaced the busiest rapid bus transit in North America, reducing GES and road traffic while improving capacity and frequency for all users.
On this live-feed, you can observe the trains approaching and leaving Blair Station, the eastern terminus of O-Train Line 1 (Confederation Line), located less than 200 m east of this camera's position. To the west, the next stop on the line, Cyrville station, is approximate...

Trillium Line (O-Train Line 2) | Ottawa's Regional Light Rail System
More Ottawa videos are here! For this video, we divert our attention to the Trillium Line, Ottawa's first light rail O-Train Line that curiously runs diesel trains and is more comparable to a regional rail/commuter rail service.
With the Confederation Line opening and the two lines interchanging at Bayview, the whole system will definitely get a boost in ridership, and it'll continue to grow with the future Phase 2 extensions!

To the west, the next stop on the line, Cyrville station, is approximately 1,400 m.
Please note that the on-board train ride videos appearing at the top-right of the livestream are pre-recorded and not live.
