Michelle Mulherin (born January 1972) is an Irish Fine Gael politician. She was elected as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Mayo constituency at the 2011 general election. She was elected to Ballina Town Council in 1999 and has also served as a Mayo County Councillor from 2004 until her election to Dáil Éireann in 2011. Mulherin unsuccessfully stood for election in the Mayo constituency at the 2007 general election.

In March 2011, Mulherin criticised the Libyan National Transitional Council during the 2011 Libyan civil war saying that it was an "internal matter" and that "oil was what made Libya 'special' and the external interference from countries such as the US is worrying”. Mulherin was not disciplined for her comments, which dissented against the official Fine Gael policy.

She called on National service to be introduced in order to tackle a "culture of entitlement". The proposal was criticised by a senior member of Fine Gael describing the proposal as not "out of place at a convention of the Tea Party movement in America".

Enda Kenny (born 24 April 1951) is an Irish Fine Gael politician, and has been the Taoiseach since 2011. He has led Fine Gael since 2002. He served as Minister for Tourism and Trade from 1994 to 1997. He is also a two-term Vice President of the European People's Party.

Kenny has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for Mayo since 1975, having succeeded his father Henry Kenny. He is the longest-serving TD currently in Dáil Éireann, which makes him the incumbent Father of the Dáil.

Kenny led Fine Gael in the 2011 general election. He subsequently brokered an agreement with the Labour Party and formed a coalition government on 9 March 2011. He is Fine Gael's first Taoiseach since John Bruton from 1994 to 1997, and the first Fine Gael leader to win government in an election since Garret FitzGerald in 1982.

Enda Kenny was born in the village of Islandeady near Castlebar, County Mayo in 1951, the third child of five. He was educated locally at St. Patrick's National School in Cornanool and St. Gerald's College (De La Salle) in Castlebar. Kenny subsequently attended St Patrick's College of Education in Dublin and University College Galway. He briefly worked as a primary school teacher, and is a Gaeilgeoir.

Bruce Mulherin (born February 3, 1982 in Red Deer, Alberta) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player, currently playing for Tohoku Free Blades after being released by the Manchester Phoenix due to financial problems. Mulherin began his senior level career icing at NCAA level for the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In his first season at UAH, 2002–03, he featured in 22 games although only managed 3 points and 8 penalty minutes. Mulherin's form would improve greatly in his second year in Alabama though, and in the same number of games he scored 24 points, a ratio greater than a point per game.

Mulherin would play for UAH for two more years, 2004–05 and 2005–06, playing on 64 occasions and totalling 74 points in that time. This excellent points-per-game ratio led to Mulherin's signature being picked up by the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL, generally regarded as the third tier of professional ice hockey in North America. Mulherin featured in 30 games, scoring 11 points. A mid-season move to the Toledo Storm followed, also playing in the ECHL. Mulherin would once again find his scoring touch, totalling 28 points in 36 games. This would help the Storm into the post-season race for the Kelly Cup.
