Written when she was still a student, Imogen Holst’s nostalgic 1928 Phantasy Quartet could almost be mistaken for a work by her teacher, Vaughan Williams. Poulenc’s neo-Classical Sextet for wind and piano dates from the following decade and was premiered in Paris in 1940. Another modern take on a much older style of music comes in Thomas Adès’s richly coloured arrangement of François Couperin’s Les baricades mistérieuses.

Beyond the Summit is aiming to create a "behind the scenes" oriented tournament, inspired by TakeTV's Homestory Cup in StarCraft 2, where the fans can see sides of their favorite players that they don't normally get to see. To achieve this the tournament will be held at the BTS House in Los Angeles, where the crew currently live and work. The tournament has a base prize pool of $100,000 with travel support provided for each qualified team. In addition to the base prize pool, 25% of all in-game sales for the tournament will be used to increase the prize pool. Format[edit] Invites One invited team, Evil Geniuses, winner of the first edition. Four teams from the qualifiers, one from America, one from Europe, one from China, and one from Southeast Asia. One team voted in by compendium owners. Group Stage Best of 1 round robin group. Top four teams advance to winner's bracket. Bottom two teams advance to loser's bracket. Top team gets a choice of opponents from third and fourth for the playoffs. Playoffs Best of 3 double elimination bracket. Grand Finals are best of 5 with no winner's bracket advantage.

SHANGHAI, OCT 16: Chinese censors have blocked the website of Britain's national broadcaster, the BBC said in a statement late on Wednesday, coming as tensions rise in Hong Kong between pro-democracy protesters and police. The broadcaster said the move seemed to be "deliberate censorship". It did not say what may have prompted the move by Beijing, which also blocks the websites of the New York Times, newswire Bloomberg and the BBC's Chinese language website. "The BBC strongly condemns any attempts to restrict free access to news and information and we are protesting to the Chinese authorities. This appears to be deliberate censorship," said Peter Horrocks, director of the BBC World Service Group. The BBC's English-language website was still inaccessible in China on Thursday morning. In Hong Kong, police used pepper spray early on Thursday to stop pro-democracy protesters from blocking a major road near the office of the city's embattled leader amid public anger over the police beating a protester a day earlier. Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China. A Chinese official told foreign media in Hong Kong on Wednesday that China has seen interference in the city's pro-democracy protests from outside forces and called on international journalists to report "objectively". Earlier this month a Chinese court issued new rulings clamping down on what "netizens" can say and do online, a reflection of Beijing's desire to influence popular opinion, both online and offline. This is not the first time the BBC has been blocked in China. In 2010, the broadcaster's website was blocked for several days, which coincided with the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony for Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo.

In English, when we want to refer to the average person we can use the name 'Joe Bloggs'. Feifei Ah, I see. So, Joe Bloggs could be any one of us. Finn That's right. Any Tom, Dick or Harry. Feifei Oh! Who are they? Finn This is another expression we use when we want to talk about lots of people in general; nobody in particular: Tom, Dick or Harry. Feifei Ah. I see... SNP's Pete Wishart on Scottish and English devolution

The Parliamentary debate on more powers for the Scottish government was being turned into "unseemly spat" on English votes for English laws, said an SNP MP. Pete Wishart said it was an "inconsequential issue" that Scottish voters did not care about, and MPs should be concentrating on the "solemn vow" from political leaders to Scotland. He told Andrew Neil that Scotland wanted "maximum devolution" in the wake of the independence referendum. On Tuesday afternoon, the Commons is discussing the Scottish independence referendum and pledges of more devolution for Scotland made in the final days of the campaign.
