The Little Rascals (Three Smart Boys)
May 13, 1937 Stars: Sidney Bracey, Nora Cecil, Shirley Coates When they overhear Miss Witherspoon, the school superintendent, say that nothing short of an epidemic will allow the school to be closed for a week, the Our Gang conspire to fake illness. They paint spots on their faces and go to the doctor. Unfortunately they don't realize the doctor they've chosen is a veterinarian. The doctor humors them by inviting Buckwheat into the examining room, but when a monkey emerges they assume the doctor's "monkey serum" has transformed their pal. BMX: Introducting - Shane Cecil
A few months back, a nice guy by the name of Erik Hilburn decided to take over a staple in the Phoenix scene, Kore Bicycles. Since then, Erik has done his best to revitalize the shop and do good things like hooking up a few dudes that absolutely kill it. Shane Cecil is definitely one of those dudes... Check this edit courtesy of Erik and Greg Moliterno and be sure to hit up Korebikes.com if you're in the Phoenix area. "Shane Cecil lays down a solid mix of tech and burly moves on dope set ups in central Arizona for Kore Bikes. Being one of Arizona's favorite locals its good to see him get some shine, be on the look out for more from Shane this year." —Greg Moliterno More videos? Nora Bayes "The Japanese Sandman" Columbia A2997 (1920) LYRICS ARE HERE
Nora Bayes sings "The Japanese Sandman" on Columbia A2997, recorded on August 25, 1920. Words are by Raymond B. Egan (1890-1952). Music is by Richard A. Whiting (1891-1938). Won't you stretch imagination for the moment and come with me? Let us hasten to a nation lying over the western sea Hide behind the cherry blossoms here's a sight that will please your eyes. There's a lady with a baby of Japan singing lullabies Night winds breath her sighs. Here's the Japanese Sandman sneaking on with the dew just an old second hand man. He'll buy your old day from you. He will take every sorrow of the day that is through, and he'll give you tomorrow just to start a life anew. Then you'll be a bit older in the dawn when you wake, and you'll be a bit bolder with the new day you make. Here's the Japanese Sandman--trade him silver for gold. Just an old second hand man trading new days for old.- published: 07 Feb 2014
