George Burns & Gracie Allen Show in COLOR! (S5E01, FULL EPISODE)
At long last, here is the full video for the only episode of the Burns and Allen show to be filmed in color, the premiere of season 5 (originally aired on Oct 4, 1954). I'd uploaded several clips long ago, but here's the whole show. The only copies of this episode in syndicated reruns have all been in black and white. As far as I know, the color version was shown only once. In this episode, George has invited a pair of TV critics over to watch the season premiere of George and Gracie's "show". The color balance is definitely off in this copy (I tinkered with it the best I could), but still, it's quite a treat to see George and Gracie in color-- color television didn't take off until many years after Gracie's retirement. Gracie was supposed to have been very resistant to being filmed in color due to her insecurity over having eyes that were different colors, but it's not at all visible here.- published: 09 Mar 2014

The Gracie Allen Murder Case (1939) [Complete Movie]
The Gracie Allen Murder Case (1939) [Complete Movie]
One-of-a-kind film starring Gracie without George, this movie was based on a Philo Vance novel by S.S. Van Dyne that featured Gracie's character in its plot. Although George was also included as a character in the novel, he stayed behind the scenes for the movie. In most of their previous film appearances, Burns and Allen were merely comedy relief to whatever the main plot was. Here, however, Gracie is the driving force behind the plot for the entire film. This is quite a funny, well done spoof of formula B movie mysteries of the era, heads and shoulders above most of the work George and Gracie did in Hollywood films. The video is on the fuzzy side, but as usual, the best I could do with the source material. This is an all-too obscure item in the Burns and Allen catalog, well worth watching for fans who have probably never Gracie given dialogue this good in any other film! Also starring Warren Williams as Philo Vance, William Demarest as an exasperated police sergeant, and Donald MacBride as the District Attorney. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031389/reference- published: 27 Sep 2013

Classic TV "George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" Full Episode: Too Much Gracie
Another example of 1950's Popular culture, in this case an episode of "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" possibly called "Too Much of the Mortons" and possibly aired the 5th July, 1951. In this show, Gracie plays her trademark ditzy character, George plays the straight-man, while Bea Benaderet and Fred Clark play an unhappy married couple (though they are happier here than in some other episodes).- published: 17 Dec 2013

George Burns & Gracie Allen Show S1E02 Gracie the artist (Oct 26, 1950) EXTREMELY RARE!
An *extremely* rare live episode from the earliest days of the Burns and Allen show. Gracie visits an art museum and decides to become a famous artist herself when she learns how much money masterpieces are worth. This episode was never seen again on TV after its initial broadcast on Oct 26, 1950, and to my knowledge has never been made available on DVD as so many of the other live episodes from the first two seasons have (mostly by small companies specializing in cheap public domain video.) This came from a deteriorated print in a private collection, which i've tried to clean up to the best of my very limited ability, but it's pretty rough. I hope the episode's extreme rarity outweighs the poor video quality. Note that this script was revisited for a filmed show in season 5, episode 22, broadcast on Feb 28, 1955. The filmed shows of seasons 3 to 8 are the ones currently in syndicated reruns.- published: 26 Aug 2013

Jack Benny made many guest appearances over the years on his good friends' program, The George Burns & Gracie Allen Show. Here's one of his earliest, a very funny, and rarely seen, live show that originally aired on Apr 24, 1952 (which, though it goes unmentioned in the show, happened to be Jack Benny's 58th birthday!)- published: 24 Aug 2013

George Burns & Gracie Allen Show S2E27 Final live episode (Sept 25, 1952)
Another *extremely* rare live episode from the early days of the Burns and Allen show. In this, the very last of the live shows, Gracie schemes to get George out of the house so she can redecorate. This marked the end of the every-other-week live broadcasts. The next fall, the series would begin airing weekly episodes, filmed movie-style with a single camera and no studio audience present. This episode was never seen again on TV after its initial broadcast on Sept 25, 1952, and to my knowledge has never been made available on DVD as so many of the other live episodes from the first two seasons have (mostly by small companies specializing in cheap public domain video.) This came from a deteriorated print in a private collection, which i've tried to clean up to the best of my very limited ability, but it's pretty rough. Gracie Allen in Mr & Mrs North (1942) [Complete Movie]
Gracie Allen in Mr & Mrs North (1942) [Complete Movie]
Gracie Allen's last starring role in a feature film, never released on home video in any format. "Mr. and Mrs. North", much like "The Gracie Allen Murder Case" which preceded it, is a comic murder mystery in which Gracie appears without George. It's odd indeed to see her here playing the wife of another actor (Wilbur Post, Jr). Also interesting is that Gracie plays this part quite differently from her usual style-- much less scatterbrained than usual. Her voice, e.g., is in a lower register much of the time, closer to how she reportedly sounded in real life. The plot isn't much, a fairly routine 1940s mystery potboiler, but this is a valuable film in giving us the chance to see Gracie play a character part somewhat outside her usual mode. The characters of Mr. And Mrs. North were later used in a 1950s television series starring Richard Denning and Barbara Britton. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033926/reference- published: 23 Nov 2013

George Burns & Gracie Allen Show S2E02 Gracie goes to a psychiatrist (Sept 27, 1951) EXTREMELY RARE!
