Li Zhisui (simplified Chinese: 李志绥; traditional Chinese: 李志綏; pinyin: Lǐ Zhìsuī) (b. 1919, Beijing, China d. February 13, 1995, Carol Stream, Illinois) was Mao Zedong's personal physician and confidante. After immigrating to the United States, he wrote a biography of his experiences with Mao entitled The Private Life of Chairman Mao .

Weeks after he announced on a TV interview that he was going to write another memoir^{[citation needed]}, Li died of a heart attack at his son's house. He had lived with his son after immigrating to the United States.

As a physician, Li was interested in psychiatry. In October 1986, Li wrote the Preface for the first Chinese textbook on psychopharmacology, "Psychopharmacological Treatment for Psychiatric Disorders." [Editors: Drs. Song Zuying (Chinese: 宋祖英; pinyin: Sòng Zǔyīng; born August 13, 1966) is an ethnic Miao Chinese singer.

Song was born in Guzhang county, part of a Miao autonomous prefecture in Hunan and studied in the department of music and dancing at the Central Institute for Nationalities in Beijing, after which she studied at the China Music College. Her father died when she was 12, and she is the oldest daughter. In 1991, she joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army Naval Song and Dance Troupe as a national first-class singer. As of 2009, she is a non-combatant Rear Admiral in the Chinese Navy.

In recent years, Song Zuying has visited Europe, Australia, USA, Canada and Southeastern Asia for the art interaction with China Art Delegation. In the World Cup held in Korea in 2002, Song was invited to sing representing the Chinese in the large scale vocal concert. In December 2002, as the culture ambassador for the 30th anniversary for the establishment of the diplomatic relation between China and Australia, she held the vocal concert “Prosperity” in Sydney, Australia successfully. In November 2003, she held the personal vocal concert in the Golden Hall in Vienna, Austria successfully.

Miriam Yeung, RN, (born February 3, 1974) is a Hong Kong actress and Cantopop singer. Before entering the entertainment business, she was a registered nurse at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Hong Kong. She studied at the Holy Family Canossian College Kowloon. She entered the entertainment industry after coming third in the TVB 14th annual New Talent Singing Awards competition in 1995, and has steadily gained popularity ever since.

As a singer, Yeung has had many songs that have been mainstream hits and award winners, such as Why Aquarius (可惜我是水瓶座), Maiden's Prayer (少女的祈禱), "Sisters (姊妹), " and Small City, Important Matter (小城大事). "Small City, Important Matter" and "Maiden's Prayer" have won "Best Song of the Year Award" in 2004 and 2000. She has also been awarded with "Most Popular Female Singer", "2006 CRHK Chik Chak 903 Music Awards Favourite Female Singer", "Female Singer Golden Award", and "HK'S TOP 10 OUTSTANDING YOUTH 2005" which further attested her huge popularity.

Yeung's last album with Gold Label, "Unlimited", was released on December 15, 2006. Her music contract with Gold Label also ended on that day, and she joined Amusic soon after.

Nicholas Teo, (born November 29, 1981), also known as Nicholas Zhang, is a Malaysian singer signed under Play Music. Before returning to Malaysia, Nicholas was studying in Taiwan, where he won the Best Singer in a competition among all the Taiwan universities. Thereafter, he was approached and asked if he would sign up with a company as a back-up singer (backing vocalist, to harmonize with the lead vocalist), which Nicholas subsequently ignored. He returned to Malaysia without finishing his studies and participated in the singing competition “2002 Astro Talent Quest”. Nicholas won first place with the song 黃昏(Huáng Hūn), originally sung by Zhou Chuan Xiong. This led to Nicholas signing a contract in Taiwan with Music Street in 2003. On June 18, 2004 he released his first album 首選張棟樑 (“1st Choice Nicholas”). Music Street eventually merged with Warner Music. Play Music is a record label subsidiary of Singaporean company Musicstreet Pte Ltd. In 2006, Nicholas received the 2006 Hito Newcomer Award in Taiwan. He also successfully completed his From Now On Concert Tour covering stops in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia within the first half-year of 2008. The Malaysian government appointed Teo Penang's 'green ambassador' to spread awareness on environmental issues.

Jia Yi (賈誼, pinyin: Jiǎ Yí; Chia I, Wade-Giles; 201 BCE – 169 BCE) was a Chinese poet and statesman of the Han Dynasty.

Jia Yi was born in 201 BCE in Luoyang.

When he reached the age of 18, he was already well known in his county for his ability in poems and essay-writing, and was referred to as "Jia sheng", i.e. "Student Jia". Soon, he was recommended by Wu Gong (吳公) to Emperor Wen of Han. He soon achieved a high status but was repulsed by older, high-ranking officials at the time such as Zhou Bo (周勃) and Guan Ying (灌嬰).

Jia Yi made many suggestions to Emperor Wen about governing his empire. As an advocate of Confucian reforms, attacking Xiongnu and lessening the power of local governors, he made enemies at court and lost his position. He became the tutor to the King of Changsha, a place he disliked as he feared its humid climate would lead to an early death. When passing the Xiang river, he wrote several poems grieving for his sad fate and compared himself with Qu Yuan, as he believed he was sent into exile. Changsha was known as "The home of Qu [Yuan] and Jia [Yi]" (屈賈之鄉) because of their influence.
