Relativity Media (sometimes written as RelativityMedia and Relativity) is an American film studio located in West Hollywood, California which acquires, develops, produces, and distributes films and produces television programming. Founded in 2004 by Ryan Kavanaugh.

On January 4, 2009, Relativity Media acquired the genre label Rogue Pictures from Universal, for a $150 Million. Relativity oversaw Rogue’s 2009 film offerings, which consisted of Last House On The Left, The Unborn, Come Out Fighting, and My Soul to Take, as well as more than 30 projects in development. The deal also included the Rogue film library, featuring such films as Assault On Precinct 13 and The Strangers. On August 14, 2011, it was reported that Relativity was investing in SkyLand Film & Television Cultural Development Ltd, a China-based production company, signaling new opportunities in the Chinese market. One of the first arrangements was that the movie 21 and Over was partially filmed in Dongshigu, China. On May 18, 2012, it was reported that Relativity was in talks to buy German producer-distributor Senator Entertainment.

Ryan Colin Kavanaugh (born December 4, 1974) is an American film producer and entrepreneur who is the founder and CEO of Relativity Media.

Kavanaugh studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara and later attended the University of California, Los Angeles. While in UCLA, he had been working for Dean Witter Reynolds, but did not graduate.

His father is a German doctor, who is involved with cure for cataracts and can speak nine languages.

On July 7, 2011, Kavanaugh married dancer Britta Lazenga in Capri.

In 2004, Kavanaugh founded Relativity Media. Its first feature film credit was RV. In 2008, the company began agreements with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Lions Gate Entertainment, Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios to co-finance its films until 2015.

In January 2009, Relativity acquired Rogue Pictures from Universal for reportedly $150 million. In July 2010, the company took over the distribution and marketing operations and some assets of the Starz Overture Films subsidiary.

Paul William Walker IV (born September 12, 1973) is an American actor with Albanian ancestry. He became well known in 1999 after his role in the hit film Varsity Blues. He is also known for starring in the surprise summer hit The Fast and the Furious. His other films include Joy Ride, Running Scared, Into the Blue and Eight Below. Walker was born in Glendale, California and raised in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County, the son of Cheryl, a fashion model, and Paul Walker III, a sewer contractor. His paternal grandfather was a professional boxer. He is the oldest of five, having two brothers and two sisters. Walker was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon, church. He attended and graduated from Village Christian School. After high school, he attended several community colleges where he majored in marine biology.

Amber Laura Heard (born April 22, 1986) is an American actress and model. She played the lead and title character in All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2006. Heard was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Her father, David, is a contractor, and her mother, Paige (née Parsons), is an internet researcher for the state.
