Chinese Communist Regime Commemorates Birthday of Xi Jinping's Father
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews October 15 marks the birthday of Xi Jinping's father, Xi Zhongxun. Xi Zhongxun was a veteran communist, and the regime held a nationwide commemoration. Xi Zhongxun was described as a revolutionary advocate. However, his son Xi Jinping has hesitated undertaking reforms at this critical time for the Communist regime. Xi Zhongxun was a former Politburo committee member, and former Vice Premier of China. Celebration of his birthday notably took place in the provinces where he used to work. An art exhibition to commemorate his 100th birthday was held in Guangzhou since September. The government in Gansu hosted a symposium on October 8. The symposium was about the historical impact of the Liangdang mutiny, which was organized by Xi Zhongxun. Shaanxi also organized a forum to commemorate Xi Zhongxun. China Central Television also aired six episodes of a documentary on Xi Zhongxun, from October 14 to 16. The Communist history publisher also published a series of books on Xi Zhongxun. Li Rui, an expert on Communist Party history, revealed that Beijing's Great Hall will be closed on October 15, to host commemorative activities. International media also indicate that the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall will close for one day . It was said that preparations for the celebrations started as early as last year. Qiao Mu, visiting Chinese scholar: "It is a norm in Communist regime culture to flatter the leader." Xi Zhongxun was jailed during the Cultural Revolution. After being re-educated, he held a leadership role in Guangdong in 1978, becoming a strong reformer. On his 88th birthday, Xi Jinping, then governor of Fujian Province, described him as a great hero. When Xi Jinping first took office, he was expected to continue his father's political reform in the regime. Hong Kong based Apple Daily reported that his mother, residing in Shenzhen, hoped Xi Jinping would continue his father's revolutionary legacy. However, the CCP has continued to tighten control of speech, and ideology seems to have turned increasingly left. It is considered that the celebration of Xi Zhongxun is to relieve public concerns over increasing leftist encroachment. Journalist Gao Yu told Deutsche Welle that the memorial is just a Communist bureaucracy of honoring the son. It does not represent that Xi Zhongxun's political stance is recognized or followed by the regime, or by Xi Jinping. Bian Hexiang, Chair of U.S. based "Guardian Alliance": "Even though Xi Jinping is also a princeling, his father wasn't recognized by the regime in the past few decades. Mao oppressed him, and Xi Jinping was even once identified within the "five black categories". Princelings are controlling the Communist regime now. Xi Jinping is proving that he too is one of the princelings, and his father was once an authoritative figure in the CCP." The political commentator Zhou Xiaohui indicated that Xi Jinping's relies on his own determination to pave his own path within the Communist Party's politics. Bian Hexiang: "For decades, the CCP officials have not served the people. It is only for power and politics. Their end goal justifies their lying, violence, cheating, and betraying the country." The publication, the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" reveals that almost every Chinese person has been directly or indirectly persecuted by a series of political movements. This includes the counter-revolutionary campaign, land reforms, "three evils", "five evils", the famine in the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, June 4 massacre, and the persecution of Falun Gong. Bian Hexiang: "The CCP have been deceiving the Chinese people since their founding. Whatever they have promised, whether democracy, or a republic, has ultimately turned out to be nothing." Xi Jinping insists on one -party rule, rejecting democracy in order to maintain stability through force. This is analyzed to be leading China into long term recession. Nationwide upheaval will result from serious crises and recession. 《神韵》2013世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/- published: 16 Oct 2013

Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews On October 31, Meng Jianzhu, Secretary of Central Politics and Legal Affairs Commission (PLAC) commented on the Tiananmen car crash incident. Meng suggested it was connected with the terrorist group named East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM). China has claimed in the past that members of ETIM were active in Pakistan and mid-Asia regions. It has also claimed that ETIM is behind Xinjiang regional violence. Radio Free Asia cited Huang Dong, an Australia-based military expert. ETIM normally admits responsibility after it's activities. It has now been five days since the Tiananmen crash, and they haven't said anything, which is not ETIM's style. Deutsche Welle said that security experts questioned whether ETIM exists or not. Xi Zhongxun Cemetery Turned to Temporary Petitioner Settlement On November 1, Japan's Sankei Shimbun reported that the grave of Xi Jinping's father Xi Zhongxun's has become a temporary settlement for petitioners. The report discussed the recent Chinese Communist Party commemorations of Xi Zhongxun. It was rumored that Xi Jinping's mother Qi Xin would visit her husband's grave in Fuping County, Shanxi Province. Petitioners from Hunan, Liaoning and Guangdong went there to wait for Qi, in order to tell her of their mistreatment. Some petitioners have encamped there for several months. The petitioners told Sankei Shimbun's reporter that they knew there was even no hope from waiting there. Chinese Police Harass Western Diplomats Visiting Activist Ni Yulan On November 1, Swedish, Swiss and Australian diplomats in Beijing visited activist Ni Yulan. Ni Yulan was recently released from jail. Voice of America quote Ni saying that before the diplomats entered her home, plainclothes police stopped them and harassed them. Ni said that prior to the diplomats arrival, her landlord wanted to take the house back. She was requested to move out that morning. Ni's husband Dong Jiqin commented on the plainclothes police who prevented the diplomats from entering the house. A police officer named Tian had come from Changqiao Police Station, and the rest were new faces. The plainclothes police were video recording what was happening. However, when Dong used a mobile phone to record them, they tried to avoid him. Ni worked as a lawyer in a Beijing law firm, taking on human rights cases, and exposing the illegality of forced demolitions during the Olympics. Ni was beaten by police, who left her unable to walk. Subsequently, she was put into prison several times. 《神韵》2013世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/- published: 04 Nov 2013

Chinese State Media Report Cultural Revolution Apologies
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews Chen Xiaolu is the son of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) veteran general Chen Yi. Chen Xiaolu recently returned to Beijing No.8 Middle School, which he attended as a child. In a reunion of alumni, he apologized for the torture of teachers during the Cultural Revolution. This move was highly reported by state-run media. Analysts say that this is to pave the road of abandoning the "leftist line" for the upcoming Third Plenary Sessions. 67-year-old Chen Xiaolu, is Chairman of the alumni association in Beijing No.8 Middle School. On October 7, Chen returned to his former school, along with 14 other alumni. They bowed face-to-face with their teachers, who were now in their 80's. They apologized to their teachers for the torture and persecution they endured during the Cultural Revolution. In August, Chen Xiaolu posted an apology letter on a blog of the alumni association for Beijing No.8 Middle School. Chen sincerely apologized for his rebellion and organizing denouncements of school leaders, teachers and students. Huang Jian, Secretary of the alumni association: "Chen Xiaolu thought about the apologies for a long time. This is in his deep mind. He made up his mind to have it done. Being the Chairman, he did it on the behalf of all of us." In June, Yanhuang Chunqiu magazine published an apology letter written by a former Red Guard. Subsequently, more former Red Guards publicly expressed their repentance and apologies. Chen Xiaolu's apology for the Cultural Revolution triggered wide media attention. On October 7, China Youth Daily published an article, about Chen and other alumni apologizing to their teachers. Mainstream state-media, including Xinhua and Sina websites, have circulated the article. Huang Jian expressed surprise at the wide reporting of this event in media coverage, especially state media. Huang Jian: "The regime always censors this topic. Now it seems to have opened a little, allowing media to truthfully report on it. I think it is a good signal." Their apologies also aroused different opinions. Netizens highlighted that the Cultural Revolution was several decades ago, and questioned the motivation of publicizing apologies now? How should we interpret this event? Hua Po, Beijing current affairs observer says that behind Chen's high-profile apologies is likely to lay the intentions of high-level's. Hua Po: "Actually, Chen reminds people not to repeat the tragedy, and not to follow the way of the 'leftist line'. It likely has high-level support. Thus in some way, it also conveys the high-level message." Zhang Jian, US-based China social affairs expert thinks that since the second and third generation princelings took power, mistreatment of civilians has increased. Now the regime used this event to express that the Xi Jinping regime won't turn to the "left". Zhang Jian: "They tried to win people's hearts, and handle some issues in a soft and low-profile way. They let civilians think that these princelings feel sorry for what they had done during that time, and that they still have gratitude toward their teachers. In this way, the CCP intends to counterbalance its bad reputation." As media were reporting Chen's apology, Beijing's Great Hall of the People held an event to commemorate Xi Zhongxun's 100th birthday. Xi Zhongxun was former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee and Vice Premier. He is the father of Xi Jinping, the current CCP leader. Hua Po: "Xi Zhongxun's wife Qi Xin and their children gave speeches. Their talks focused on Xi Zhongxun's experience during the Cultural Revolution. Once more, they mentioned the Cultural Revolution having brought great damage and harm to China. They vowed that China will not return to the Cultural Revolution." In the event, many former CCP leaders' children turned up. This included Mao Zedong's daughter, Li Min as well as Liu Shaoqi's son, Liu Yuan. Deng Xiaoping's son, Deng Pufang also attended, as did Hu Yaobang's son, Hu Deping. Hua Po says that with Chen Xiaolu's apology letter, it indicates that Xi Jinping has gathered different groups' leaders under his banner, This is to pave a way for the upcoming Third Plenary Session of 18th CCP congress. 《神韵》2013世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/- published: 18 Oct 2013

Xi Jinping Visits Hunan But Shuns Mao's Hometown?
Follow us on TWITTER: http://twitter.com/cnforbiddennews Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/chinaforbiddennews While the Third Plenary is approaching, CCP leader Xi Jinping pays a sudden visit to Hunan and Changsha. Contrary to former leaders' routine, Xi skips Mao Zedong's former residence, located in Shaoshan, Hunan. Much speculation is going on and the following is our coverage. November 3, Xi Jinping visited Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture located in Wuling Mountain of Hunan. Xi went about and personally picked a pomelo in the field. In this poorest region, one of many in China, Xi went into a wooden home. The only electric item in the household is an energy-saving lamp. The next day, Xi Jinping bypassed Shaoshan and rushed to Changsha, where he visited an electronic group, a pollution control Research Center at Central South University, and a technology company. Hua Po, a Beijing political commentator: "He did not visit Mao's former residence for fear of being labeled a conservative. In the Third Plenum he'll be talking about reform which requires him to cloak on as a reformist. Visiting Mao's former residence at this point would not be appropriate." Commentator Hua Po believes Xi Jinping's visit to the poor area is to show he cares about their livelihood, and his visit to Changsha indicates his desire to develop technology for economic transformation. Hong Kong media Apple Daily reported that a visit to Shaoshan, Hunan has been an inherent orthodox of the CCP leaders. In March 1991, Jiang Zemin was there to pay tribute to Mao Zedong as General Secretary of the CCP and Chairman of the Central Military Commission; 2003, Hu Jintao also specifically visited Shaoshan shortly after he became the Chinese President. Apple Daily: Xi Jinping revealed his and his father's deep feelings for Shaoshan. In the 1980s when reform and opening up were first initiated, the non-Maoist rose, Xi Zhongxun actually defended Mao Zedong by visiting Shaoshan three times to pay tribute to Mao. His last visit was when he was the Politburo Standing Committee & Vice-Chairman of the National People's Congress. In July this year, during Xi Jinping's visit to Hubei Province, Xi visited Mao's former residence in Wuhan. He specifically gave his instruction to Hubei provincial party secretary: "This year marks the 120th anniversary of Chairman Mao. Mao's former residence must become the Patriotic Education and revolutionary Education Base." In fact, Xi Jinping almost died in the name of "anti-CCP via novels" by Mao Zedong. At the age of 15, Xi was sent to the countryside, where he stayed for nearly 7 years. Yao Jianfu, former researcher of Rural Development Research Center of the State Council told Deutsche Welle that: Xi Jinping took part in the writing of the second volume of the "Chinese Communist Party history" in 2011. His affirmative recognition of the "three major reforms, anti-rightist, economic development during the Cultural Revolution" and his talk about "two no-denying" of the CCP history can be corroborated that, both Xi Jinping and the former Chongqing Party Secretary Bo Xilai take the same political route, i.e., the Maoist route." Xi Jinping's unexpected by-pass of Mao's former residence is just an expediency. He has done his job to regulate the liberals as the new leader, he does not have to please the leftist by visiting Shaoshan at this point. Recently, the arresting and suppression of dissidents, reporters, and the media have intensified to the highest extent in recent years. Foreign media have revealed that the CCP's propaganda to "occupy the new media battlefield" and "criticize Western universal values" are associated with Xi Jinping. However, there are also comments that Xi's trip to Hunan concerns his desire to purge Zhou Yongkang and his allies in the Politics and Law Committee. Political commentator Xia Xiaoqiang explains that whenever there is an event of international focus in China, fatal incidents would occur in Hunan Politics and Law Committee, such as Li Wangyang was killed, petitioner Tang Hui was sent to the labor camp, private entrepreneur Zheng Chengjie are suddenly executed by death penalty, as well as the recent New Express incident. Xia Xiaoqiang, Political commentator: "The fundamental reason is that Chen Yongzhou (New Express reporter) exposed the financial secrets of the Zoomlion (company), and the massive corruption involving the Politics and Law Committee of Hunan and Zhou Yongkang and his descendant." Xia Xiaoqiang believes Xi Jinping's purpose was to resolve Hunan political and law system controlled by Zhou Yongkang. October 31, hoax bombs threat took place in four airplanes in Changsha route. It seems Hunan really has some issues. 《神韵》2013世界巡演新亮点 http://www.ShenYunPerformingArts.org/- published: 07 Nov 2013
