I just came from Manchester where i was a Live-in aupair/nanny during one year. I was taking care of two wonderful and energic children aged 2 and 8. During this year i used to play with children, get them ready for school, bring them to the school, park, cinema, playground. Give them bath, prepare them for the bed time. Prepare meals, do the laundry, clean the house once a week and keep it tidy everyday. They had one dog and two cats, so i used to take care of the pets as well.

Before this year in England, i use to work as a leader in summer camp for children aged 2 to 6 or 9 to 12. I used to do this every summer holiday and others students holidays during 3 years. In these summer camp, we organize different kind of activities : balls game, horsing, swimming pool, manuals activities, nature camp and discovery of nature and much more.

I also had a french qualification call BAFA : a certificate of competency to function as kid leader. This certificate able me to work with children of any age in accordance with the french law and the security rules.

I can't drive a car because I don't have a driver license, but i know how to use the public transport in Melbourne, and i was always using the public transport in Manchester, with the kids.

I'm a smiing and reliable person. I'm fit and i enjoy spent time with children. I'm also mature and have the sense of good values.

I am a 27 year old British female.
I completed my BSc Psychology degree with honours (2:1) in July 2012.
In the final year of university my studies were mainly focused around children, studying social development in children and special education and inclusion needs.
During my studies at university I was fortunate enough to secure work experience in the field of education, additionally volunteering for placements to enhance my skills and abilities working with children. My voluntary work ranged from working in an infant school as a reception class assistant for a year to shadowing a special education assistant and working with an Educational Psychologist in a diagnostic clinic specialising in ASD. These were very worthwhile and ultimately rewarding experiences working with children.
My work with Take a Break (2011-2012) involved taking sole responsibility for young individuals with disabilities (mostly Autism but not exclusively). I worked both on a 1:1 basis assisting in everyday tasks including homecare, but importantly helping an individual integrate socially into the community. I held responsibility for their medication, managed levels of ADHD and organised daily sheets keeping track of each child’s progress. Not only this but I also ran play schemes which involved working with children in both mainstream and specialised education.
I have travelled to Australia to gain further experience and progress with further training. I trained as an ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) therapist under the Lizard Centre in Sydney Australia (the top ABA clinic in the country). After my training I took a post as an ABA shadow in a Kindergarten setting with two four year olds which uses ABA techniques in behavioural, academic and social deficiencies to aid the child in this environment. Prior to this I had gained insight into ABA as a therapy as a live in Au pair for three months in the Australian outback. I helped generalise skills and recorded data on one of the siblings who was autistic.
On a Tuesday I currently nanny for a two year old girl and her four year old brother.
From these roles I have had a lot of positive feedback from parents and schools and have produced fantastic results of which I am very proud of.
I am a keen, enthusiastic, hard working individual. I am determined to apply the knowledge and skills gained over the last few years in a work based setting. I wish to help and support children who require a commitment to thrive.
