London i/ˈlʌndən/ is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile (2.9 km2) medieval boundaries and in 2011 had a resident population of 7,375, making it the smallest city in England. Since at least the 19th century, the term London has also referred to the metropolis developed around this core. The bulk of this conurbation forms Greater London, a region of England governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. The conurbation also covers two English counties: the small district of the City of London and the county of Greater London. The latter constitutes the vast majority of London, though historically it was split between Middlesex (a now abolished county), Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire.
London Court is a three- and four-level open-roofed shopping arcade located in the central business district in Perth, Western Australia. It was built in 1937 by wealthy gold financier and businessman, Claude de Bernales for residential and commercial purposes. The arcade runs between the Hay Street Mall and St Georges Terrace and is considered an important tourist attraction in the City of Perth. It received a National Trust of Australia classification in 1978 and was recorded in the Register of the National Estate in 1982. The Heritage Council of Western Australia included it in the State Heritage Register in 1996.
The distinctive mock-Tudor/Elizabethan façade and architectural features includes ornate entrances with large wrought-iron gates at each end. At the Hay Street end at the first storey level, a large clock chimes every quarter-hour, half-hour and on the hour. Four mechanised knights appear from a castle door and move in a semicircle each time the clock chimes as they apparently joust with each other. At the Terrace end, another clock in a window shows a miniature Saint George doing battle with the dragon. The clocks were made by the Synchronome Company of London at a cost of £4,000.

A woman from Sierra Leone accused UK-African preacher Gilbert Deya of raping her for the past eight years. She came from Sierra Leone in 2003 and initially went to Deya after being convinced by her friends that he was the only man able to cure her of the voices in her head. She said that she’d become pregnant and Deya forced her to have an abortion, then she also explained that Deya had molested her daughter. It seems like a straightforward testimony, however it took an hour before the London court realized the alleged rape victim wasn’t speaking English. She was, in fact, speaking Krio, a language native to Sierra Leone Creole people and spoken by 97% of the population. It wasn’t until the court clerk, also originally from Sierra Leone, told Judge Nicholas Madge about the language issue...

Britain First activists have confronted the biggest operating Sharia Court in London. There are around 100 of these illegal courts operating in the UK. When entering the building, our activists found legal advice posters on the walls and a purpose made "court" in a back room. The fact these Islamic courts are operating in the UK is scandalous.
